Extremely disappointed in the service I recently got at this vet office. The vet doesnt seem very personable; especially if you disagree with her determination &/or treatment plans! Ive brought my nearly 4 month old Great Dane there a couple times with the concern about his urinating habbits. He goes outside & squats multiple times to urinate. He acts like he never empties his bladder. I brought him back there this week to have a lump looked at on his belly near his sheath. The vet initially said she had no idea what this lump was & that she was actually perplexed on what it could be; even after squeezing & moving it around. She then immediately proceeded to say to me; "Im going to sedate him, remove the foreign object & neuter him". WHAT... ARE YOU SERIOUS! This is a 4 MONTH old XL breed dog. In my opinion; if she had any kind of extensive experience or knowledge in XL breeds she would know that this is one of the worst things you can do at this young age. Based on the research Ive done over the years; owning 5 Great Danes; neutering any animal, let alone an XL breed throws off their hormones during their puppy/growing stages & can lead to serious complications later in life; proper hormone maturity, growth plate issue, bone density, etc. The research Ive seen explains that animals have 3 main hormones (Oestrogen, Progesterone & Testosterone). These hormones allow & create physical, social & behavioral maturity. Without these hormones if the dog is immature when the operation is completed, the animal may not behaviorally & physically reach full maturity. Both physiological & psychological problems can occur. Pediatric neutering can greatly harm our animals in the long run. Research has shown that dogs over 4 years of age that are altered at too early of an age have a greater risk & are more likely to suffer cruciate tears (ACL) & hip dysplasia. Early neutering can also result in spindly legs, narrow chests, thin skulls & reduced bone density. When I immediately dismissed her idea of neutering him at such an early age; she stood up & was ready to walk out of the room with her hand on the door knob. I expressed my concerns to the tech in the room that the vet was so eager to neuter him at this early age & the techs response was that the vet works with the shelter & they alter everything. Nothing leaves the shelter in tact. Well this isnt a shelter dog & its absurd to even consider neutering a dog; especially an XL breed, at this early age when not medically necessary (or for breed population when dealing with shelter pets). I dont care how "cheap" their services are; like the saying goes, "You get what you pay for!" You pay cheap prices & you get cheap service & care! I would highly recommend doing your research before bringing your fur baby here! UPDATE: Took my baby to another vet for a second opinion (& to establish a new vet) & they discovered that the lump was actually just an allergic reaction to a wasp sting. The vet was able to remove the stinger & shortly after; the lump disappeared. Affordable Vet wanted to sedate him, do x-rays & put him through surgery to "remove a foreign object" potentially costing me $368.00 - $388.00! Thats not very affordable to pay over $365.00 in a completely unnecessary procedure! Unbelievable!!!!! I will say it again; do your research before bringing your fur baby here!!!!!

Terrible customer service at the front desk/front desk incompetence. Our contact information still not correct after 11 months after updating with them 3 times. Our pets shot records, medical records and birthdates mixed up. We were billed AND charged for Heart Guard we never received from 6 months ago with 1 of our dogs and refused to remove from bill from an appointment this week with different dog (8 Aug 17). Now we receive a phone call and asked to find a new vet. Front desk is awful. So, if your information is not correct or you identify problems with the front desk YOU will be asked to leave. Unbelievable! They asked us to come pick up our dogs records and rather than refund our money they finally agree to give us the Heart Guard they made us pay for even when they agreed to only give us 6 months of Heart Guard and would give us the other 6 months when our other dogs came in for their annual checkup. My wife goes immediately to pick up medical records and the Heart Guard. She was treated very rudely. Mystery solved on mixed up dog records, they copied Kiahs records and put in Katchers folder, no wonder they keep mixing them up. THEN when the new vet requests Katchers records, Affordable Vet front desk refuses to send them and will only send information on vaccinations. Really? Actually makes sense since they lost Katchers medical records. STAY AWAY/BEWARE.

Dr. Valerie A. Yucius Was horrible! Was the worst vet I ever been too. I was very upset when my dog lost feeling in her back legs. Not only did she not do anything to help my poor little dog but she rushed me out without really explaining everything to me about dogs condition when I declined X-rays because I was going to be seeing a neurologist (she suggested) the following day. I asked if I could give my dog pain meds until her neurologist appointment because she was shaking in pain and she refused. Finally after arguing with her she gave me pain meds for my dog, that the neurologist said were useless. You would think if your a vet you would love animals but I felt like she didnt care about my dog. If you care about your pet dont go here!

GROSS, dont bring your a sick animal to Affordable Vet without having the IMMEDIATE funds to pay for their crummy service! THEY WILL REFUSE TREATMENT AND LET YOUR CAT/DOG or pet DIE rather than help you. Go to Aloha Pet and Bird Hospital for FULL compassionate service. If you dont have the money for a critical life of death procedure to keep your pet alive they will work out a payment plan with you. They recently saved our cats life when we had the inability to pay for the life/death surgery at the time, being disabled and on a fixed income without Alohas kind and compassionate services my cat would be dead.

So glad I found Dr. Fuller when several neighbors recommended his kind, compassionate care. I brought Daisy there today for follow up blood work. Ashley, Vet Tech, asked me pertinent questions to ensure the Vet would have a good understanding of my concerns. Dr. Fuller examined Daisy and had the blood work done so he could compare with the last visit. I am very pleased he explained the results, discussed her allergy options and we were on our way. A little treat on the way out made Daisy happy. Thank you, Dr. Fuller and staff!

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand they got my dogs mange cleared up. On the other they misdiagnosed my cats condition and she nearly died. She didnt out of luck and the condition presented itself again. After observing her actions I was able to diagnose my own solution which I had them implement and now my cat is healthy and has not had the condition occur again. Still had to pay hundreds of dollars to accept their failed care; that will keep you salty.
