UPDATED REVIEW Although Dr. Schar is a very caring practitioner, his billing practices are not. I have been going to Upper Cervical/Atlas Orthogonal chiropractors since 2007 and have never run into such twisted billing. I am also quite the expert in everything insurance and have been involved for many years so when I say twisted, It is pretty bad. Please come with deep pockets as most of your costs will not be covered by insurance. NO MORE NECK CRACKING!!!! If only more people knew how chiropractic care helps to keep your entire body healthy. I have been using chiropractic care for the past 25 years and upper cervical care for about 15 years and after experiencing upper cervical (known as atlas orthogonal), I would not use ANY other kind. GONE are the days of neck cracking. Just waiting for my prior traditional chiropractors to crack my neck made me so tense, they would actually hurt me more as I could not relax knowing what was about to happen. With upper cervical care, you never know that it happened but get the full benefit of being in alignment and your body can then heal itself, which in turn can help heal other problems that you thought were unrelated. Dr. Schar is gentle, caring and spends the time to listen to your issues, a rare commodity in todays world. Thanks Dr. Schar!

We have been getting ATLAS care for 7 or 8 years now, the last 2 years with Dr. Schar. There is NOTHING like this treatment out there. We had been to MANY traditional chiropractors only to remain in pain most of our lives. The ATLAS adjustment is completely painless and allows the rest of your body to adjust and heal and only costs $65!! We hope Dr. Schar remains in practice for many years to come (he is only 30 minutes from us) and if you have ever had back pain, neck pain, an accident, injury, trauma, migraines, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, ongoing sinus issues, vertigo, etc., etc. then you MUST go to Upper Cervical Center of Brandon! Be VERY careful as some other doctors out there try this treatment and DO NOT know how to do it correctly. Stay with Dr. Schar! He has been trained by the BEST, the Pierce Clinic in St Pete, whose doctors teach all over the country and have perfected this level of treatment. We started at their clinic in 2005 and they have saved our lives. Thanks to both clinics for having Godly, caring doctors who will CHANGE your health and your life! Why stay in pain, call them now!

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and in addition to all of the other joint problems that this entails I also have some subluxation of my cervical spine (specifically C1 and C2) The resulting migraines and numbness in my fingers and toes led me to discover uppercervical care. I was under treatment in my city (Lakeland) for 2 years with terrific success (no more than 2 migraines during that time, when I had been having more days with migraines than not) then horror of horrors my Dr. moved. I went from April to October trying to find someone to take my dr.s place with no success until Dr. Schar opened his practice in Brandon. Ive been under his care since October of 2011 with tremendous success (no migraines!!) In addition Dr. Schar is very attentive and sees each patient as a person (which is rare these days) Dr. Schars goal is not to see how often he can keep you coming back, but, instead to see you get well so that you need to come back less and less. Im thrilled with the care that upper cervical and Dr. Schar specifically gives me!
