Disgusting, vile and despicable!!! Thats what I would use to describe this after hours emergency clinic. My dog was hit by a car Sunday at 2 a.m. I rushed him to this clinic to be treated. (The only positive thing Ill say is they do have payment options since I had no money to treat him but i will tell you why soon) after xrays and pain medicine they told me that he had a broken femur bone. I was thrilled knowing that my dog wasnt going to die. After being told however that surgery to fix it would be in the range of $2500 to $3,500, as an estimate because they werent sure they didnt perform those types of surgeries, i was scared again . (laying everything out truthfully so they dont have a chance to rebuttal with lies like they do on other poor reviews) I told them I didnt have that type of money to get it fixed but that I was going to try to find a way. The only other option they gave me to fix it was to cut off his leg which would also be $1,000. Way more than I had. And since I was doing payment options there they knew that I wouldnt be able to pay it upfront and didnt think Id be able to do the same somewhere else. They told me this over and over again. Reminding me the most humane thing to do would be to euthanize him over a broken leg because they felt hed be suffering. They didnt give me a chance to try to save him they just wanted me to kill my dog, my disabled dog, the dog a bottle fed as a puppy instead of trying to save his life. Luckily Ive never listen to what anyone says and I worked all day and night and was able to find a clinic to help me. (if youre looking for a great caring clinic please check out downtown pet Hospital they are amazing) I felt the whole time they were pressuring me into euthanize a my dog. Looked at me like I was being cruel to keep him alive with a broken leg. They felt I would have no means to fix. But heres the icing on the cake ladies and gentleman. This wench of a veterinary Dr or if you can even call her that. Dr Starek called animal control and sent them to my home to make sure that I wasnt keeping my dog in inhumane situation!!! She never once tried to help me find an orthopedic surgeon to help with payment plans, she never once tried to comfort me that I could save my dog. Her kindest response was to put my dog down with a broken leg, nothing more! AND THEN HAD THE NERVE TO CALL ANIMAL CONTROL AND FIND OUT IF I WAS BEING HUMANE! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!! Ive already read this a couple times in their negative reviews and I just want to restate it again. This clinic cares nothing for animals only for the lining of their pockets! $431 for xrays and pain medicine that is what I got at this clinic. What did you people do?!But what they really offered me was fear, heart ache and the possibility of charges through animal control. You people should be disgusted with yourselves. If you had simply called me and asked how things were going, if you even gave a crap about my dog you would have known that I was doing everything in my power to save his leg and his life. Not that a person with any shred of humanity couldnt see that night at the clinic! You guys shouldnt be allowed to even look at animals let alone treat them! And Im keeping my promise! I will find every review outlet so I can let people know the type of clinic you guys are running! Oh and if you guys read this please feel free to call me Thursday to see what real vets do to save animals. Thanks again Downtown Pet Hospital!!! A 1⛥ is wayyyyyyy too much for you!

I would just like to inform any and everyone to never take their pet to The Veterinary Emergency Clinic of Central Florida especially the one located at the (Waterford Lakes Location) 1101 Lake Underhill Road Orlando FL, 32835. One of my dogs recently had to have a (Cystotomy) or bladder stone removal surgery. The SPCA suggested that I wait another month for an appointment and I knew this couldn’t wait any longer, so I drove from Altamonte Springs to the East Side of Orlando to this location and was given a price quote for the low end of 1668.00 and the high price of 2209.55. I declined these offers and they then offered to do something for my dog that was only temporary and it would have still costed 700.00 at a minimum. Mind you, I did first try the location in South Orlando at 2080 Principal Row Orlando FL, 32837 which turned me away because they had a two hour wait because of an emergency and drove to the Waterford Lakes location. I came up with 1100.00 to pretty much save my dogs life and they still would not do anything for him. So, I then asked questions about if I could pay the 1100.00 and come back to get him and possibly came up short what would happen. They advised they would get the cops involved which to me was a threat because I am an African American woman. So, I called around to another Emergency Pet Hospital Located at 8742 White Road Orlando FL, 32818 who advised me that they would only charge me 1500.00 in and out the door per no complications so I chose to go to them, which was so amazing and understanding of me having a financial restraint and the surgery was done right away and there were no complications which the Central Florida Vet suggested there could possibly be. Before I left the (Waterford Lakes Location) they asked me to relinquish my rights to my dog and I had to sign papers saying that I would decline their services. At the end, I did get the surgery done for my dog and Monday morning I got a knock on the door from animal services because the services that I declined at The Veterinary Emergency Clinic of Central Florida located at (Waterford Lakes Location) 1101 Lake Underhill Road Orlando FL, 32835. I advised the animal service representative by showing him a receipt and the 15 bladder stones that were taken out of my pet that were in a bag, for them to close the case against me for animal cruelty. So, I want to make everyone aware that this is not the place to go for their pet especially if you are of the African American race. They intimidated me and threatened because I didn’t use their services for my pet. My dogs are well kept and groomed and shots are always kept up on. I only was trying to save the life of a very loving dog.

MY CAT DIED UNDER THEIR CARE, PLEASE BE WARY ABOUT TAKING YOUR PET TO THIS FACILITY. Here is my story: Our two year old female white persian cat Lilly was groomed on Saturday August 20th, 2016 as she had been every three months by the same mobile groomer. But unlike the previous three instances, after her grooming on Saturday, Lillys health started to deteriorate. Specifically, she stopped eating, became extremely lethargic, and on Monday August 22nd, she could no longer move. In a state of panic, at 440am on said day, I took my Lilly to this clinic. Within 10 minutes after my arrival, the vet on call examined our cat. She patted Lillys belly to ascertain if there were any obstructions in her stomach and vowels and found there were none. Then, the vet gave her a mobility test to determine if our cat could move her legs, and unfortunately Lilly could barely move. And then, she checked her heart and told me that it sounded normal. Finally, she ordered blood work. After 20 minutes, the vet came back and told me that Lillys blood results were negative for infections and abnormalities. Based on these findings and exams, the vet assured me there was nothing wrong with Lilly. At this point, I asked the vet if she had any idea why my cat looked so tired, ill, even despondent. And her response was that most likely our cat became startled after being groomed. I asked the vet if she was certain that I could take my cat home and leave her home while my wife and I went to work. She answered that we could. Ultimately, the vet sent my cat home with a prescription for pain medication, after I paid $437 for the visit. We arrived home at 640am and I laid my Lilly on our couch. Much to my chagrin, she refused to eat anything, not even her favorite treats. But since the vet said she would be fine, we went to work. Six hours later I came home and found my Lilly unconscious. In sheer desperation, I drove back to the clinic like a mad man to try to save her life! Tragically, when I arrived, they told me that she had no heart beat and was dead. To say the least, I was devastated and broke down and cried. And when I demanded to speak with a vet, instead, they had me speak with the nurse on duty, Eric (I believe that was his name) who tried to console me, but whose only explication of this tragic occurrence was that they had no way of knowing what had happened. I hope every pet owner reads my hapless experience and does his/her research before taking their beloved pets to this place.
