I had two babies with his practice. Adult with hypertension throughout both pregnancies. This last pregnancy and it with me being induced at 37 weeks. Dr. does not allowed you to have a tubal done in the hospital. But he did not mention that another doctor could do it. The night I came in for my induction I signed papers to have a tubal done and the hospital and that came in the next morning and said no they will do it at the office. After baby was born Im suffering from severe headaches and lower back pain. I went out to the hospital to see why the headaches would not stop or go away. The next day I had an appointment with the office and it was raining really bad not to mention I had a 2 week old baby and two other kids if they wanted me to drive out of the house. I called to cancel my appointment and they wanted to reschedule it for 2 hours at which it was still raining I called a couple of days later to make my postpartum visit and was told that I was dropped from being impatient. Now for 1 they said I had a no-show 2 numerous appointments that was a lie I called and cancelled this appointment only. But the major thing is they never even gave me a postpartum check up or follow through with doing my tubal( which could have been done in the hospital) I would not recommend you to visit this practice at all I was treated poorly and unfair

I am currently 26 weeks pregnant with my third daughter and will be having a third cesarean. I am new to the area, new to Florida actually, and began care at this practice based on some good reviews the practice received. I am very happy with my decision, I have received excellent prenatal care with Dr. Stephens and his staff. Every one is kind and attentive. Looking forward to my delivery with this great team!

My baby is 3 months old and all I want is a contraceptive for future family planning. Dr. Stephens is refusing to give me care because I delivered my baby through a birthing home and not through his practice. What if I was from out of state and just moved here and needed care? Would he still refuse me then? I would assume not.

I highly doubt the review below/above. Dr.Stephens is amazing and took such great care of my wife during her pregnancy. Him and his entire staff are so nice and welcoming. We will be returning to them with our next baby for sure. Thank you again University OBGYN!
