Its been a mess! I have a sweet Cane Corso Mastiff named Zeeka. She is currently almost 8 months old. I got her when she was 3 months old. She had already had an eye surgery for an inverted eye lid. Cherry eye popped up in that eye before she even left the vets from surgery. I got her anyway and took her back to the same vet to remove the very large cherry eye. She had 2 more surgries after that. When it came back again, I started doing research. A LOT OF RESEARCH! I certainly cant afford to keep paying for all these surgries & and its heartbreaking to watch Zeeka hurt. I found companion eye clinic, read reviews, called with questions about techniques and options. And finally got her in. Dr. Sillerud was very mater of fact and direct. While seeing the inside of my dogs eye makes me squeamish, it was important to feel confident that it would be done correctly. I got carecredit and paid. 3 weeks in... NO! Yes, the first surgery failed. But so had the 3 before that, so that seemed more normal to me. The second surgery was on Dec 22nd and a different method was used. Its only a couple weeks past, but she is looking great, and the fact that they did the 2nd surgery without charging me: Awesome! Not only do I get to go back if any further troubles arrise with the cherry eye free of charge, I wish I had known earlier! I will follow up with updates if needed. Or see how Zeeka is doing on Facebook!

We would highly recommend Dr Sillerud and her staff if you are looking for eye care for your fur baby. Our little 18 month old Ema had her eye surgery here. The staff and hospital spoiled her rotten while she was a patient and did a wonderful job for her diagnosis. She loves going there and never shakes she wags her tail when she sees Chris and the Dr, thru all of her visits for her pre operation and post check ups. The staff is kind considerate, very competent and they even accommodated us and squeezed us in for an appt at the last minute as we had traveled to the cities for her eye appt with another eye vet office but we werent convinced about that place that our vet had referred us to. So we looked and found Companion Animal Eye Center, LTD on the internet and called - Chris the Office Manager answered the phone. She said bring her on in and we will squeeze her in today once she knew we had driven over 150 miles. Thank you so much Companion Animal Eye Center, LTD, Ema is enjoying her new look on life.

My rat terrier, Diesel, had a pretty bad case of KCS that led to corneal ulcers on both of her eyes. Her regular veterinarian referred us to Companion Animal Eye Center. Dr. Sillerud and her staff did an outstanding job calming me down and assuring me that Diesel could be treated. Her surgery was scheduled and performed and I was surprised when the cost came out on the low end of the estimate! In the four years that Diesel was a patient, I never once felt like I was being overcharged and I wasn’t made to bring her in for an excessive amount of appointments just to get my money. When I would call to order a refill of Diesel’s medications, they knew who I was just by my voice and if the doctor saw me picking up medications, she always stopped to ask me how Diesel was doing. Diesel may have crossed over the rainbow bridge, but Companion Animal Eye Care Center are responsible for saving her vision and helping live out her senior years in comfort.

Very rude,. 10 minutes late because I was went to 4053 Highway 7 to Veterinary Ophthalmology instead of this place. I was 30 minutes early for the place I though it was then was told you have an appointment at the Olson Memorial place, not sure if they are the same clinic or what, or how they knew. Drive as fast as I could to the Olson Memorial place and was asked to fill out paper work. When I was done was told I was late, they acted like they didnt want to do because the dog eyes are bothered him and hard to handle. They were told up front he needed to be sedated from my normal vet. After filling out paper work, arguing for some time, loading the dog into van I looked and it was 3:15pm and I had a 2:55pm appointment. Will never go back to this place. Go here if you want to be treated like crap, have an angry lady snap at you. I know many dog owners and will make sure no one goes here again.

Over the last twenty-three years, Ive had two Persian cats benefit from the outstanding care of Dr. Sillerud and her staff at Companion Animal Eye Center. The first cat had retinal lesions from FIP. Dr. Sillerud was able to treat the initial condition and then manage the symptoms very affordably using prednisone for the next 18 years. Thanks to the excellent treatment, Marty the Cat has a wonderful, long life. My current cat, Henry, has recurrent corneal ulcers. Dr. Sillerud is always up to date on the most current research and treatments. Over the last couple of years, she and her staff have demonstrated superb knowledge, skills, and dedication to the wellbeing of Henry. I am so grateful to have such excellent care.

I wish Google would let me post a photo to show the difference in my pups eyes after visiting Dr. Sillerud and undergoing surgery. Both of his eyes were two small, one eye had an ulcer, and one eyelid was growing folded (even more so since his eye is smaller so theres more space for the folded part to go) from birth defects and one week post-surgery and we have a completely different dog. He can finally see out of both eyes, his ulcer is gone, and hes much more playful and energetic. Dr. Sillerud said this case was the worst shes ever seen and the results have been amazing, I can only imagine the work on a less severe case. Great doctor, great staff, very happy customer.

We brought in our dog to see the opthalmologist, Dr. Sillerud. We knew going into the surgery that our little fur-baby was going to have an uncommon surgery, (he has tiny, tiny eyeballs) & results. Dr. Sillerud was hopeful, but realistic about what we should expect for an outcome. The staff is very friendly, & knowledgeable. I feel as though they really care for our fur-baby & would do everything possible to make sure he heals quickly. I feel very comfortable with the staff at Companion Eye Center, & would highly recommend them for your pets opthalmologist.

Our Goldendoodle was referred to this clinic for treatment of detached retinas. His platelet count was also very low. Thanks to Dr. Sillerud, his eyes are on the mend. We are very impressed with Dr. Sillerud and her entire staff: they all clearly know how to make their animal patients (and us humans!) comfortable, they have valuable and proven experience, and work effectively with our regular vet to ensure the best course of treatment.

After interviewing two other vet eye clinics, it was an easy decision to go with Dr. Sillerud at Companion. Her attention to detail, informative explanation of procedures were an easy sell for me. In addition, her very professional staff always make sure they inform me of what they are doing with our dog and treat him as though he were one of their own. I will continue to recommend this excellent staff and clinic to others.
