Very disappointed in the Helotes CVS Minute Clinic. My 11 year old son let me know when I got home late from work, at 6:30 pm, yesterday that he had an earache. Hed been swimming for the first time this season so I was sure it was swimmers ear. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to utilize the minute clinic 2 miles from our home, get a quick prescription and get home in time for dinner and bed. I called to make sure theyd be able to see him and I was told that since they close at 7:30 we would have plenty of time. I hurried to the CVS and just as I walked in at 6:45 there was a woman signing in. I asked the medical professional if that was where I also needed to sign in and she quickly said that she would not see 2 patients... She said she did not have time. I explained that it would only take a moment and we had called in advance and got the ok to come in. She very cold and rudely said she refused to see my son with 1 patient in front of us and by then 40 minutes left until close. Instead of a quick check of his ears, I drove to the Urgent Care in San Antonio and an hour later had a very kind dr take less than a minute to see that my sons inner ear was red and in early stages of infection from swimmers ear. Not until 8:15 pm did I return to my local CVS pharmacy to pick up ear drops and return home, pregnant, exhausted, and extremely disappointed in the dismissive manner of the employee at minute clinic. I will not recommend to friends and instead will advise that anyone go the extra miles to be truly taken care of by the nearest urgent care. It was worth the extra money and time to have a caring medical professional see my son before closing. B.Morgan

In and out, with Rx in hand, in 20 minutes! That is unbelievable to me! My husband had the flu. We signed in online, from home. When we arrived, the medical professional called us in as we were taking a seat. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend this place to everyone. The best part, they bill for a doctor visit not ER visit...we paid led than half what we pay at medclinic. I will not wait in a medclinic ever again (not if I can help it).

Ive gone two separate and both times the doctor took forever to do very simple things my wait time was over an hour when I was only estimated to be 15 minutes.
