I wanted to have just a routine eye exam because I want to purchase a Ray-Ban prescription sunglasses. I was being pressured to have a DFE Dilation exam. I asked about any side effects and I was told that my eyes would be sensitive to light and will not be able to see clearly. I was told by a technician named Terry that the Intermediate exam w/o DFE does not cause any side effects and it will replace the DFE Dilation. After I had the Intermediate exam, I was told by the eye doctor ( Dr. Chang, O.D.) that what Terry told me is not true! Dr. Chang told myself that I need to have the DFE Dilation and when I refused due to the side effects, I was told by Dr. Chang to sign the Informed Refusal form. I dont understand why I am being told one thing and then another! These people are using scare tactics to make me pay more for the eye exam. I was also told by Dr. Chang that I need to have the Progressive Lens. I later found out that at certain distances, it causes blurred vision due to the technology not being perfected yet unlike Bifocals lenses. I should have just purchased the Single-Vision lenses instead of Progressive Lenses.

Wow this must have been prior to the new management. The team there now has taken care of both of my kids sport goggles for soccer and my sons Oakley daily wear glasses. Always get the glasses back within 1/2 hour to an hour without fail and they have always been nice to us.
