In 2016 Chester County was ranked 4th among all the American counties in a survey rating the degree of happiness of its citizens. For me one of the most important factors is the way my doctor practices a new and more personal type of medicine: There is a convivial atmosphere in his office (April the nurse and office manager is great). Dr Haug enjoys seeing you, takes the time he needs. Many of the tests are done in the office, you do not have to wait in long lines at the lab. And he does not practice defensive medicine, he truly cares about you. All of that is fine but is he outstanding when your life is on the line? My son witnessed Dr Haug great life saving skills first hand: Last year he was running in a foot race in Kennett. A runner collapsed lifeless on the ground. Dr.Haug, who had volunteered to be the doctor for the race, brought back the man to life! That is the type of physician that I would like to have: A great sense of humanity and superior medical skills.

I have been a patient of Dr. Haugs for over 5 years, and followed him to his Core Family Practice. I cant tell everyone enough about how much of a great Dr. he is. He always took more time than any of my previous Drs to understand any physical concerns that I may have, and now that he has opened Core Family Practice the time and the accessibility that he and April devotes to me and his other patients is just amazing. Being able to have him take my goals and address aliments outside of normal Drs hours is just one of the services he provides. Being able to do some of the lab work in his office, is a huge time and $ saver as well. I could not be happier, and look forward to continuing to be a patient of Dr. Haug for many years to come.

This is a completely different health care experience. No long waits for an appointment, no crowded waiting rooms, direct access through email and texting to your actual doctor -- no jumping through hoops with the reception staff. You definitely feel listened to and in my case, Dr. Haug diagnosed me and treated me appropriately when my former health care provider did not seem to be taking my symptoms seriously. One thing to be aware of, though, is as a "direct primary care" physician, Dr. Haug does not accept health insurance. The monthly fee for an individual to join the practice is reasonable though, on par with some gym memberships, and in my opinion well worth it!

My entire family have been patients of Dr. Haug since he moved to PA (myself, husband, and three kids- two from infant stage). We followed him to his new practice model and have been very pleased with the service and appreciate the extra time and effort that Dr. Haug is able to put into our healthcare with the direct primary care model. April has been great since we met her in December. We highly recommend this practice.
