Denise, in Dr Hitzels practice is the best and most conscientious Hygienist I have ever had. Not only does she make my pearly whites gleam but her examination is thorough and her professionalism above par. She takes notes of likes and dislikes and I dont even have to remind her visit to visit, She is already there before I can think it. She is kind, knowledgeable and talented. A perfect trifecta! It seems to be a trend in this dental office.Staff, dentist, hygienists--all winners. Sadly, in many of the other professional offices I use, one of those key components is missing. I think Dr Hitzel sets a standard and level of integrity and has a knack for picking staff that meet it. Its rare to find all this AND honesty in one office. My decade plus experience with this practice has shown me, you will never be lied to, overcharged, upsold, receive substandard care or not be able to get a second opinion. A nice perk that I avail myself to is the offices in house "insurance" plan- a valuble offer to those who dont have other dental insurance. (cool info- Dr Hitzel is also a commercial airline pilot, and Denise is actually a Dentist with a Brazilian license and cant use it in the USA)

I made an appointment w/ Dr. Hitzel for my three children. Specifically asked if they took our insurance (United, Solstice-700 DMO). The woman at the desk confirmed that Hitzel took our insurance and made an appointment for 6-weeks from the day I called. 6 weeks later, I took a half-day from work, picked the kids up early from school and headed to Dr. Hitzels, only to find out their appointments were canceled. Dr. Hitzel is on the list of participating dentists for our plan and apparently doesnt take our insurance after all. I was further informed that Dr. Hitzels office would accept my wifes dental insurance (Humana). But we would still have to reschedule because other patients were scheduled in place of us. What a waste of time and effort!

I am writing this for my fiance. He had a cleaning at this office. The Hygienist chipped his tooth during the cleaning but did not tell him. On his way home he felt it with his tongue. He called the office and was told to come in. At that visit the Dentist accused him of chipping the tooth himself and trying to say they caused it. They would not treat him without charge. So they say that my fiance coincidentally chipped his tooth driving home from the Dental office without eating or drinking anything. My fiance had to pay another Dentist to repair his tooth. Now Dr. Hitzels office is hounding him for his co-pay for the original treatment. Stay away from this Dentist. Bad News. I would have given him Zero stars if I could.

Dr. HItzel is the best dentist Ive ever been to. Several times, other dentists told me I needed a bunch of dental work, but Dr. Hitzel said it would get better with time. In all cases, he was right-- he saved me from getting unnecessary dental work. Then when I DID actually need dental work, i couldnt believe how painless Dr. Hitzels technique was. I needed two implants. At all stages of treatment, I barely even noticed that I had had dental work. They feel like my own teeth. I am a physician, so I am very picky about other practitioners. Dr. Hitzel has the rare combination of being able to accurately diagnose, to choose the most sure-fire treatment plan, and to execute the plan with skill.

Dr. Hitzel and his staff always go above and beyond for my teen daughter. She has a terrible fear of the dentist and has actually been turned away from several pediatric dentists. Dr. Hitzel and his staff are so comforting. Holly goes the extra mile with trying to get the insurance company and has even gone out of her way to assist with payment receipt in a unique family situation. They are extremely competent and reassuring, charge reasonable rates, dont do unnecessary work, and have convenient locations. We are very happy and would recommend them highly.

The administrative staff at this office is practically incompetent, or at least extremely unreliable. I have been waiting seven months or more for a cost quote for bridgework and several crowns. The admin staff says they are waiting for paperwork from my insurance carrier, At least four times someone has told me they will followup and get back to me, but I have never received a call back. They obviously dont need my business. Dont waste your time with this dentist.

They staff is very friendly and helpful. Ive had two cleanings and two fillings done here. Im terrified of the "dentist" because Ive had horrible experiences before. They made sure I was ok through the entire cleaning and when I was getting my fillings by Dr De laTorre she made sure I was comfortable the entire time and she was very pleasant. Im so happy to have finally found this dentist!

Very impressed with the office overall! I was a previous patient but had switched due to a change in insurance. I needed to get into the office right away as I was in a lot of pain and they did a great job of fitting me. I really appreciated this! When I went in for the procedure, it was much better than expected and I would definitely recommend this office.

I had my first root canal and extraction done at this facility. Ive always been afraid of the dentist as most people are but the staff was very courteous and I did not feel a single bit of pain! I am so pleased with my experience and for once Im actually looking forward to going back. =)

BEWARE!! This dentist will destroy your mouth. Does extremely average work. Destroyed one of my crowns and refused to fix it. Do your self a favor and find a reputble dentist.
