I am not happy with this place and I do not recommend it. The lady was very rude because I did not have evidence of my dogs current vaccinations from out of state on paper with me. I do, however, have them on email but she continued to attack me and did not wish to see them. She insisted he gets the same shots he already had just a few months prior. Ive done research since this visit and it is not healthy to overlap routine vaccinations. It can actually harm your animal and do the opposite effect by weakening the immune system, making your animal more susceptible to disease. My dog has never had any problems all 2 years of his life apart from fleas that lasted a week. However its been a couple weeks since the appointment and now he is losing hair around his eye. I believe he probably got mites from the overdone, combined vaccines. I think the lack of care and time to check his records caused harm to his natural immune response. Some dogs have mites from their mother at birth but are naturally immune. After researching this Ive learned that exposure to vaccines can flip the response and make them vulnerable to the mites. Exposure of the bacteria in the vaccine usually happens 2-4 weeks before any symptoms occur. And that is the length of time since our appointment. This woman brought me to tears because of the bashing about the paperwork. She continued to inform me over and over about the same things - getting THIS vaccine because it can cause THIS and so on... It was hurtful because she did not show any compassion towards my obvious upset. She was not aggressive out of concern for my dog because it is apparent I take the highest care of my animal. I insisted he has been treated but she did not WANT to believe me. At the end of it all she did say sorry and was impressed with the obviously outstanding health and behavior of my dog. But it made me feel she used this tactic to make me vaccinate my dog all over again even though I dont think he needed it. She also had me pay for a heart worm test because she did not believe me that he had already had been tested negative. I told her to call my previous vet but she would not. We RE-took the test and like I said, negative - no heart worm. After the research Ive done, I regret not listening to my gut. Im learning that the natural, holistic approach to treating my dog is better for him and for me, UNLESS it is ACTUALLY necessary. Routine appointments are very important too. Doing more is actually harmful and many medicinal practices are just in it for the money - not true health. Please do your research first! Im not saying vaccines are bad, but timeliness is key.
