Not even from a mechanic have i felt swindled like i did at Brinley and Morad. So I make an appointment for my wife and myself. Glasses for her and contacts for me. While we were looking at frames for her I am notified by the receptionist that I need to pay an extra $50 for my wifes contact lens examination. "But she came here for glasses..." "well she must have said yes in the examination room..." I am told. So we did not get contacts for her, although since i could not get out of the $50 extra I was given a trial pair for her. When I confirm my contacts are ready I was asked how many do I want? "Just what my insurance covers thank you", I am determined not to give them any more $. Well when I go to pick up my contacts I am told that it will be $25 extra, the contacts come in boxes of 6 for $65 a piece, my insurance covers $105. I would rather start over and pay out of pocket with a new optometrist than give these people another dime, based simply on their practices

I have been a patient here for several years. Its easy to get an appoinment. They send a text reminder of appoointment if you wish, as well as phone call. Parking validated in their garage. Waiting area and exam rooms are pleasant and clean. I get a thorough exam and trust Dr. Brinley. I do recomemend purchasing contact lenses elsewhere (online). There is no pressure to buy glasses from them,but one of the assistants will sit with you and help pick out styles (with no sales pressure). Cost of eyeglasses seems comparable, but it cant hurt to shop around. I recently ordered new glasses and they arrived less than 2 days later. Never any suprises when I come here or leave here. My husband recently started coming here as well after seeing how satisfied I have been. Overall, a great eye doctor group, especially if you live in long beach/downtown long beach area.

after 2 bad yrs with one eye dr. i came here and was really happy. they took extra care to make sure contacts were a good match and i could see and then helped me find frames to go with my features and prescription. I recommend this place 100%. they answer any questions and are just all around friendly and worth every penny.

Receptionist was very rude (thyroid condition? her eyes were huge). Asked for help about getting contacts. She was rude and very short in her comments. Not going back bc of her!
