Dr. Clay is the most amazing, kind, caring, compassionate dentist you will ever meet. I went through a pretty severe trauma in my life recently. It was so severe I wasnt able to take care of myself during that time which resulted in three cavities. Today, when I went to Dr. Clays office to get the cavities filled, I had an unexpected break down. Big time. I cried for four hours. No joke. Not because of the actual dental procedure, just some emotional stuff that came up about the trauma. I have never experienced so much kindness from complete strangers. Dr. Clay, Cora, and the other sweet girl that was there --(whos name I cant remember but she was incredibly awesome too) were so compassionate, caring, and patient with me. They spent a great deal of time talking to me about topics that went beyond my teeth but also included what was going on emotionally. Without a shadow of a doubt I can tell you that what they have going on there is a RARE thing to encounter at the dentists office . I have yet to walk into a place of business where so many people genuinely care about your well being on the same level that they do. Because of the unexpected break down I had, I made them run over the time I was scheduled for. Dr. Clay had a very important appointment she had to go to. Can you believe she cared so much about my teeth and well being that she made a special trip just for me and drove back to the dental office at 7 PM when no one else was there and finished everything?! I was completely touched and blown away. Thats only the beginning. During the procedure she constantly asked how I was doing, how I was feeling, if I needed restroom breaks--ALL OF IT. She was also such a blessing to be around..she really made me feel at home and comfortable while drilling holes in my mouth (lol) by talking to me just like she would her best friend. I loved hearing her entertaining stories. :) their office is clean and beautiful--prob due to the largely female staff. (Completely stereo typing there--sorry guys haha) I literally felt like she gave me the same treatment that she would give her own family. I got some cosmetic things done as well and she spent HOURS tweaking it and asking me how I felt about it. my old dentist DID NOT do that at all. Not only that but she stayed at the office so late with me trying to get the job done right. Needless to say, I cant stop smiling. She did an amazing job and I feel so happy about my smile now. Also---The price was completely affordable and much less expensive than other places which I was surprised by. I was actually able to afford my treatment. I am completely grateful. If youre looking for a good dentist that wants to get the job right and actually cares about your well being beyond a paycheck please go see Dr. Clay and her beautiful staff. You wont be dissappointed I promise.

I didnt have any real work done at Village Crest Family Dental, but I had a fairly lengthy visit with them in early 2013. From the moment I walked in I really didnt like it much. I had a sort of funny feeling. It looked more like a business than a family friendly and personalized environment. I dont like that when it comes to anything related to medical or dental health. After exams and xrays, I was able to speak with them. I do need work done. I will say they were pretty helpful overall. The assistant was very kind and helpful, but the actual dentist was not informative whatsoever -- very vague. The dentist didnt seem to understand my concerns, and she sort of brushed them off without ever giving me a real solid answer. I ask A LOT of questions before any work is done. If I have an issue (whether medical, dental or vision) I ask a lot of questions because I want to be informed. I want to know exactly what is going on. I dont want the "run around" and I dont want vague answers that are not informative. The dentist also looked at some of my past dental work, and suggested we "correct" it by removing it completely and repeating it with a different method. That wasnt cool at all. Im happy with the work I had done in the past -- very satisfied. My old dentist just didnt take the insurance I had when I went to Village Crest. Im not saying they were just "out to get me", but I do feel like they tried to pressure me into more work than necessary in order to make a few extra bucks. I dont like anything more than what I really NEED done, because I dont deal well with dental work, so I like to keep it clean and simple, just whatever it takes to fix an issue.

I had been going to them for about a year, getting periodic cleanings to get my gums back in shape. They suggested that I have an old filling I had since I was a child removed since it was cracking. They recommended I replace it with a crown versus another filling since the tooth was cracked. I always ask the cost when i am with them since finances are difficult. I do have insurance, but it does not pay the entire bill. They wrote up the estimate for me and we were able to figure that I would pay a portion that I felt I could pay. The insurance carrier would take care of the rest (so the dentist office claimed). After the procedure, I get a bill from the dental office. The insurance company was only wanting to pay for a filling, claiming that a filling would have sufficed. After about 4 months of back and forth with the insurance comapny and dental office, I was stuck with about $350 in addition to what we had agreed would be my payment. I felt this to be very unfair. The dental office didnt care and just wanted its money. I am not saying they are out to stick it to every patient out there. I just know I got the bad end of things. The dental office was only concerned about their money, the insurance company was only concerned about not having to pay out money. And no one was looking out for my interests. If you decide to use this dental office out of the many other dentists in the area, just be cautious. It is a shame they chose $325 over a client. With the added work they wanted from me, they lost out of much more than that.

I have been going to this dentist for 4 years and have only, just now, realized how much Ive been ripped off. They are extremely expensive for starters. I have terrible teeth but I did not realize the full extent of work thats needs to be done to save my teeth until switching dentist. All these ppl were worried about was getting the most money out of me the quickest. My last visit I was supposed to have an exam, Xrays and full cleaning and I was back in my car in 20 minutes as the hygienists barley touched my teeth but then charged me/my insurance for a full cleaning. Not to mention the "manager" that I delt with was less than pleasant and tried to make me come back the next day since I was 10 minutes late, which they knew I would be an hour in advanced as I called them from mt juliet, where I was dropping my new born daughter off at a sitters. (She said it was no problem ). I have referred many ppl here in the past and then am told they hate them and were displeased. Well that will never happen again! I was also very disappointed that when I called to get my records transfered and told them I was switching practices they did not appear to care at all and never once asked why I was leaving. Overall they put up a good front but do not fall for it. You will just wind up broke and in no better shape .
