Unfortunately, I am a mother of a mentally ill daughter who is addicted to heroine. I am also a practicing medical professional who currently works in an acute care facility. From the first phone call, I have made to Eagleville, it has been a nightmare. My daughter has signed consent for the staff to discuss her care and discharge planning with me, but each time I call the hospital, an extremely rude person answers the phone and tells me that there are HIPPA laws and that they can provide no information to me. I attempt to inform the operator that all papers are already signed. She again refused to even allow me to be transferred to discuss my daughters care with anyone. This weekend operator was extremely rude and quite abrasive. I have spoken to three nurse supervisors and all have not even been able to inform me if my daughter was alive or dead. Unfortunately my daughter is still in this horrible facility and I am not included in discharge planning, which is a huge part of the discharge process for all institutions across the country. From the operator... all the way to the nursing supervisors........total lack of compassion and class!!!! It is so sad to think that this can happen in todays world. I hope that they one day do not have to experience the pain that they have caused me during this difficult period in our lives. As a mother of an only child with mental health issues, I am horrified of the lack of concern for family members that this facility exhibits to the general public. I have never written a review in my life, but I felt compelled to do so at this time in order to prevent other family members from experiencing the same nonsense. I am looking forward to my daughters discharge from this sad excuse of a hospital.

This facility is the worst facility. If you love your family member and want them to get proper treatment DO NOT take them here. My father in law was taken there voluntarily and after only 3 days they said, Oh you can go home. He was suicidal multiple time before we took him there, and they did not even address that, they released him after only 3 days as he was also there for alcoholism, and they said "Oh he didnt need detox because he doesnt have any in his system. This place doesnt know what they are doing, and does not care about its patients. This is even from a cash paying family, where cost was not a factor, and we only wanted the best local treatment for him. I wouldnt take my dog there for a bath after our experience with this place. If you care about you family member, avoid this place because they do not know how to deal with the mental and emotional aspects of alcohol abuse in adults, and cannot begin to address any type of mental disorders brought on by antidepressants, and the tuning of that class of medication. They are basically a "drunk tank" where you may possibly be able to take a chemically dependent person for a couple of days to not have access to those chemicals, but a treatment facility it is not. You would be better served tying them to a tree in the back yard and keeping an eye on them there. At least you will know they are under a watchful eye.

On July 1, 2013 I was admitted to Eagleville Hospital for my heroin addiction. I arrived at 4:00pm it took till 5:00am for me to get to the Detox unit without being given anything for my withdraw symptoms. Upon my arrival a gentleman attempted to touch me which scared me. I wasnt given any thing at that time except what they call comfort medication, a blood pressure pill and a sleeping pill which did nothing. The following day I didnt receive any medication until 4:00pm and at that time I was given 20mgs of methadone along with the "comfort medication", the following day they gave me 15mgs of methadone along with the comfort medication. I was so sick that I was trembling, vomiting, sweating ect.. At that time I decided to leave because I was not getting enough medication for a 6-7 bundle a day habit. Upon my families arrival we went to get my property and they had lost my iPhone,400.00 cash, drivers licence, social security card, insurance card and credit card. The staff for the most part was okay but a few were awful; Chelsey and Susan treated me and my family terrible. The only helpful staff member was Pat Ferro. I would never suggest that anyone go to this facility. I had the worst experience.

My daughter has been in rehab 17 times over 7 yrs. for heroin addiction and this is the 1st place she has ever agreed to stay long term. She has been there for 40 days now and is staying for 90 days, afterwards she is going to a halfway house. You have to remember with addiction the person has to want to stay and be open and ready for the treatment. The staff has been wonderful and she says it is the best rehab she has been in. I am very hopeful that she will actually stay clean and sober this time thanks to the treatment she has received there and HER DESIRE to recover.

Best care Ive EVER received in a Detox Unit! Medical staff were professional, knowledgeable, caring and sympathetic...counselors, clinicians and caseworkers exhibited the same qualities: ALL were readily accessible and willing to assist in ANY way possible! Without exception everyone involved in my care/well-being made a "painful experience" a bearable one! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This is the absolute worst place to send someone seeking treatment. Everyone runs around like animals while the "staff" does nothing and the environment is definitely not about recovery but rather who they can run out the door and get high with. If youre trying to make the step in the right direction this is not the place for you!
