A couple of years ago, my cat was in need of a routine check up. So I did what most people do and I googled vet clinics in Bozeman. I found one that had very high reviews and scheduled an appointment. The vet that did the check up was wonderful. I couldnt say enough nice things about him. I decided that this vet clinic would be my cats go to place. The next time I needed to take him in, the vet I loved, and had requested when scheduling the appointment, was unable to make it. Not a big deal, I wouldnt mind having another vet. She recommended that my cat have a vaccine he was due for so I said "sure"! She administered it in the back of his neck and he had a reaction to the vaccine. I was told that he would now have a higher chance of developing cancer at this spot. Doing some research I found that vets no longer administer vaccines in this spot due to this reason. So why was this vet so uninformed? A few months later a lump grew in this spot and I brought my cat back in. I asked for the first vet I had when scheduling. After arriving I am told the original vet is on an emergency call. Another vet looked at my cats lump. I am told that all they can do is remove it and it would be a very invasive surgery removing a large portion of skin and muscle. The vet didnt seem very concerned and recommended I just keep an eye on it and let her know if it gets bigger. While leaving I see the original vet i scheduled with with another patient. I was pissed! So why am I telling you this long story? Well, a year later the lump grew. I wasnt going to take my cat back to a place that didnt care about their clients. Instead I googled "Bozeman vets" again, and I found Gallatin Veterinary Hospital. I read through the reviews and I made an appointment. From the moment I got there my cat and I were treated with the greatest of care. The vet took a small portion of the lump while I was there to have a look at it. She did not think it was cancerous, but recommended removing it since it was growing. While there she also looked over my cat and noticed he needed some teeth removed. I had both done the following week. It was a major surgery to have both done at once and through the process everything was explained to me in complete detail. The lump ended up not being cancerous which now puts my mind at ease. This clinic took great care of my cat, and for that I am very grateful. I will only be bringing him here in the future!

The Gallatin Veterinary Hospital has been our pet health care provider for twelve years. We feel fortunate our pets have had the care of excellently trained doctors and staff. For example, our Standard Dachshund was born with a sensitive digestive track which required a special diet and monitoring. After a happy, vigorous and playful life, at thirteen years of age he developed a tumor and was headed downhill at an alarming rate. GVH Dr. Kari Swenson spent extra time researching nutrition and arrived with a solution to change his diet and with added medication, provided us with an additional year of quality time with our little guy. When it was finally time to say goodbye to our beloved dog, our family was treated with sensitivity and care. Our decisions were made in consultation with our pets doctor and our wishes for his care were respected. We have the peace of mind that comes with knowing he had the best of professional treatment in a caring and courteous environment. We now have a standard dachshund pup, whose care we are confident to entrust to Dr. Swenson and her associates at Gallatin Veterinary Hospital.

We had a handful of good experiences here, but then we took in my sweet and caring therapy cat (for C-PTSD and Panic Disorder from child abuse) for a teeth cleaning/ear cleaning and they ended up ripping our cats ear drum, causing her to vomit, be unable to walk straight, and causing her problems with jumping and irritability. They dismissed our complaints and said that there was "probably a small tear before that got larger when they cleaned it" and never took responsibility for damaging my therapy pet, or even apologized. Now my therapy cat that used to come cuddle me when I was in the throes of a panic attack bites us, knocks things over on purpose to break them, and has basically lost most of her training (except for sitting still for a treat during a claw trimming). I am very upset that not only was damage to my therapy pet dismissed, but we also had to pay for it. Will not be coming back.

A year ago my 2 lb puppy shih-tzu, Ebby had surgery with Dr. Albrecht where he had to attach a band around a blood vessel to allow her liver to function properly, Ebby is now a healthy and happy 2 year old. I now have another shih-tzu puppy Snuffy for the last 2 months we have seen many vets trying to figure out what Snuffys problem was, I have received many different diagnosis, finally after seeing Dr. Albrecht we now know he has some colon issues. Dr. Albrecht answered all of my questions from surgery and its complications to seeing if Snuffy will out grow the problem. During the appointment they also took Ebby in for an free check up to see how she was doing, which showes how much they care as it has been a year since her surgery and we were not there for her. I recomend Gallatin Vet Hospital for all your animals needs they are all awesome!!

We are the proud owners of 2 new Lab puppies (and one old, grumpy Labrador). Gallatin Vet Hospital is by far the cleanest, most welcoming facilities I have visited in my experience as a pet owner. The professionalism, and true caring experience is second to none. I have had dogs that hated the vet. When we pull into the parking lot the dogs are excited to go see who is there, and really love all of the staff. The staff in turn really cares about the furry family members that we trust them with. Owning registered Hunting dogs can be an expensive experience, Gallatin Vet Hospital offers Wellness rewards which is a great program, if you have multiple pets check it out!

After a really bad experience at another vet in Bozeman with a dog they lost during a dental procedure, we took our new puppy to Gallatin Veterinary Hospital. I quizzed them thoroughly on how they handle dental work and was satisfied with the answers. Dr. Hann has been great as she explains things very well. The staff that weve dealt with thus far seem very professional and seem to truly care about animals. Weve been very satisfied with our visits . This clinic was also recommended by a medical doctor that I know as he takes his own dogs to Gallatin Valley. Im happy to recommend them to anyone looking for quality care for their animals.

I was referred by my primary vet to Gallatin because they can do laparoscopic surgery for spay and gastroplexy. The five hour drive each way turned out to be well worth the effort. Dr. Albrecht and staff were outstanding in their treatment and care for both me and my Great Dane Miro. What I thought was special treatment because I was not a local resident turned out to be standard practice at this facility: Extremely thorough preparation, execution and follow-up were obvious, plus extra care to keep me informed and comfortable during my wait. This was overall a very satisfying experience.
