This is the first time I have ever been to an eye doctor. It wasnt for me but my 5 year old daughter so I had no idea what to expect. I however did not expect them to be so unpersonable and unwilling to explain anything to me. They acted like it was a bother to see us and my daughter was pretty cooperative considering neither one of us knew what we were suppose to do. We did not see the female doctor, it was a male doctor. I explained we were there because the nurse at school said my daughter failed her vision test but that my daughter also just didnt want to do the vision test. He did the eye exam and then in a serious tone said "so who did this to her?" I asked what he was talking about. He said shes farsighted with an astigmatism and that its hereditary so either I did it or her father did it. I told him Ive never needed glasses but her father wore them a couple years as a child. He was pleased with himself that her dad had worn them as a child. All he said was that she needs glasses and sent us out. The ladies at the front desk pointed to the area of glasses that our insurance would cover. They were never very helpful about what I should be looking for. I asked about the smaller ones for little kids and she told me insurance wouldnt cover them and that they started at $98 or something but the ones that were covered, were for kids. So we picked from the ones insurance covered and the lady said they were fine. Once we got them, they were not fine. Even after their "adjustment" they would not stay on my childs face and my daughter told me they made her see worse. So I asked the school nurse to recheck her and as I had said, my daughter didnt want to do the test the first time but this time she did and her vision was better without the glasses than with. The nurse recommended I go get my money back and wait till the school does a program for free eye exams and glasses. But my daughter had 20/40 vision according to the nurse so after research I figured maybe the glasses were making it worse because they were too big, so I was going to borrow money to get glasses that do fit my child. So my mom goes back with me and asks about those same glasses the lady told me insurance doesnt cover and they tell her that insurance pays some and would only cost $30 out of pocket. So is this a scam or what? Why did I get a different answer than my mom? My mom bought the glasses and when I picked them up they "adjusted" them for us. These are much smaller and they were still falling of my daughters face. My mom and I finally took my daughter to my parents eye doctor to get adjusted and after one adjustment they fit perfect. I still dont know if my girl needs glasses because to do stuff she still always takes them off. So $30 because I got polycarbonate for the first pair, $60 ($30 polycarbonate, $30 for glasses) for the second pair, so I probably just threw away $90. Plus gas back and forth so many times wasted on something that she either doesnt need or they got the prescription wrong. The only reason I picked one star is because zero or negative stars is not an option.

THE WORST PLACE ON THIS ENTIRE EARTH. My whole family wears glasses (5 in all), This office has a very RACIST group of people. They keep trying to scam you, and keep trying to make you order glasses when they guaranteed free replacement of just the LENSES. The glasses are a quality of not even 0, its so bad that the review deserves a negative. They try to charge double on your insurance. Ive been to other eye places before, but I went here because it was the closest. They are SCAMMERS. SCAMMERS, SCAMMERS, SCAMMERS. They will try and make it to the insurance so you cant buy glasses anywhere else. DONT GET TRICKED. This place needs to be shut down and investigated. They make your eyes sound worse LIKE YOURE BLIND. They are not doctors they are scammers and dont know what they are talking about. When we went to another specialist, they assured us that my younger sibling did not have a hopeless blind eye. Their glasses are faulty. YOU want to be trapped with the worst business for your eyes in the world? Its this place.

We were there for 2 1/2 hours! The office is terribly run. After we waited so long, they push you to buy glasses from them. After we declined and just asked for our prescriptions, they stamped the doctors signature upside down, which the next optical department would not accept. When we went to buy glasses from the second establishment, we find out that Dr. oparas office had informed our insurance that we were under contract with them to only buy glasses from them. You have to call back multiple times to get them to lift the hold from the insurance side. Do NOT go here. It is a pain and a hassle in all fronts. The Sams Club Optemitrist in Mansfield had me and my other child In and out within 20 minutes with no issues and was only $40. Cheaper for less headaches, go figure!

This is the worst place I have ever been to in my life... I should have walked out the door but I stayed like an idiot. When the doctor finally gave me my contacts to try the new pair she gave me my right eye for my left and and let for my right,,, i am near sighted in one eye and far in the other so you can imagine how weird it is to have contacts in the wrong eyes. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. I was there 2 and 1/2 hours and the place stunk... it was the junkiest office I have ever been in... Unfortunately I was forced to find another doctor to accept my insurance as my old doctor quit accepting. I will definitely be more careful in my next choice

I took my boys for an eye exam. Not only did the visit take forever (I was there for almost 2 1/2 hours), I did not feel Dr. Opara did a thorough examination. First of all, my youngest son could not reach the equipment, but that did not keep Dr. Opara from evaluating him while he tried pushing himself up with his hands. With my second son, Dr. Opara would barely allow my son to answer if he could see clear before she diagnosed him. I was not convinced at all that her evaluation of my boys eyes was accurate. Im currently looking for another pediatric optometrist for a second opinion.

Extremely unprofessional! I have waited over two months for my glasses and called my eye care insurance provided and they havent even requested my glasses. I have called multiple times to check on them and they continue to say the lab has not picked them up. My insurance provider says the order was never entered! The front desk was unprofessional, and the doctor seemed uninterested and couldnt care less. I have had my eyes checked my entire life, and this was easily the worst experience.

Unprofessional, rude, and trashy office. If you like to hear receptionists talk about their baby daddy, how their kids teacher are bad, and whos picking them up from school rather than them helping you, then go here. Office rooms are labled with printed paper and thumb tacks. I walked into the waiting room with BET blaring a rap video. The Doctor said 1 word to me, and ignored my questions until she walked out of the room. I will never go back, and I suggest you dont either.
