We had terrible experience at Riccobene on both the Pediatric and Adult sides. I will never go there again and I recommend going ANYWHERE but Riccobene. On my sons FIRST appointment, which he only went for a cleaning and exam, they took more xrays even though I brought the ones taken only 6 months prior. The dentist, Dr. Brooke, WROTE ON my paper copy of the xrays I brought with me from my sons prior dentist, claiming that he had several cavities, even visible on those xrays taken 6 months prior, that needed to be filled. One in particular, she claimed, may even need a crown, but they would try a filling first and if that wasnt "sufficient", they would do a crown. Mind you, he had been to the dentist 6 months prior to this and the tooth was fine at that time. Their written treatment plan skipped the filling for the one tooth and went straight to a crown (guess they liked my insurance). Their treatment plan was outrageous and overzealous. I scheduled the appointment for the fillings but was having second thoughts. I got a second opinion and the other dentist took an xray of the particular tooth and confirmed that the tooth did not need a crown at all, only a small filling and said for another filling that Riccobene claimed he needed that it actually did not need a filling at all. Of course, I had already canceled the appointment at Riccobene, but they called me trying to reschedule all the "work" my son needed. MONTHS later, after the insurance did not have the correct birthdate on file, their billing office called me and was pretty nasty about a balance due that I did not even know was due, only because of the insurance error, threatening me with collections when they had not even sent a SINGLE statement letting me know there was a discrepancy or balance due. I was so disappointed in their business practices, overzealous, drill-happy treatment plans, lack of professionalism from the dentist and the billing lady, and the entire way our first and ONLY appointment with Riccobene went. I went there based on other recommendations and it proved to be a mistake. People rave about their free coffee and Dr. Brooke, but the way I see it, Ill pay for my coffee and NOT get ripped off on an outrageous and completely unnecessary treatment plan- my child is not a guinea pig or a cash register. RUN from Riccobene or learn the hard way like we did. The adult Riccobene is a whole different story but same underlying themes- unnecessary treatment plan and over-billing for xrays not covered by insurance unbenounced to me. It was pretty clear in both of my experiences with Riccobene that they are only in it for the money- dont be blinded by the coffee machine- its not very impressive after all.

Friendly, high tech, and quick - this is right by my office, so stopped in on a Friday to see what I could do about a tooth I had chipped a few months back. This was after their regular Friday hours when they took patients, was able to get an appointment the following Wednesday. I showed up for my appointment on Wednesday, and it was so efficient. They actually put me into an exam room a few minutes earlier than my appointment was supposed to start, the assistant took a digital x-ray right there in the chair and it popped up almost immediately on the computer, they said the dentist would be in shortly, and I was expecting to wait 15 minutes, he was there in less than 5. He did the examination and looked at not only the broken tooth, but another cap I had on the other front tooth, and was willing to discuss all the options with me, and gave me some general recommendations for the overall health of my teeth and how I could get the most out of their services. The price was definitely fair for the efficient and courteous service I received from everyone there. The location is also super convenient for where I work. This is definitely going to be my dentist.

TERRIBLE experience with this dental office. I have gone to both the Cary and Garner offices. The doctors and dental assistants that have helped me were very thoughtful, knowledgeable, and able and willing to answer all of my questions. The rest of the office staff is questionable at best. I had to make several different calls trying to find the answers to my questions. I feel as though I had been brushed off every time, or simply given an answer to get me off the phone. Also, after the doctor at the Cary location did his tests and evaluations, he determined I needed a root canal and referred me to the specialist at the Garner office. I then had to schedule a consultation at the Garner office and was charged for a separate visit fee just so the doctor there could perform the same tests and determine the same outcome. How is this an appropriate business model? Either the doctors at different offices dont trust the evaluations made by their counterparts or this must be a very effective way to charge extra money for the same services rendered. NOT happy at all.

We had our first dentist appointments today for my 4 children at the Riccobene Cary Location. It was an EXCELLENT experience. The waiting area is beautifully decorated to make children feel comfortable and at ease. They played with the legos and puzzles prior to their appointment and loved the wall paintings. I was pleasantly surprised at the set up of the office. The hygienists saw all 4 of my children at the same time and the room is open so my husband and I could attend to all of them during their exam. The hygienists we excellent in getting the kids teeth cleaned while making it a fun experience for them. We saw Dr. Patel and she was awesome! At the end of the visit the kids got tokens and got to pick a "treat" out of several toy machines. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a Pediatric dentist to make an appointment with Riccobenes Pediatric office. 4 Exams, including x-rays and we were done in 45 minutes!

I havent had my teeth cleaned in quite a few years, so I was a bit worried about pain and price going forward. Dr. Riccobene and hygienist Tabitha went above and beyond the call of duty to not only make me comfortable, but to save me money with my insurance company. They actually called me back and gave me a lower price for some much needed work. After an inspection my first deep cleaning only took an hour and I never felt a thing! Tabitha is a total professional, who not only relaxed me, but was very gentle and skilled in her work. Dr. Riccobene is very personable, upfront, and clearly explained all the procedures and work. The office is brand new, very clean, and modern. I highly recommend them if you havent been to the dentist in a few years and need a cleaning. A very honest and friendly staff, who saved me money, and made me feel good about my teeth.

Didnt go to the dentist for a while because of my indescribably awful previous experiences, which for obvious reasons resulted in 2 Root canals and many fillings. My friend recommended Dr.Alam and I am extremely happy he did because she is the nicest and most professional dentist in the US so basically the world. I consulted another dentist in Chicago before Dr.Alam, And i was told 2 of my teeth were a lost cause and their recommendation was to have them pulled. Dr.Alam was instead able to save them. I never thought i would actually become friends with my dentist and her assistant Zenaida, who is also the greatest. Everyone else in the office is also very nice and accommodating. No more pain and no more dentist anxiety. Thanks Dr.Alam and Zenaida and the rest of the office!!!!!
