Tried to schedule an appointment today. Listed on BCBS of Texas as in my network and as accepting new patients. I called at 8:10 am, Tuesday, October 4th 2016. When I asked the Lady who answered the call if Dr. Holtz was accepting new patients , I was told "depends on what insurance you have." When I told her, I was told " well, then we dont have anything until December for you." Now, I dont work in the healthcare business, I dont know if you have a certain number limit of patients for any insurance, or whatever else. The Lady did not bother to tell me WHY I could not get an appointment until December, and I sure wish I could describe the tone of voice.... But, I can tell you what that sounded like to me . It sounded like my insurance was not paying your office enough, therefore, I was turned away ( if correct or not, I will never know). Now, even if I could wait until December, I would NOT try to make another appointment. I am sure Dr. Holtz is a wonderful and competent Doctor, but the front office staff represents the office, these are the people you deal with making appointments or calling in RX. This was the worst experience with a Doctors office ever, and I did not even set one foot inside. I did inform BCBS of it. They, and their insured should know, that you are NOT accepting patients with my insurance ....until December.

I carry BCBS card, but that didnt cause any issue for me. The doctor is very nice and calm, listens and talks with patience. Getting appointments is not an issue and wait time is minimal when you are in her office. So far I had good experience with her staff other than the fact that getting referral takes too long and sometime it doesnt happen, not blaming doctor for that though. I am rating 5 for doctor.

When I first went to see her I was thinking of looking for a new doctor but after my second visit we got to know each other better. I enjoy my visit and have s lot to talk about. Her staffs are friendly and helpful!

She takes very good care of my family!! Her staff is excellent! We drive an hour to see her and I would recommend her to anyone!!
