Very Upset also. I read a whole bunch of bad reviews but also a ton of amazing reviews. I almost vomited being in this place. Although the staff were okay, Dr. Brester was a complete A-HOLE. I dont doubt that hes a good vet and yes the prices are cheap but his manner wasnt just "curt" as a few reviews mentioned...It was completely out of line. My main reason for coming was because I wanted a medical perspective to see what was going on with my chis leg cause it didnt seem broken and I expressed this to the staff. He felt the leg, and was already pulling out a cortisone shot from right behind him about to shoot my dogs leg up. I wanted to know if there were anything other options and I asked if I could hold off on the shot because he said it was a sprain and it didnt seem like she was in any pain. Also I wanted to go to my regular vet to get an x-ray to be completely sure(but I didnt tell him this) I dont think I was being disrespectful by asking and he said "DO WHATEVER YOU DAMN WELL PLEASE LADY, THIS IS THE CHEAPEST YOUR GUNNA GET!" and he just walked out. When it comes to my dog, money doesnt matter. I just wanted to know all the options because I have some hesitation about putting any-type of steroid into the body, dog or human. I had to take steroids and sometimes they do more harm than good. If he said it was absolutely necessary then I would have told him to do it. I dont doubt his abilities and yeah the price is great but I didnt appreciate his attitude especially when I was only asking a question. I was willing to look past his disgusting appearance because I heard he was so great with animals. I felt like I was in a horror movie, he was wearing a jumpsuit and as another review mentioned his nails were dirty...they were thick and dirty. Like I said, I was willing to look past this appearance because he seems like he works hard. I gave it one star because the staff didnt charge me anything because she seemed to realize his behavior was inappropriate and seemed like she felt bad for me because he blatantly disregarded my question and left. I will never EVER go here again. One less person, so people who actually go there have a shorter wait and then can get the hell out of there. Youre welcome.

Okay this review is really hard to write because we have taken our little dog Oscar to Dr. Brester for several years and he is always so good with him. However our Oscar was in the final stages of heart failure and last night he was experiencing lots of problems. Some of the girls in the office told us that if there was an emergency we could call and leave a message and when he came in to check on the animals that have had surgery he would check the messages and try to get our dog in, but it may be early in the morning. Well last night our dog was suffering really bad, he couldnt even lay down and go to sleep without gasping for air and he lost control of his bowels. So at 3:00 am I called and left a message, then again about 6:30 am I called and left another message and then again at 8:00 am I called and left another message. I still have yet to receive a phone call back. I went and signed him in and seen the doctor pull away right before sign in time, they told us we would have to wait until 12:45, I dont know why they couldnt have called him with the circumstance. Needless to say we had to take our dog to another vet that he had only seen once before and we had to put him to rest because his heart was beating very fast but not pumping blood fast enough to the rest of his body. So I ask where is the compassion for the very ill animals. I am not saying Dr. Brester doesnt have compassion it was the young lady taking the sign ins. I really feel like if one of the other girls would have been there they may have called him to come see our dog. I would have much rather had a familiar face put him to rest than a complete stranger. I really hope somehow Dr. Brester gets to read this so that he knows how I feel.

I took my gordon setter to the bean blossom animal clinic today. I arrived at ten minutes before noon. The lady that helped me sign in was very kind and explained that they had a three hour wait. She also explained that this was fairly normal for their clinic and suggested a hiking area where my two daughters and I could hike with our dog to kill some time. So we left and hiked and ate lunch. We got back in two hours and thirty minutes. At this point the clinic was packed and there was no place to even park. I thought wow some of these people will probably not be seen as there were only four cars when I signed in compared to the twenty or thirty when I got back. Then I went to the desk to check on the wait time. Apparently this is not the thing to do after you have been waiting nearly three hours for a rabies vaccination. I was ignored for a while by five ladies standing around talking behind the counter before one of them with an attitude finally checked and told me there were still seventeen people ahead of me and it would be another one and a half to two hours before my dog would be seen. Bringing my total wait time to around five hours. So in response to Darlenes suggestion in her review that if "YOU DONT LIKE IT HERE PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE" , well, I didnt and i certainly will. I would suggest that if the time you get to spend on this earth is valuable to you at all you do the same.
