I was diagnosed in the fall with Spondylolisthesis and over the past few months have had several spurts of severe pain where I was hardly able to walk or stand. I began PT in August and worked with Dr. Craig Becknell twice a week. Every time I was in discomfort the staff were extremely accommodating with appointments and adjusting treatment plans accordingly. If I had not had such a positive and successful experience with physical therapy I would have had to begin cortisone injections. Fortunately, with the care and thoroughly developed and thoughtful exercises, stretches, and strengthening I have gone weeks without any pain or discomfort and am back to running 6 miles at a time with no pain! The staff at this specific location is incredibly friendly, welcoming, understanding, and its transparent how much they genuinely care about your health and getting you back on your feet. These DPTs know their stuff and go above and beyond for their patients!

The team at Athletico has been incredible. Ill preface my review by saying I have a fairly good understanding of physical therapy: Ive torn my ACL four times since 2003. For the first three, I did PT in Central Illinois. For my latest surgery (the 4th), Ive been doing my PT at Athletico on Downer. Abby is an incredible physical therapist. She definitely is an expert at what she does. Over the past couple months Ive been impressed with her knowledge about my condition. She is also one of the most encouraging people Ive met. The rest of the team is wonderful as well. Specifically, Luis, the owner, knows so much about the human body and is really interested in helping the community: over the past couple months hes hosted events for runners, sports teams, and from what I hear, he even regularly teaches at a nearby university. Heather, Tom, and the interns are also fantastic. I cant recommend Athletico enough! --A very happy patient

Athletico physical therapy on Downer Ave. is a professional well run organization. The front desk personnel is always pleasant, knowledgeable and able to meet my scheduling needs. The physical therapist I worked with thoroughly evaluated my condition and planned a course of effective therapy. He listened to me describe my progress or problems and made several as needed "course corrections" as I improved. Therapy and the recommended home exercises relieved most of my pain and restored all of my functionality. I highly recommend this facility.

Too expensive, not convinced theyre experts. They charged me $1500 for 5 sessions over three weeks and did their best to get me in there more. Unfortunately, I had a herniated disc, which they failed to diagnose, and all of that pain, effort, and money was completely wasted. In fact, I got worse over the course of those sessions - they thought it was just sciatic pain and had me doing exercises that probably hurt my condition. $300/hour is a pretty unbelievable fee!

I think there should be a manager there more often. TV and/or music is blaring while people are supposed to be getting therapy. Therapists walk out of room to socialize with others leaving me (patient) in room. Do not think this place is run professionally.

They really do a great job. Ive worked with Sam and Craig and both are fantastic. Results take time and effort but if you follow the trainers advice, things will improve!
