My husband and I have used Steve Perky, Sachse Vet for 21 years. We have watched the practice grow through the years. Dr.Steve Perky has always gone the extra mile to take care of our animals and comfort us when we have lost them. He even sent flowers to me when my 14 1/2 yr. old Maltese passed years ago. I will never forget! We have had many different animals through the years. Camels, Zebras, Swans, Horses, cows. cats, and of course many dogs as we have a great love for dogs. I just took my 2.3lb special needs 8 yr. old Maltese for teeth surgery last week. I was so scared he would not make it. Dr. Perky walked out with him wrapped in a small towel like a baby and handed him to me wide awake. He is a much happier dog today as he can eat without pain. I must admit I miss the old days but I am so grateful Dr. Perky has been successful and has a state of the art medical practice like I have never seen. He has added A&M vets to the practice, like himself. We all know their the best:) Steve and his wife Shelly decorated it and built the hospital Texas Style. It is the most comfortable hospital you will ever visit. They have made it feel warm and inviting for all. The receptionist are polite and very patient when you ask them anything. This is just a great bunch of folks to put in the hands, the life of your animal.

We have been taking our dogs to this Vet for a long time, they are very loving and kind to them and I do like Dr Perky a lot. When our Yellow Lab Jessie broke her leg at 14 1/2 years old they really couldnt do anything for her and the putting her down was a very hard thing to do and watch, we were there to assure her we loved her, I think one of the gals helping had a tear in her eye also. We have a Chocolate Lab now and they have been very good with her, she was having a seizure every so often and they put her on Phenobarbitals and it seems to be doing the trick, the price was not too bad at first getting them but, the first refill was a slap in the head, I guess their supplier went up in price. I thought maybe Obama got his hands in this as well. All in all, I would definitely recommend Sachse Veterinary Hospital for any of your pets all the way up to a big horse. Take care and have a nice day. Jim Ginther

Our family cat of 14 years was diagnosed with renal failure and we had to put him down. While the procedure was done in a sympathic manner. The after math has put our family in a world of hurt. I was told that I could pick up my cats remains the following day after 10am. I called and he was not there, the next day the same, the next day the same-then i was told that the manager will call you back. Manager called me back to explain that we had paid for a community cremation and a private creamation would have cost $100 more, She went on to say that she could see what she could do but we would have to pay the difference. I was both shocked and upset that it all boiled down to a miscommuication between the doctor and receptionist and all they were concerned about was the freakin difference in the payment! We have 6 animals and we will not be going back there!

I have used Sachse Veterinary for 21 years. I have had Zebras, Camels, Swans, Cattle, cats and dogs through the years. Dr. Perky even sent flowers to me after my beloved Maltese died at 14 1/2 yrs. Dr. Perky makes country calls when we need him. He has a great staff that will answer any questions they can. I spent 30 minutes on the phone yesterday with Christy about one of my dogs. She was patient and answered all my questions. They have a new state of the art building, that was built out of passion and with a Texas design. I have had great experience with the entire team. I even bought a lab from Dr. Perky, He is about 14 now and still happy as a pup. I would recommend this group of Professionals, They truly care about your animals and you. RIP Dr. Shelly Hemphill, Prancer and I miss you.

Hi my name is Connie, I moved to Sachse, Texas in 2001. At that time i had a dog named Waldo. He was crippled in his back legs and was in a wheel chair. I was desperate to find a good veterinary hospital and a friend recommend Sacshe Vet and what a God sent they were for myself and Waldo. They where so caring and attentive to Waldo it was amazing. When he passed in 2008 they were so great to me and told me it was ok to grieve for him. They helped me get to the point that I could adopt a new dog his name is Trent. Glory is a wonderful groomer and is always so caring and gentle. The vets and the staff or warm and caring animal people no matter what the breed. Sachse Vet to me is a 10 star animal hospital and i would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. Sincerely, Connie

We recently moved from FL to Wylie. Prior to moving our dog had a small mass on her tummy. Because of the transition from between states we got so caught up, that the mass started to grow out of control. Saches Vet Hospital was there to literally save our dogs life. As soon a I discovered how out of control the mass had got, they opened up their doora for us to have oir dog chexked out right away. Dr. Lay saw her, and he is amazing! He was very gentle with her, and very honest with us (no sugar coating, just facts). He also didnt put off the necessary measures in order to save our dogs life. I am very grateful for all of the staff here!! They are all very nice, and because of this place our Princess is still alive. I highly recommend them if you a looking for your next vet!!!

Dr. Pirkey spent a lot of time examining my new puppy and answering my many questions. He was patient and very interactive, much different than most people doctors! I did not feel rushed at all. They were very open to me administering the regular vaccines (excepts Rabies which must be done by a vet). I may or may not do the vaccines myself but I was pleased that they were open to that and spoke with me honestly about what vaccines were needed at the different intervals. Bottom line, they were not threatened at all which speaks volumes to me about their values. We will be back here with our puppy for sure!

I was very disappointed with my visit at Sachse Veterinary Hospital. I came with my cat who had health problems and was also in need of vaccination.... an hour and a half later his health issues were not solved, he did not get his vaccination (as the vet was afraid to touch my cat) and I was short $50. My cat is 11 years old and I have never had to seduce him in order to have his vaccination done .... I was also very disappointed that it took 45 minutes from me to see the vet (even with the appointment set up) ... they also took their sweetest time after the appointment to check out and get the payment ....
