I was taken to Pacific Hospital June 17th 2012 stopped breathing, I am a 56 year old male in otherwise good health. I was admitted with an oxygen sat of 70% which is all but brain dead, after being in for 3 days it was determined that I had a Sepsis infection of the right lung, with that being said Dr. Juri Koneckne was called in from out of the country to do a very specialized surgery called a Lung Decortication translates to the removal or partial removal of a lung and any infection. I flat-lined 3 times in recovery and actually had an out of body experience, Dr. Koneckne was more than a good doctor he saved my life literally. After 3.5 weeks I was finally released home and spent the next 6 months recovering, in better shape than before and doing well, Pacific has a very good bedside manner and excellent help. it is the furthest away from my home but will choose that no matter what! We arrived at the ER with a girl who was detoxing from heroin. We explained that this girl had a detox bed at Redgate but was being made to jump thru hoops to get in and part of this was a "psych eval" on a friday afternoon, with no guidance where to do do this and with this kid detoxing and about to hit the streets again and do who knows what. So, although busy and many folks with needs the nurses and doctors there worked hard and quickly to do all needed steps to get her stabilized and out in order to make a deadline at the detox center. I was so grateful and impressed with their heart and attitude and help. In fact we even had to call back later that evening for the Doctor to give more clarification and ...we were able to do that- above and beyond. Thanks to this team we may have saved a life.

Well, I just got here to register for my surgent and so far its been. A hot mess. I went to registration, and they sent me to the er. To get into the er, I had to walk through a metal detector. The waiting room is disappointing. Very much unkempt. I got here at 7 like the hospital themselves called and told me to. The girl at the er desk told me just to sit for a while because registration doesnt open for another hour. Security is a damn joke. They are unprofessional, hugging and kissing all over the er nurses neck while Im talking to her. They have six security officers and I highly doubt that all of them together can protect anyone from any harm. Im just going to silently pray that I do not die here.

Yes, the wait to vist for an escort is too long, I ask if the security needed a walker or a wheelchair when I found out there was only 2 floors to this building. yes, the staff is nice if they can retain their fake smile and attitude, one of them showed his empathy and assist us nicely during our first visit. Others, need some training in customer service, instead of saying "you got to go" and refer that ladies, Im sorry that your time was shorten, but we have to clear all vistors from this area and you would have to leave now. I could say more, but you would probably figure out the rest

Everyone was really nice but not experienced at all. I was taken to the ER because I had a seizure. They did an EKG instead of an EEG which is what they were supposed to do when someone has a seizure. They told me to pee in a cup but forgot about it and just discharged me. No questions about an MRI or CT scan either. They were just like "well you seem fine now so we are going to discharge you." If you want comprehensive care do not go to this ER.

They were extremely rude i could hear them making racial remarks about my ethnicity. I had a suicide attemp and drank bleach, all i was offered was a cup of water for the 12 hours i was hospitalized. I couldnt get up for water because i was hooked an iv. They ignored me calling them. Also the iv was stuck in the fold of my arm so i was force to sleep with my arm extended. Good riddance, i hope you all read this, you should be shut down

I have been here for several hours. I brought my daughter in because she was in a lot of pain and we have been sitting here for over 2 hours and we are the only ones in the waiting room. They called in some girl before my daughter and the girl was outside smoking laughing her lungs out not even in a lil bit of pain. And here my daughter dying in pain. Worst hospital ever. I wouldnt even give it a star if it was possible.

I went into the emergency room for severe nausea. They helped me!! But when I received the bill they had invoiced for services they had not performed. So far my telephone calls to their staff are being met with no willingness to adjust their bill. I have a choice of facilities to patronize, even in the middle of the night. Next time I will go some where else.
