Also very bad experience. I came to this place because of all the good reviews on Google, and my first visit wasnt bad. He explained everything and gave me a thorough exam. But then, when I sat down to pick out frames and get re acquainted with contact lenses (which I had had before only a couple years earlier), he told her to charge it as a "new patient fitting" which was $10 more than the renewal fitting charge. After working with doctors many years, I could tell he just wanted my $10. Then, when I was told that my insurance covered the "exam" with a $10 copay, they suddenly tell me that the "fitting" fee is $65! To show me how to put contacts in (which she didnt do since I already knew how) and for me to pick out frames (that I didnt like). She definitely gave me the impression that I needed to buy frames from them in order to get glasses, so I did. Their prices are ridiculous! $165 for non-name brand frames PLUS one hundred and whatever for the lenses. I found a much cuter Vogue frame at Target for $120! On my recheck visit, he was 10 minutes late for my appointment because he was doing SURGERY (an optometrist) on his receptionists eye! What?! Then he tells me "if it were you, I wouldnt do it. I wouldve sent you to a surgeon." Great. He was really nonchalant about my recheck exam, even though I had concerns that they had given me the WRONG POWER of contacts for my left eye. He just upped the prescription anyway and sent me on my way. Ive worked with good optometrists before, and he is not one. Didnt even hear my concerns. My bill was over $350 after my insurance covered almost $300 of the cost. Outrageous! Then, when I found those cheaper frames at Target, I called to cancel the ones I had ordered through them. They said they couldnt return the lenses, but they could return the frames and just put lenses in my new frames. Fair enough. I had them return them, and she called and said that the credit should be on my insurance again. Well, its been about 9 days now, and I just spoke with the insurance company (who has tried to get them to send the form correctly THREE times previously), and they still sent the form in wrong. I cant believe it. What kind of people are working here that they cant do that right? So, needless to say that after they put the lenses in my frames, Im washing my hands of that place and taking my business elsewhere. Please check prices before you come here.

Kent G. is not very friendly, I can even call him pompous, heck, maybe even a bit of a jerk. Hes not a friendly person, hes quite condescending and gives off a feel of self-importance. The staff are fine and normal people. Two years ago when I went to get new glasses the optometrist (which I think was Kent) did his job well enough; however the person who helps you find the right pair of frames did not. He threw some frames at me to try on and since Im on Medicaid he didnt really bother to help me find alternatives. He let me pick from a very limited selection and when I said okay, that was that. He didnt comment on how they were too small, the bridge size, the dimensions of the frame, etc. He just ignored it, Im sure he could tell by a glance they were too small but he decided not to care/do his job. I did not know that I could apply the $69 from Medicaid to some decent frames because they did not tell me. These glasses have been a nightmare. Theyve literally made a dent into my head and have given me periodic headaches from time to time. I should have taken them back and complained but I felt uncomfortable doing that. Such poor service and such horrible glasses. The only good thing to merit even one star is that Kent actually does his job well and Frank, the man who helped me measure everything required for frames online, was very-very helpful. If they dont do their job and they treat you like they have treated me, demand for a refund or simply walk out without paying. Its ridiculously bad how terrible these glasses are. Theyre metal and theyre bent like crazy to fit my head. Hopefully my new glasses will arrive by Monday.

If you like to shop around for the best price on frames and find the best eye doctor, your first conversation with one of the staff will assure you that this is the place to go. They have the absolute best customer service out of anywhere I have been before. I was trying to find a place that sells a pair of designer glasses that I was looking for and takes my VSP insurance. I was amazed to find that their price on frames was below anywhere else I had looked and since they took my insurance I was able to save a lot of money. This is one of those few places that you find such great customer service that you are willing to spend a bit more “if” you had to (which from my experience here, you don’t). Since I am currently working out of town, I get to come home every three weeks. With not much time to spare and a tight schedule on my weekend off, they worked me in and I had an eye exam before heading back to work. Everyone in the office is a pleasure to talk with and they are very knowledgeable (they matched me with some lenses that gave me better vision than my previous ones). Thank you Vision Masters for the wonderful experience and great care. I will recommend you to anyone I know.

***CAUTION*** I would have to chime in with John Fs statement robbers and thieves. I found a pair of frame and while they were over priced I proceeded with an eye exam and purchase. During my eye exam the doctor started talking about my contacts and I said I was only interested in the glasses. He went on and on and on about a different lens that will fit better, feel better, etc. When I left the exam for my glasses and paid for my visit, I was hit with a $380 bill that included around $175 paid by my insurance. I was charged for contact lens exam, contact lens fitting, etc. I was taken advantage of and when I requested the contact lens bill be refunded, they overbearing office manager got very vocal with me. Move on to a more reputable office that you can have a lifelong relationship with and not this place.

I just moved to the area. I was on my way to get groceries and saw the eye Doctor sign. I had a few minutes so I went in to check them out. The ladies were so friendly and kind to me. I did not have my insurance card and one gentleman looked me up. I didnt even ask. They found me in the system and was able to schedule me for a time that worked for me - on a Saturday! Great first experience. Wait until I tell you what happened next! I go there right on time and then did not have to wait! The whole medical team was very knowledgeable and professional. I learned more about my vision health than I ever had before, been wearing glasses since I was 8 and I am 56. I am recommending this shop to all my family and friends. Thanks for teaching me so much and making my vision better than ever!
