Highest raves for the respect the clinic staffing provides to my kitty with a wild streak. I happened upon Companion Animal Wellness several years ago when searching for a 2nd opinion regarding an overgrown tumor. I did a web search for local vet clinics and showed up for my first visit under desperate conditions. Their assessment put me immediately at ease and my cat had a speedy recovery. The total cost of biopsy, surgery and aftercare was less expensive than my previous vet had quoted me. The doctors and technicians provided me with a full understanding of the tumor, and the treatment. I received follow-up home calls to check in and answer any questions. Autumn at the front desk is an extremely knowledgeable front line greeter, appointment taker and communicator. Many of the other reviews are dog owners. In my observations, the staff are just as caring and knowledgeable about cats. On my most recent visit, Rob, was my vet technician/nurse. I would describe him as a "cat whisperer" and learned animal behavior techniques from him to assist my wild kitty feel she is in control. My cat leads a retirement traveling lifestyle and Autumn has assisted me by emailing kittys health records to assist community clinics complete travel Health Certificates. I cant over recommend the services provided. Their name is true to what they offer "Companion Animal Wellness."

Since moving to Washington 3 years ago we have been searching for the right vet. It is very important to us to have a vet who is obviously in tune to dogs as well as someone who our dogs easily connect with. The first time Dr. Stevens came into the room she immediately got down on the floor with Shep and took her time letting him get comfortable with her. We came to her because we knew something was wrong with our oldest pup but other vets had been telling us it was nothing. Dr. Stevens took the time to listen to our concerns and immediately recognized the problem as laryngeal paralysis. She connected us with a specialist and after surgery, Shep is now back to his old playful, happy self. Although we live an hour away we will continue to bring our pups to Companion Animal Wellness Center. The employees are wonderful and we found a doctor who really listens to animals as well as the people they own.

when driving south from poulsbo on the winding and hilly roads, gus...my 9 year scottie dog... starts to pay attention... arriving at companion animal wellness center peaks his interest further.. he cant wait to get out of the car and enjoy the smells of the surrounding bushes before he tugs to get to the front door.... always to be met by the kind, efficient and smiling.. autumn. dr lisa newnham and dr april tolle are the very best animal care givers...gus would know as he has had a myriad of problems! these lovely and knowledgeable women are surrounded by a fabulous staff.. youll get to know each one of them! the team has always gone the extra mile to help gus have a great life.... he has better care than most two legged creatures... with every visit they go the extra mile.. calls to specialized vets.. follow up calls.. no stone left unturned!

Our dog Juno can smell a vet clinic a mile away and has no interest in leaving the car. At Companion Animal Wellness, she hopped out of the car, tail wagging. Its a beautiful, comfortable facility designed to put animals (and owners) at ease. Dr. Lisa Newnham delivers top-notch care. What sets this place apart from anywhere else Ive ever been is that Dr. Newnham and her staff are equally as good at talking to and helping owners as well as their animals. They recently helped us through a difficult medical situation with compassion, care and kindness. If youre looking for the best care for your animals (and for yourself!), look no further. Definitely worth the trip from Seattle.

I cannot begin to express my appreciation for the outstanding care that our 4 year old yellow lab received from Dr. Lisa Newnham and her staff. Our dog was stricken on the weekend by an uncommon tick borne illness that the local emergency clinic was unable to diagnose. First thing Monday morning, we brought her to Companion Animal Wellness Center. At this point, she was unable to keep down food and was so weak that she could not even walk. Dr. Newnham immediately suspected the pathogen and started her on the appropriate antibiotic. Without the experience, insight, and loving care of Dr. Newnham and her wonderful staff, our beloved companion may not be with us.

I recently moved to Poulsbo bringing my menagerie with me. Dr. Lisa Newham was recommended to me and when my dog needed care I called. Every aspect of our visit was met with kindness and exceptional professional care. My questions and concerns were taken seriously and answered with knowledge and experience. One of the things that impressed me the most was I never felt our time was rushed, we were not just another appointment to be pushed in and out the door, care and time were taken to address my worries and what my little fur face needed to get well and to be comfortable.

Hands down the best vet in Poulsbo! I moved here from Seattle in early 2016 and checked out a few vets before settling on these guys. I have worked in the veterinary community for 15 years and these guys are the real thing! Youre in excellent hands. No judgement was given when we had financial concerns- just the next indicated treatment recommendations. And Dr. Newnham saved my billy-goat-of-a-dogs LIFE. So kind. So compassionate. The front staff is informed and NOT RUDE which is really hard to find at vet clinics sometimes! I adore them and couldnt recommend them more.

After trying to get an upper hand on my boxers ear infections for two years at a franchise vet clinic, I brought Romy to CAW. Within a couple of weeks, her ears were looking so much better. After 3 weeks, her ears were almost clear. Havent see her so happy since we became her new family. Thank you Companion Animal Wellness Center for being so caring. The staff here is so nice and the doctor is great. I have had vets in the past that seem to just shrug off small things and just want you to get in and out, but here they really want to know all the details and take even small matters seriously. My dog recently had minor surgery and they were even kind enough to call and check up to make sure he was was recovering well. Everyone here is very patient with all our animals and very laid back too.
