Jim and Denise practically feel like family, weve been taking our dogs to them since I was a kid. I now drive over an hour to bring my dogs to them. My adult dog can be sort of cantankerous with strangers, but her tail wags the moment she walks through the door which speaks volumes to me. Jim stays up on recent veterinary research and frequently speaks of recent articles that he has read to answer a question, which I appreciate as a medical professional. Any time any of my dogs have needed surgery, I know that they will be in good hands leaving them there. My younger pup had a bad spell initially with vaccinations (though not given by this clinic) and Jim always makes sure I have a way to contact him after hours with any concerns.

Took my cat in a while back after two places said we needed teeth extracted as my cat stopped eating/had minor swelling in his gums. The veterinarian was very thorough, explained we would try an antibiotic first at Silver Creek Veterinary. Antibiotic cleared it up, much cheaper, my cat can eat hard and soft food again and is happy, no issues going on 6 months! He has also gained back all the weight he had lost. Great service, very knowledgeable, and my cat didnt have to have surgery like two other local animal hospitals were saying he needed.

If you live in the Louisville/Southern Indiana area and need a vet, you should consider Silver Creek Veterinary Clinic. We brought our very sick cat in on Friday and didnt know if she would make it through the night. Not only did they treat her quickly, but they even met me at the clinic the next night at 11:30 when she started displaying some of the same symptoms again. Our Cookie is now back to being healthy and happy and were glad we brought her to the right place!

He called me a loser for taking my dog elsewhere to be seen. Refused to see my dog and at one point I thought he was gonna get physical. I heard him out and asked for this last treatment and he told me he cared less about my dogs health. I asked for his records back from his wife and treated my fur baby elsewhere. This man should retire. He acts unhappy and lifeless towards animals.

My precious cat got her tail slammed in the door by accident. We rushed her to Silver Creek and they took care of her immediately. He was very good with handling her and stitched her up saving her tail. Her tail was nearly severed but now she is all healed up. They are good people and we are grateful. The doctor even called to check on her.

The Vet and his wife are a great team. What he lacks in charm he makes up in his dedication for the care and love he gives to pets. We have taken three generations dogs, two Poodles, two Sheep Dogs, and now a Heinz 59. They have lived to an average of over fifteen years. That speaks volumes about this professional and his wife.

$20 to get nails trimmed? For real? We tried this place because it was a little closer to home, but well be going back to our other usual spot. They charge half the price. And the guy cut our cats nails so short that she was bleeding. PISSED!!!

BEWARE,... I TOOK MY DOG HERE TO CHECK SOME BLEEDING FROM HIS RETEM AREA. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A TUMOR AND NEEDED SURGERY 700 DOLLARS. I GOT A SECOND OPINION. HE HAD A HEMROID JUST NEEDED CREAM. PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

Dr. Hannigan has been our vet for several decades now. He is the best I have ever dealt with. Both he and his wife are so very friendly every time we come in. And he sure seems to care about our "fur people".
