Expensive, Dr. King my vet, was shaky, senile and rambling, but worst of all I was treated fairly rudely by the older lady behind the desk that seemed to have difficulty remembering anything. She also pretty much refused to give the friend that refferred me to this waste of time and money a referral credit, could not remember my or my pets name, verbally shoved me to one side when a lady with a huge dog came in and pretty much only showed signs of life when it was time to pay. In addition after paying $100 for a new kitten exam in which Dr. King picked up my cat a couple of times and never used any instruments (yet managed to claim that heart and lungs were good and normal), I was handed a syringe full of worming paste by an assistant almost as an after thought as I was about to walk out the front door (Im guessing pad the bill). No first dose given by a "certified" vet, no visual, no hands on, nithing except a little piece of paper that told me when I needed to come back and dump another wheelbarrow of cash on their feet for pretty much NOTHING. I do NOT have confidence that this animal clinic could help my pet in an emergency or serious illness (except in overcharging me for cut rate over hyped services I will probably have to perform myself). I also did not care for the cavalier attitude EVERYONE seemed to have over shots. It was a, yeah, well guesstimate and you bring her in and well just jab her up, breezy kinda thing. NO Thanks! More money does NOT mean higher quality service, and you woukd think this clinic would be able to afford more than a "possible but I doubt it" $5 referral credit. My CHEAPER human DENTIST offers $50!

Weve been bringing our pets there for about a year and a half. We came to them the first time because our rat was very ill. They treated us with nothing but compassion and empathy when we had to put him down. They allowed us to hold him while they gave him the injections. They treated us just as kindly when his brother passed away a few months later. Theyve also treated our cats extremely well and listened to our concerns about them, whether its related to health or behavior. One of our cats actually enjoyed his visit there because of all the friendly attention he got from the vet and the assistants. While our others werent as thrilled to be there, they were treated with the same compassionate care and attention. One great thing about the vets at Lien is that they arent afraid to talk about cost. Theyre up front with their fees, and theyre willing to listen and work with your financial concerns. They dont take payments, but they will advise the best course of action based on your financial situation. They could have pushed us for an expensive treatment for our cats urinary tract infection, but instead they advised a more cost-effective, conservative course of treatment (which ended up working fine). The clinics schedule is definitely more convenient than other vets as well. The only quibble I have is that a couple of members of the front desk staff can be a little abrupt when checking out, but that has never spoiled the experience for me.

I took my newly adopted adolescent cats in for a well-check and their final set of vaccinations. The staff was friendly, the clinic clean, and they appeared to handle animals well. More on that later. Im not originally from Seattle, and I experienced some serious sticker shock. Their prices seem to be in line for the area, though. The main reason Im not giving the clinic five stars is that they did not let me be present or even observe from a distance when they vaccinated the cats. They take animals into a central area to administer vaccinations. OK, I can see that that might be more efficient, make it easier to keep track of medications, keep things clean, or whatever, but when they took the cats out they pulled the exam room door to, leaving me inside. So I re-opened the door and stood, still inside the exam room, to watch. They told me to go back inside and over to the other side of the exam table (out of the line of sight.) At least they didnt close the door again. Whats up with that? There shouldnt be anything going on that they arent OK with me observing. When I remarked on this to my other pet-owning friends, they didnt see anything unusual about it. Well, it was a first for me in 35 years of taking pets for veterinary care in several major US cities. Long story short, I havent been back.

I very highly recommend Lien Animal Clinic for their expertise, thoroughness, open and prompt communication, love for animals, respect and empathy for families. They are honest and direct about veterinary care priorities and pricing. I make informed decisions without sales pressure nor guilt. Lien has an exceptional network. When our cat, Lilly, needed emergency surgery last year, and Lien was booked, they referred and coordinated care with Seattle Veterinary Specialists (SVS), another excellent establishment. By the time Lilly and I arrived at SVS, Lien had already shared their diagnosis and x-rays. Their smooth coordination made a painful, stressful situation a little easier, pre-and-post-operatively. For this visit, took Lilly, whos five or six, for a non-surgical dental cleaning, which I didnt know was possible. It definitely depends on the cat! This would not have worked with one of our prior felines, who was a "kennel tiger". This visit was reasonably priced and provided necessary information for future dental care. While that will be more costly and will require anasthesia, I feel reassured and able to prepare better. Thank you, again, Lien!

Ive been taking my cats here since we moved to West Seattle three years ago. Every vet in this office seems to be very caring and good with the animals. They never make me feel rushed and always take the time to listen to the concerns I have. Additionally they seem knowledgeable and very capable of explaining what they think is going on and what they need to do with sensitivity to the fact that I want to take care of my animals but cant go broke. Weve been through a couple of emergencies with them as well and have had timely, professional, and personable service with them. Ive never had a hard time getting my cats an appointment for routine care or seen in an emergency. Weve seen several of the vets here and they all seem great! Right now, however, Fiddy is sticking with seeing Dr. Krawble if she had to pick one of them.

Lien is the best veterinary clinic I have ever been to. The vets are wonderful - full of knowledge and always take the time to answer questions. Their prices may be a little higher than the other vets, but there is always time to talk about the cost of treatments before going through with them. Additionally, I had to call their emergency line once. It was about 6 pm on a Saturday. I got through quickly to one of their very own vets (not some sort of service). And, she helped me care for my wounded pet WITHOUT a vet visit. I felt this was certainly above and beyond for calls I have made to other vets in the past. I always recommend Lien for their superb pet care!
