I have always gone to an eye doctor at least once a year. Having had lasik surgery, it is very important to continually see an eye doctor to monitor my vision to make sure I do not have any regression. My visit at Owen Eye Care was the most thorough appointment I have ever had. Since my appointment was scheduled for nearly hour, I had Dr. Owens attention the entire time. In previous offices I have been to, Ive always had the multi-tasking doctor who never seems focused on my care. At Owen Eye Care, I was their number one priority at the time. Having had lasik surgery, I have no need for contacts or glasses. This means that my insurance company gets to pocket my benefit each year. I pay for the coverage, but except the exam I see no benefit. Owen Eye Care explained what other products my insurance would cover at no cost to me. I ended up with a great pair of sunglasses that are absolutely amazing. I am not saying they can do the same for someone else, but they are very aware of what various insurances will cover and they will maximize your coverage with no cost to you.

The staff was knowledgeable and relaxed; they answered all my questions, allowed me to browse at my leisure, and offered opinions, when asked, that helped me to choose the frames that suited me best. I walked out of Owen Eye Care with an awesome experience and the clearest prescription I’ve had in years. Now that I’ve been, I won’t do eye care anywhere else.

First time patient with Dr Owen. Dr Owen was on time with my appointment, courteous, and efficient. He fitted me for both contact lens as well as eye glasses. The pair of glasses I was interested in was on back order, so they mailed them to me fed-ex once they arrived. Excellent service and outstanding clinic environment. I now live in Happy Valley, east of Portland, but will gladly drive to Newberg for my regular eye care and follow ups with Dr Owen...well worth it!

Beautiful decor, large selection of frames and excellent customer service- I dont think anyone will be disappointed with this place. Dr.Owen is professional and puts you at ease throughout the whole process. Lastly, the technology that is used in the office is incredible. You wont get air blown into your eyes (3 thumbs up) and your sure to receive the exact prescription you need. Out with the old and In with the new -Bye bye lenscrafter, hello Dr.Owen Eye Care!
