Sought out Kool Smiles initially as they offered Saturday appointments. Long story short, I called the very first of summer 2016 for an appointment, had to wait 2 1/2 months for first appointment - they call me and reschedule as the office was going to be closed Saturday. Scheduled my son another month out - that Saturday comes, they call to cancel AGAIN and reschedule - I told them i would NOT wait another month because they keep closing on Saturdays. Well, this past Saturday, the 15th rolls around - 3rd appointment, 3rd times a charm right? WRONG!!!! I show up and was told the hygienist fell ill and left. GREAT! While that IS understandable - its still unacceptable to not have someone there who can take her place. I called to make a complaint to the 800 number - eventually the office manager for Forest Park location called me back. I was told by the office manager its not their fault the hygienist got sick and I wouldnt want her in my kids mouth anyway with her being sick. She then tells me everyone up there has a life and work full time too - its hard to get the proper staff on Saturdays. I tried to be nice to her but she was making very difficult with her condescending tone . I told her I DO understand people get sick - but it is KOOL SMILES as an overall corporation who is FAILING as they are expecting this location to be open and offer Saturday appointments they are not equipped to handle. I would not recommend this location to any parent or the company for that matter. I hate having to go thru an 800 number with Doctors and Dentisits alike. I found an office called Homegrown Pediatrics on Arrowhead Blvd in Jonesboro with much BETTER praise and reviews. Hoping my experience with them is much better than Kool Smiles. I do not see how anything could be worse.

My family has been going to Kool Smiles for the last 5 years, We initial started at the Old National Hwy location but for the last year weve been going to the Jonesboro Road location.........for reasons of scheduling only. The children (I have 4 children that go to these dentist) had appointments for fillings in December. The work was done and 2 of the children were still in pain for about a week (christmas holiday) before we could get back into the office. We went back and 1 of the childrens work was fixed the other one was told she needed a root canal, sent home with a pain prescription to make an appointment with another doctor for the root canal evaluation. The medicine did not relieve the pain and after calling Dr. Gillespe we were told they could not give her any other medication for pain, so we have been dealing with that. The doctor we were referred to could not see my daughter until the end of February.........unacceptable/not going to work at all, so we had to call around to find someone that could do the work . We found another doctor to evaluate her concerning the root canal and after x-rays we were told a root canal is not necessary, that her tooth could be saved without that process. This has not been a pleasant experience and because of the misdiagnosis I think that we will not be going back to that location. This experience does not mean they do not do good work but Im disappointed with this whole experience and that they really did not diagnosis her correctly even with the x-rays!!!!!. ****you all decide***

Absolutely horrible experience!! Will not recommend to anyone!!! My daughter had an appt last month for her fillings... the dentist had them to remove a bracket off her teeth in order to do her fillings. While the orthodontist was removing it is consulted with him about removing her braces. Once he removed the bracket which only took 10 sec the dentist refused to do the fillings saying I have to reschedule which the next appt they had available was June 21st, 2016. I took her and I advised the receptionist I was outside making business calls she said ok. My daughter came to me outside saying they wanted to talk to me. I went in and the office manager said the dentist is refusing to do my 13yr old daughter fillings because my daughter didnt want them. I advised them shes a minor and it doesnt matter what she wants it is what I am wanting. The office manager said it is my 13yr old daughter decision and they cannot force her to get the procedure done. I asked why didnt anyone call me on my phone... she said well you werent supposed to leave. I advised her that the receptionist knew I was outside using my phone. The receptionist said she knew I was going to use the phone but that she wasnt "in it". I asked for my daughters records and will NEVER use Kool smiles for ANYTHING!! Nor will I recommend them to anyone!! Very unprofessional and very ghetto and located in every bad area possible!! Do not.. and I repeat DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS or anyone to them!!

I wish that I could give NO stars!!! By far the worst experience Ive ever had!!! The young lady that checked me in was extremely nice, it was all down hill from there. The young lady that does the weight and asked questions for doctor was extremely rude and in no shape form or fashion kid friendly!! From there we were all stuffed in the back with barely any room for the customers that were already waiting, the doctor came in and did a rush job on every patient that was waiting for him, he also told me that my daughter that she had an infection but failed to give her a prescription for antibiotics when I questioned about it he told the young lady who has NO authority to write a prescription to do it, needless to say she never got the prescription! In the parking lot of the dentist office my daughter kept complaining that her tooth was now hurting keep in mind she went to the dentist office in no pain, I realized he had dug in her gums so much that he scrapped up her gums causing them to bleed!! I dont trust anything the doctor said to me, Im furious that I wasted my morning in that place!!!! Furthermore my nine year who neverrrr had a problem with the dentist says she never wants to go back!!! I will never step foot back in Kool smiles again I dont care which location it is that was enough for me!!!

We will NEVER come back again. I foolishly let them put Caps on my toddler, done by Dr Gillespie. After a few day my husband and i looked at them and they looked crooked. When my son and i came back for our routine follow up, we were met with Dr. Sakhaee..who was rude and had zero bed side manner. He seemed to be irritated with my son who was upset (hes 2yrs) and would not keep his mouth open. I addresses my concerns about the caps being on crooked but affecting his bit...the dr said "it shouldnt bother him and he will grow out if it or they could do them over. But i dont know what to tell you. I have no answers." I also had to point out one of the caps that had a line in it and the dr said it had cracked. But then turns around and said its fine. After doing research i now feel, my son probably was too young for caps anyway and a better dr would have just placed a large filling between his 2 front teeth and call it a day. This place is a rip off and doesnt unnecessary procedures/treatments for the money and not for the best interests of the child. I hate that i ever brought my child here! We are getting a second opion from another denistry this week..ill write a follow up about what the new dr says about his caps.
