I have had nothing but terrible experiences with the gynecology department since I started coming here a year ago. I use to see Cory but she cancelled a few of my appointments last minute and is never available (vacations, family emergencies, etc.) A few instances is understandable, but it got to be too unpredictable. Then I switched to Benezra. Need to schedule an appointment with any of these doctors? Be prepared to call repeatedly for the next half hour. The automated phone system is agonizing and on top of that none of the secretaries answer the phone! You have the option of leaving a voicemail, but they only return my calls half of the time. Im not sure if they are understaffed, have too many patients, dont care, or all of the above. I called 16 times today before someone was able to assist me. I got an answer one time before that and got put on hold and forgotten about after 10 minutes. I thought my issue was finally taken care of, but I when I got to my pharmacist she said that my prescription was never sent. All of that work and time and I have nothing to show for it. My pill regimen is going to be thrown off now. I will never be returning here and I can already feel myself living more minutes of my life now that I wont have to call here any more. I encourage anyone else that values their time to do the same.

Up until today I would have given HF 5 stars but not any more. Yesterday I went to see my primary Dr, Dr Jayde George but she was out sick so I saw NP Betsy for a head cold. Turns out I had an infection in my sinuses, throat and ears and running a low grade fever. Antibiotics and a cough suppressant were going to be sent to my local Walgreens and as of today at 7 PM they still had not received an order for my prescriptions. I called several times at the office and spoke to Lisa, which this is NOT her fault, but now my head cold has turned into bronchitis because every time I take a breathe I can hear rattling in my lungs. This could have been avoided if I had started on the antibiotics last night. I even asked Lisa if they could print out the prescriptions and my husband would pick them up. Lisa said she would have to make a request to whoever does the RX and I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. All I got for an explanation was that they, whoever they are, were in training or a meeting....a large medical place like this and you cant even have someone that can call in a prescription to a local pharmacy?! I love my Dr but from now on I will take the prescriptions with me and turn them in myself. I am very disappointed with Health First right now!

I went to the Urgent Care walk in clinic because I had a painful sore throat, I could barely talk and I had trouble swallowing food. I was seen by Sullivan and she said I was viral and sent me home with a prescription that numbs my mouth. Two days later, I was still feeling ill so I went back to the same Urgent Care and was seen by Shapiro. He said that the throat culture can only test for so many types of bacteria, since I was getting worse and could barely speak, he gave me an antibiotic which cleared up my sore throats which I already had for a week. I paid all of my bill including Shapiros visit and all of the tests, however I feel I should not pay a fee for a doctor who did not diagnose me correctly. We are all humans and make mistakes, but I should not be charged for Sullivans mistake. She should have had second opinion on my throat and I probably would have received an antibiotic the first time and not have had to come back a second time. I would not recommend this place because they will not admit theyre wrong and be prepared to pay for multiple visits because you may not be diagnosed correctly the first time!

I recently visited the Health First walk-in clinic at Gateway in Melbourne, FL. I suspected I had an infection and wanted to get started on antibiotics as soon as possible. I met with a PA and discussed symptoms, etc. She ran tests and gave me a prescription for antibiotics which she said I should not have filled until I heard from her concerning the results of my culture. My symptoms continued to get worse but I did not hear from the PA with any test results. I tried to call but my call was not returned. Finally, 6 days after my initial visit I spoke to someone who told me that the PA was off that day. She pulled my chart and said that I did indeed have an infection and should have started the antibiotics right away. I am extremely upset that I received no feedback and my condition was allowed to get worse before I was instructed to begin taking the medication. I consider that to be my last visit to a Health First facility for urgent care purposes. There are plenty of these facilities in the area and I am sure I can find a better one if needed.

Went for my first ob appointment and was told my ultrasound sound showed I was 6 weeks and not 8 and a half like I thought. Went in the room to talk with Dr. Kelly and she was absolutely horrible. She was convinced that I had or will miscarry with in the next few days but refused to do anything to confirm that. No blood work like recommend by the ultrasound tech, not hormone therapy to help if the baby is just under developed... Nothing. I lost a baby last year and was terrified of going thru it again and this Dr refused to do anything but say "well wait a week and well do another ultrasound to see if there is any change but Im sure youll be bleeding before then"... What a horrible way to treat an expecting mother or anyone for that matter. Arent Drs supposed to do everything they can to help people especially without a clear answer on the situation?

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Jose Santiago for over 10 years. We have always had excellent care, never waited more than 30 minutes, always had prompt assistance making appointments, and are overall pleased with our medical care. Dr. Santiago is a pleasant man, always spot on with diagnosis and very responsive to any call in requests. Blood work and other tests have been promptly processed and results easily obtained. Thanks to the Dr. Santiagos ordering cardiac testing I was referred to a Health First cardiologist Dr. Mark Mendola who scheduled procedure to implant a stent that probably saved my life. I would recommend Health First to anyone.

These people are idiots and they should be shut down. While there are some good doctors, in my case the doctor who looked at me had no clue what was going on, and told me that I had a viral infection when indeed it was a bacterial one . So after waiting three days for my tests I decided to go to another clinic. I was quickly diagnosed with a bacterial infection and given antibiotics which cleared up the problem instantly.
