What a horrible business. I WILL NEVER DO business here again and I will Make sure that everyone I come in contact with knows what rude and backwards service that is provided by the Optical Shop. I have never been so frustrated and disappointed. THE WORST CUSTOMER service by the Optical Shop. They tell you one thing and then Say otherwise. Charge you after without letting you know before. I purchased glasses and was sold a defective product. Just a few months later the frames cracked. I called to get the frames reordered and paid full price for a replacement. I was told by TOM that If this happens again to call and that he would take care of it for me because they would be under warranty. Well it happened again, so I called, and he ordered me new frames. And then again. So I called again. I was informed that I was not the only person that seemed to have this issue with these frames and he ordered them again. I dont live close and this was a HUGE inconvenience to have to keep returning to get my frames replaced. But it happened yet again! These frames a were junk! But I was informed that I could have them replaced. But this time, after I was about to leave they said I had to pay for them. So after leaving, not agreeing to pay for anything nor signing for anything I was sent a bill. I called to discuss this bill. I was transfered to Wanda in the optical shop, and not only did she now allow me to voice my concern, she did not offer to try to remedy the situation, SHE YELLED AND HUNG UP on me! So I called back and Spoke with Martina(supervisor). She said that the person I would need to speak with was Heather and she was not in the office and that she would speak with her and get back to me. 11 days pass and No one has called me. So I call. Martina says that she cant help me and transfers me to Heather. She wont help me and transfers me to Tom in optical shop. He flat out tells me "you owe this" and doesnt let me plead my case, because he he has to go, because it was closing time. So after speaking with 3 people and being on the phone for 35 minutes trying to get some kind of decent service, My concern it disregarded and ignored. NEVER USE THIS PLACE OR GIVE THEM ANY OF YOU HARD EARNED MONEY.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR CONTACTS!!!! CHECK YOU BILL CAREFULLY!!!! I moved back to Tampa and needed new contacts as I havent gotten any in about 2 years. In Jan I went here for my exam and contact fitting and was told that I didnt owe anything. Two months later I got a bill in the mail for $50. I was annoyed that they told me different and wish I could have just paid while I was there. But no big deal. Went in to pay the $50 in March and order my contacts. I was told that I cant get contacts until Jan of 2018 because I already used my insurance. Was confused and didnt understand. Called my insurance company and was told that my allowance for contacts was $200 and the doctor charged $250 for the contact fitting. Thats why I owed $50, not because of a copay. It was the remaining balance of their charge. The lady with my insurance company was confused because she said shes NEVER seen anyone charge that much. She said the average for a contact fitting is around $60. So now Ive paid over 4 times the average and $50 out of pocket, and now I cant afford to buy the contacts because I just quit my job to go back to school. Im now waiting for them to get back to me to explain why they charged me over 4 times the average for a contact fitting. UPDATE: I was told the issue was fixed. They charged $25 for the fitting and I used the remaining $175 for my contacts and paid the remaining money out of pocket since I ordered a years worth. However, next thing I know I get ANOTHER bill in the mail for $225 and now no one is returning my phone calls.

I made an appointment with Dr. Martinos offices to see her. My PCP recommended her. The office is rundown and was full, and I mean full, of people, when I arrived at 9:20 for my 9:50 appointment. I wasnt worried about timing because I had completed the online pre-appointment questionnaire as requested. So imagine my surprise when the desk staff asked I had brought the questionnaire with me. Yes, they wanted me to print out an online survey and bring it with me. I had to re-do all the forms, on paper when I got which I did and still had ample time to spare before my appointment. Then I waited. And waited. An hour after my scheduled appointment time I told them I could not wait longer. I had another appointment with another doctor and I was worried that, even if Dr. Martino saw me right away, there would not be ample time for the appointment and the desk person agreed. So, I left having wasted my time at home and my time here. There is no excuse for that kind of wait time at a specialist office. Theres no excuse for an online survey that needs to be printed and brought in. Its a chaotic environment and I would not recommend making an appointment with Dr. Martino or any doctor at Brandon Eye Associates.

BEWARE OF EXTRA COST AT CHECKOUT!!! When you go to see the medical doctor (Ophthalmology) they will do a Refraction test without informing you that your medical insurance does not cover this test. Then when you get to the checkout desk there is a note tape on the counter informing you that test is not cover and you have to pay $30! This is a very underhanded way to treat customers! They should be up front about the additional charge before they do the test! I refused to pay it since they took both my Medical & Vison insurance which the test is covered on my vision plan.

I had an eye exam and I made it very clear to every one that I came in contact with ...Do not do any testing that my insurance does not cover. Oh no problem , they said...Today I received a bill for $280.00 from them. I called and the billing person told me I had to pay it regardless of what was said and in three months they will turn it over to collections if I make payments. I am out of work, have always paid my bills and now they are going to ruin my excellent credit because they are greedy. I will never go back!

While the staff is friendly enough, this establishment would benefit greatly by watching the movie "Temple Grandin". She was hugely instrumental in the humane treatment of livestock for slaughter. Being shuffled around, and switching offices seven times, before which I was placed in an overloaded waiting area each time, I left Brandon Eye Associates feeling like I had taken part in a huge cattle herding. I spent an excruciating two hours there, and left feeling less than human.

I recently visited Brandon Eye Associates, was referred by a family member. I have to say from the moment I walked in was greeted immediately by the staff in a very friendly and professional manner. I did not wait long before I was called back for my exam. I appreciated this since I was in a rush to get back to work. The Dr. was very informative and eager to answer any of my questions. Thank you Brandon Eye Associates, I will be back and refer to my friends and family. Read less
