One customer praised the clinic for its high-quality care, especially for exotic pets like house bunnies. The customer mentioned that the staff, including receptionists, showed exceptional compassion and care. The clinic was also commended for its low-cost spay/neuter program and for going the extra mile in pet care, such as checking for overgrown teeth in rabbits without being asked.
Another customer had a less than satisfactory experience, especially with the waiting times and the vet's handling of their Red Ear Slider turtle. The customer felt that the vet was not knowledgeable about reptiles and was extremely rough in handling the animal. The customer strongly advised against taking animals to this clinic.
A third customer expressed disappointment in not being able to see the vet during their visit, only interacting with the tech. They were advised to opt for a $1,500 surgery for their dehydrated ferret, which they felt was unnecessary. The customer also mentioned that they did not receive any follow-up calls after their visit, despite multiple attempts to reach out to the clinic.
The clinic has a rating of 4.1, indicating that while some customers have had excellent experiences, others have had less satisfactory ones. The clinic seems to excel in treating certain types of pets but falls short in others, as per customer reviews.

Update: I noticed several people complain about this veterinary clinic based on a price they were quoted for service. I would like to say a few things on this. First, if you want quality service you pay quality price, Im not saying Ravenwood is pricey but I am saying they are extremely high quality care and I am willing to pay for that. Second, if you have an exotic pet (not a cat or dog) it is not the norm. Therefore, it is more expensive to have an exotic pet, especially when problems occur. It is unrealistic to believe your pet will never have issues. and you as an exotic pet owner must be prepared for emergencies to occur. With that being said, I believe Ravenwood is the best veterinary clinic I have been to for all pets in my lifetime. I have never seen such compassion and care by all staff, even receptionists, than I do here. I have searched the entire East cost of Florida for an exceptional vet for my house bunnies. I have six. I was going to a vet in St Augustine. My first rabbit was acting very different and loosing weight and I brought him to our vet, at the time in St. Augustine and she misdiagnosed him as just "loosing a small amount of weight for summer time". Three weeks later he died of teeth abscesses. The emergency vet said he lost all the weight from being in so much pain he couldnt bring himself to eat. Rabbits teeth are their most important health issue and I asked the previous vet in St. Augustine to check if this was the issue several times. Heartbroken, I was done with this vet and could not bare to go back and began joining Facebook groups to find THE BEST vet in Florida for rabbits, no matter the distance. A rabbit rescue in South Florida recommended Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic. They sponsored a low-cost spay/neuter program with Ravenwood (BUNS Program) which was great because I could not find a vet to spay my females either. I signed up for the spay of my first female. It could not have went more smoothly. Through the BUNS program I only paid $65 for the entire spay (very good price for a rabbit spay) plus about $10 for pain medicine (my choice). They took amazing care of my wonderful Hippity Hop and she was was observed for possible complications afterward until I got off work, about 6:00 pm, had her for over 10 hours! The vet told me at pick-up her teeth were slightly over grown (I didnt even ask her to check) and she trimmed them while Hippity was under, she did not charge me extra. I was impressed already when they held her until I was off of work, by now I was amazed. To me this is the definition of exceptional care: knowing the problems a species has and to check for it without owner having to ask. Since then, it has been about two years and I have had another female spayed and now take my other rabbits and puppy there as well. They have taken care of all of my pups shots, given specific breed information to look out for and extended excellent care to her as well. Youre probably wondering how far I drive? I live in Palm Coast, FL so it isnt too far, but even if it was I would be willing to drive to this amazing clinic. They treat my animals with care beyond what I expect and are very knowledgeable. I would recommend to anyone with a house bunny, or any type of pet.

I took my turtle (Red Ear Slider) to this vet because he had diarrhea. I was to make an appointment with Dr. Anderson. We finally got there and we didnt know if we were at the right place or not, because there was no sign anywhere that said Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic. The appointment was scheduled for 10:30 AM, we didnt see the vet until around 11:30 AM. The people sitting next to us who had an appointment for their dog also had an appointment for 10:30 AM. So finally we got in the other room and had to wait another half hour before the vet came in. You can here the vet talking to the other doctors about their personal lives and such for a half hour. I was hating the wait more than my turtle did! So finally Dr. Anderson came in. He was EXTREMELY rough with my poor turtle! He was just flipping him around in his hands like he was a rag doll. I was scared he was going to drop him. And, what do you know, he dropped my turtle in the container I had brought him in!!! Dr. Anderson knows NOTHING about turtles, let alone ANY animal. I knew more than this guy! He wanted to give my turtle Febendazole and Albendazole to treat the diarrhea. Those two drugs should NEVER be used with reptiles! They are very dangerous to them. I told him those were bad drugs and he just said, Oh no theres nothing to worry about. He also told me that the key to owning turtles is to buy a hatchling and release it when it gets older because they have more survival skills when you have been taking care of them - that is NOT true at all! Pet turtles have no survival skills! They have gotten used to you feeding them and taking care of them, if you let them go, they have no idea what to do! Thats why turtles die when you let them go! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS VET!!! NEVER!!! Dr. Anderson is loud, knows NOTHING about animals, and is a liar!!! WORST VET I HAVE EVERY GONE TO!! PLEASE do not make the same mistake I made!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS VET!!!!

I am highly disappointed. First Id like to say I never even seen the Vet only her tech which Ive never taken my pet to the clinic and never seen the vet. The only good thing about my trip was the tech was very friendly and appeared to want to help. I brought my ferret in to the office extremely dehydrated to find out what was wrong with him. I was told he had swallowed something he shouldnt and that they highly did not think it would pass without surgery. This was stressed to me. After asking several questions I knew what he had swallowed and asked if I was able to rehydrate him if they think it would pass. I again was stressed no he would need surgery. My options were to have the $1,500 surgery or to relinquish my ferret. I decided to take him home and try to hydrate him with Pedialyte. I asked several questions on how many times I should try to get him to drink the Pedialyte and how much. They stressed to not to feed it to him to let him drink it if you wanted to. If he wanted to drink water he wouldnt be dehydrated. I started forcing Pedialyte on him for the remainder of the night the next morning he passed the fabric. I called them three different times on questions about what I should be looking for now that it had been passed. I was assured I would get a call back and my phone number was taken 3 times. I never received a call back. But the next day received an email asking for a survey. I am highly disappointed we live less than a block away have several pets and will not go back there. What if after he passed it I was suppose to do something or look for something no one could bother to give me a call back because I feel I did not spend $1500.
