Dr. Sorensen goes above and beyond, you will not get better care anywhere! Weve had two dogs treated by Dr. Sorensen. The first was a viszla mix who turned out to be a bit of a medical mystery - first being diagnosed with epilepsy, then severe food allergies that caused nasty rashes, then an infiltrative lipoma that not even the specialists we were referred to had seen before. Through it all, Dr. Sorensen always managed to find the cause and recommend the best course of action for our dog. She put him first always and extended his life comfortably and enjoyably beyond what any other vet thought he was capable of. She understands that your pets are your family. When we ended up at the emergency vet with him, she even came down (in the middle of the night) to ensure we were making the right decision in putting him down. Shes currently treating our new puppy and shes so friendly the dog actually LIKES going to the vet! She is very open/transparent about what is required and what isnt for care, listens to all our questions and concerns, and always provides great advice. I think vet-med was definitely a calling for Dr. Sorensen, I truly cant recommend her highly enough. The front staff were also super friendly and efficient in handling our scheduling/check-out and they have a pharmacy in building for any prescriptions which is awesome! EBAH is the place to go for quality pet care!!

I was initially happy with EBAH; however, over the last year or so I have increasingly felt that a visit to EBAH was akin to going to the mechanic-you always leave having done more than you thought was needed and therefore paying much more than you planned. They seem to have a "standard of care" that leaves very little room for flexibility. Instead of talking about options as is customary in human medical appointments, it feels as though they offer only the most thorough (e.g. expensive) option and dont mention alternatives. In addition to this growing annoyance, over the past few weeks I have been on hold for 5-10 minutes on 3-4 occasions before someone from the front desk staff picks up. I have opted to leave a message and get a call back. Personally, I think scheduling an appointment is one of the basics and shouldnt involve long wait times and phone tag. Finally, today I arrived on-time at 9:20 for my dogs scheduled appointment. At 10am, after several reassurances that the vet was just going to be "a few more minutes" I chose to leave. Waiting 40+ minutes to be seen is unacceptable. My time is valuable, I will be looking for a new veterinary clinic.

Just moved to Seattle and had our first appointment at Elliot Bay Animal Hospital. I researched like crazy to find the right place and I am extremely picky, having worked in the veterinary business for 14 years. I couldnt be happier. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, Dr. Brands was extremely thorough, very gentle with our elderly dog and answered my millions of questions. The ultimate decision came from our dog herself. She has always been a very nervous dog and trembles uncontrollably in new situations. She didnt do this once! She was very relaxed and even went up to Dr. Brands and leaned against him to be petted, something she rarely does with someone she has just met. My husband and I feel very happy that we have found the right vet for our dog.

This is by far my favorite animal hospital. I recently moved to Seattle and found Elliott Bay Animal Hospital via Yelp since I live 5 minutes away. I had to take my dog in for an emergency checkup and the staff was able to squeeze me in for an appointment the day of. From my previous experiences, the vet usually diagnoses my dog and suggest some type of recovery treatment. Dr. Moore went above and beyond that! Rather than just focusing on the current problem, she genuinely cares about the well-being of my dog and we had a conversation about a long-term treatment plan so that the same problem wont resurface again. Absolutely love the staff here! They are very reasonably priced and my dog and I couldnt be happier elsewhere.

Dr. Heather Weihl was OUTSTANDING with my Doberman. She spent lots of time with him, was very thorough with her examination, asked me lots of questions and gave me lots of options for treating his variety of issues. She even called me back into the exam room for one more thing after we were already back in the lobby. This says that she is actually interested in helping my dog, not just completing an appointment. When we walked in the door, exam room, etc., everyone actually said, "Welcome to Elliot Bay Animal Hospital" and we really did feel welcome. I wish human doctor offices were like this.

It can take some time to get an appointment, but the care is excellent. Our dog has gotten all his medical care from Elliott Bay, and has boarded with them on 3 occasions. I recommend booking an appointment on their website, unless you have an emergency. Plan at least 2 weeks in advance and you should be able to get the day and time you desire. This is a very busy vet, which is good as they are well respected and have lots of clients. The downside will be the wait, both for the appointment and once you arrive at the hospital.

We found a small growth on the abdomen of our dog and called around but got an appointment only with Park Animal. The staff was good. It is obvious they love animals. Dr. Maxi was our vet; she really took the time to explain all our options, the cost etc. What really impressed me is the level of service. Our dog ended up needing surgery and the staff called the next day to make sure our dog was ok. When they forgot to send home one medication, they didnt charge us for it when we went to pick it up. Just good customer service.

I just wanted to say Thank you to the Staff here. They provided the best experience I could never have expected under the circumstances of why I had to go there a few weeks back. My 15 yr old kitty was having kidney problems so I brought him there on recommendation from a friend and although we had to end up putting my baby to sleep., Me and my kitty were treated with the utmost respect and dignity. I would recommend them to ANYONE! I will be going back to them when I get my next pet.

Ive been going here for 20 years and I am very careful about who treats my pets. I wanted someone who would listen to what I had to say, answer my questions without being patronizing, showed a genunine concern for my dogs and their quality of life, and kept up with the newest practices in veterinary medicine. Dr. Kelly is all that and more. Yes, they cost more than many other veterinary hospitals but they also provide the best care available. Staff also is caring and very competent.

These guys are the best vets Ive found in a lifetime of pet-owning. They are courteous and professional, they always remember my dog and his list of maladies. They give me as much time as I need to answer my questions and discuss whats going on with him. After weve been in to see the vet, she calls later that day, or the next, or a few days later, depending on the problem, to check up on him and see how the treatment is working. I would recommend this animal hospital to anyone.
