MedExpress Urgent Care is an urgent care facility located at 860 Rostraver Rd, Belle Vernon, PA 15012, USA. The facility has a rating of 1.5 based on customer reviews. It offers medical services for various conditions and emergencies.
Several reviews highlight issues with the medical staff's responsiveness. One patient mentioned that despite having strep throat and needing urgent antibiotics, the medical staff failed to return their calls in a timely manner. Another review mentioned that the staff was inattentive and prescribed strong antibiotics despite the patient's intolerance, leading to adverse effects.
Billing appears to be a significant concern for many patients. One review mentioned a situation where the patient was billed even after being told they wouldn't be. Another patient mentioned that the facility directly debited the entire bill from their bank account without notice, despite having insurance.
The facility's efficiency in handling patients has also been criticized. Reviews mention long wait times, even when the facility is not busy. One patient waited over two hours for a poison ivy treatment, while another mentioned that they were turned away at the door with a tick issue, despite arriving just three minutes after closing time.
There are also issues related to mismanagement and poor record-keeping. One patient mentioned that their TB test records were not properly maintained, leading to complications at their workplace. Another review mentioned that they had to pay twice for an ear infection treatment that the facility initially worsened.
Not all reviews are negative; some patients had positive experiences. One review praised the quick care provided by Dr. Navarro for their grandfather. Another mentioned that they were seen within 45 minutes and were satisfied with the treatment for bronchitis.

I have strep throat. They gave me an antibiotic that cant digest. Azithromycin. Not their fault. They didnt know that I couldnt handle it . So I went Friday. Called twice Saturday to speak to doctor. First call was at 4pm. They took my name, birthday and phone number and said a doctor would call back. 745pm came around no on called me and they close at 8pm. I called back and ask to speak to doctor directly since I already called and that I was told I was going to get a call back. I was put on hold for 5 minutes then for the lady to get back on the phone and tell me that the doctors are to busy shell leave a message but there not going to be able to get back to me till tomorrow. I explain I need an antibiotics I have strep. Once again she apologized and said the same thing someone will call me today. Well, will see if that happens and my strep doesnt get worse because they cant 5 seconds to call me in something else. Definitely unprofessional. Ever customer important even if your busy. Dont waste your time. Go somewhere where they care.

Went to the MedExpress for a large gash on my daughters forehead. When the doctor saw her wound, he said he couldnt do it because she would need to be sedated and would need a plastic surgeon. He said hed make sure we werent billed and told us to go to the closest ER. We went to the quick care at Jefferson Regional and the physicians assistant there stitched her up without needing to sedate her (or a plastic surgeon). I still got a bill from MedExpress and now theyre telling me I owe them because we went past triage (triage didnt even look at her wound) and that they only will refund the charge if you pay up front and they send you to the ER. What a scam! Of course, before I actually received a bill the person at the office I talked with said that if I received a bill that they would erase the bill. But now that I have been billed, they wont erase the bill, saying that the doctor doesnt have anything to say about billing. I feel scammed.

I got my annual TB test there. They gave me my form, and I faxed it to my work. The fax was blurry, so my work called them and asked them to send a new fax. They said I never got a TB test there and my work accused me of lying about it!!!! While Im not sure how they think I could forge the test results patient number and all but now Im being threatened with termination from my job AND I have to get a new TB test (another $30 out the window, which I dont have available to keep spending) in order to POSSIBLY keep my job because Medexpress screwed up on my records. My boss also said I dont think they are the ones that screwed up So now Im in trouble with work because of Medexpress

The medical staff here is very rude and inattentive. I was prescribed antibiotics and I told the doctor that I do not tolerate antibiotics well but he still gave me a stronger one and said that I must take this strong of an antibiotic. I became very sick from the antibiotic and thought that I had to keep taking it. I missed work because of it and they gave me a very hard time about writing me a medical excuse. I can see now why there are negative reviews here and I will not be returning.

Whatever you do, please do not go to medexpress on a weekend & do not give them your debit/credit card. Instead of going through insurance, they, will take the entire bill directly from your bank account without notice. And if you tell them NOT to keep your card information on file, they keep it on file anyways, & they use at at their pleasure. If you phone them to get it straightened out, they just hang up on you. So PLEASE, for your own sake, avoid this place.

Was here on Wednesday and there were quite a few people there. I was seen within 45 minutes from the time I got there. I thought possibly the flu so the doctor ran a flu test but also ran a strep throat test both were negative, and decided to treat me with bronchitis. So glad I went I feel so much better the doctor and nurses were great even after dealing with some cranky patients!

I went on a Monday to have them check my ear for infection and they just flushed it out, basically making it worse. I then went back on a Wednesday with intense pain all throughout my ear, jaw, and head, and they made me pay again in order to get checked out for something that they messed up. Very irritated that I had to pay twice in order to try and fix this problem.

Sat for over 2 hours to be seen for poison ivy. There were 3 people in front of us..ridiculous. they have no idea what the word EXPRESS means. I will never, ever go here again for any reason. If Im going to sit forever I will just go to the local hospital where at least the treatment will be better quality for the amount of time that you sit.

Showed up at the door at 8:03 PM w/ 3 children, ages 9yo, 1 week shy of 2yo, and a 5 month old. Keep in mind it takes some time to unload all the children by one person. My almost yo had a tick head in his armpit. Was turned away and advised to go to the local ER, which had a 3 hr wait. Thanks for no help.
