I made an appointment 6 weeks ago for a orthokeratology exam. The person I talked to said the cost would be $85.00. Allow 2-2 1/2 hours for this thorough exam. Fine... I must have received over 10 texts and emails reminding me of my appointment. When I got there the clinician and her student were cordial, and nice. Their exam took at the most was ten minutes, and I was told they couldnt help me because I wasnt using their branded contact lenses. So where was the thorough exam? No this was just a consultation NOT the full exam. Then the price became $105.00. Im sure they do good work here, but by God the communication on what they do is sorely lacking. I am waiting to hear from the director of this operation. A total waste of my time...

Youll be seen by a student, but exams are overseen by an attending physcian who may examine you personally depending on circumstances. Appointments are easy to make online, and if you need to drive, they provide a parking pass so that you can park close to the clinic on Optometry Lane (turn in from Piedmont, on the north side of campus).

Summary based on many visits over years, first being examined with students, later with ODs. -you can ask for ODs and avoid students, who take longer, but are generally able and well supervised -a parking fee is charged now -accepts many insurance (notably VSP) Recommended
