If you are looking for a healthcare practice that treats you like a real human being, then this review might be one of the most important you read...heres the story: My healthcare provider referred me to this place and I walked in a couple weeks ago. I was seen quickly, on the urgent care side by Dr. Hunt. He was such a breath of fresh air, after Id had so many negative experiences with other providers. I actually enjoyed this visit, and figured it was an anomaly... Then, a week later, I met Dr.Soto, who immediately struck me as a kind and generous man. He really surprised me further, as he took the time to truly listen to me and all my concerns. Beyond that, he asked questions about my life and career, and I felt that he truly wanted to know me as a person. Now, I had to visit for a third time in two weeks (I know!)... with no appointment, I walked in and was taken care of by a Dr. Joseph (sorry, no last name). I saw the dr. QUICKLY and was completely taken care of. This really shocked me, as Ive recently had to write a bad review of another provider... three times, three excellent five star visits. I am completely sold on this team, at the Forest drive location. Oh, and for the record, the support staff on all counts is just as good--kind, courteous, friendly and fast--as the rest. Loved it, and compelled to write a raving review! Jesse Moskel

Dr. was quite nice but staff is slack about followthrough. As I left my last appointment, my doctor said he was sending in to my pharmacy a prescription of a medication I take with a few refills as well. When I ran out of my current bottle, I called to have it filled, but no prescription had never been called/transferred in. The afterhours/weekend staff did not include a nurse practitioner or a doctor so my refill could not be called in over the weekend. The afterhours staff intimated the regular staff would get this message. This morning (Monday) I called, and I know it was Monday morning, but I was very polite and the woman I talked to was not even friendly/polite, much less apologetic about the error at all. I told her that I suffer from terrible side effects (vertigo so bad I cant walk) if I run out of medicine. She listened, got my birthdate and name, then said shed see that the nurse took care of it. Still hasnt been called in. Thanks, guys. Think I will not be returning again. -this google users husband

Dr. Soto is a very good doctor and I like him allot however, his support staff is the worst I have ever encountered. For one, they never answer the phone no matter what time you call. They rarely if ever return a call when you leave a message. It took me over a month to get my drugs called in correctly to the correct pharmacy. Calling repeatedly did not help. I finally had to show up at the Forest Dr. twice to get most of my drugs called in correctly. There is still one drug that needs to be corrected. I dont understand what the problem is. Perhaps lack of supervision or a simple lack of concern for the patients. Today I arrived 5 minutes early for a scheduled follow up appointment and waited 45 minutes. I asked when the doc could see me and was told there was 1 other person in front of me. I rescheduled for Friday and walked out. I dont think I can take this much longer before I will have to find a new doctor.

Hands dow THE WORST DOCTORS OFFICE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I attempted to have Dr. Soto as my PCP but after weeks phone tag and trying to deal with their ridiculous automated answering system that either hangs up on you or transfers you to a voice mail along with the rude, impatient, unconcerned staff forced me to change my provider. When I mentioned I was changing my PCP the doctor refused to see me. Dr. Soto is a disrespectful and shameful man who leads his patients to believe he is there to help them then lets all of their calls go to his nurses answering machine. Even worse is that I asked to be seen by the other MD on site and Dr. Soto specifically denied me service. I am currently sitting at my laptop without the medication that allows me to get through the day thanks to that incompetent rude Dr. Soto and his staff of fat, lazy, bureaucratic drones at Colonial. SO DISAPPOINTED BY THIS PLACE!!!

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Sharon and her team for going out of their way today to take care of a prescription refill request for me today. No one provides PERFECT healthcare experiences these days because the market dynamics with insurance companies pushing down on them is so difficult, but Ive never had anything but great experiences with Dr. Soto and his team and Id recommend this practice to anyone.

I am a patient of Dr. Sotos. I find that he is a very caring and thorough doctor who listens to you and doesnt just rush you in and out. I have had issues with their phone system. Sometimes I end up talking to people in Sumter who do not seem to pass on messages and at times never receive callbacks. I would like them to have a direct number for the Columbia location. Phone tag is frustrating.

Awful, awful. Dr Soto is a good Dr. But what good is that if you cant get the prescriptions refilled because his staff is so slack that after four phone calls to his office, and by the way, you have to leave a message because they wont talk to you, they still dont call in your prescription. Dont even think of going there if you need medications for your health.

I am a newer pt. But I have seen Dr Soto a couple of times, and I really like him. No problems with the staff so far, but I have learened, atleast for me, that the Dr is what really matters. Good staff is just icing on the cake. Also, staff problems can often be overcome by a proactive pt and honest communication with the physician.

Dr. Pridgen is phenomenal, her nurse staff is great, I always feel properly taken care of. Prescriptions dont always get sent over immediately, Ive had to remind them by phone before, and on three separate occasions Ive been billed for co-pay that I paid at sign in. Both problems were easily fixed with a phone call though.

Dr. Soto is a very knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate doctor. My wife and I both see him on a regular basis and consider him a very good friend as well as our Doctor. We have the utmost confidence in his ability. I would highly recommend him to anyone Rev. John M Bauknight

If you have any test done, they will charge you to get the results. They wont provide you with the results on the phone, they make you come in and pay to get the results. So even if you are perfectly fine...they charge you to tell you that.

I wont be coming back. Theyve been my doctor for about a year and every time I end up in the waiting area for more than an hour. Whats the point of making an appointment if you have to wait 75 minutes for a 5 minute talk with the doc.
