It was my first time visiting Familia Dental offices, located at 6430 Green Bay Rd, Kenosha, WI 53142. The Doctor who saw me that day was, Dr. Arsalan Augend. His initial assessment called for a return appointment for a root canal, perhaps some two weeks later. However, after the Doctor look at my x-ray he quickly noted that the tooth was on the verge of abscessing and the root canal could not wait. Doctor Augend and his assistant skillfully began the root canal procedure. Doctor Augend and His Female Assistant, sorry I forgot her name, but the two worked me into their days work load without any noticeable signs of the challenge such a demanding procedure as mine would have. I was surprised when it was all over, that there was no visible signs of the gaping hole that had taken over my tooth. You see I had become accustomed to poor dental care in the past, being an ex-patient of the Once Only Dental Monopoly in Kenosha Wisconsin. My past dental experiences lead me to believe that cleanings was not covered with the Forward Health Insurance, you had to come in before 6:30 a.m. to wait in line for a Dentist at the Once Then Dental Monopoly in Kenosha to see you if you had an emergency, and once you got there they would pick some random number less than all those who were waiting in line to be seen, I saw patients begging for dental treatment but was turned away at the Dental Monopoly, and patients like me were routinely placed on a waiting list but was never called in for treatment at the Once Then Dental Monopoly. I even became alarmed when I meet five Woman without teeth around Kenosha, Woman like my mother who dreamt dreams of one day getting their dentures. I waited 18 long months, for chewing relief and I had even learned through prayer how to keep the pain away. I mean an abscess, please, they happen all the time, why they are so common to me. The only reason why gums were somewhat swollen at the time of my appointment was because I hadnt had a chance to work on them the week before I went to the dentist office. I did schedule myself for the self extraction, because I thought that public assisted insurance was really crappie, but the good Lord had my daughter to advise me to have someone look at my tooth, Mom she said "Its getting worse". After the procedure with Dr. Augend and His Assistant, he asked me if I had any questions for him, and my question seemed incredulous even to me because I hadnt learn yet how to see life without a temporary filling. 1. Is the filling going to come out, if I eat on that side? 2. Can I floss on that side, without the filling coming out? Why at Familia Dental, they even gave me a return appointment to put in a crown, and I thought that the State of Wisconsin would not pay for such a procedure only extractions. Lastly, I have only one criticism for Dr. Augend and His Assistant. He gave me pain medicine for the pain he said, "I might have". Well, Dr. Augend, its been three hours now, and still no pain. I Just want to welcome you Dr. Augend and your Dental Office to Kenosha, and I thank you and Your Assistant for the wonderful job you did with restoring my tooth and maintaining my smile. IM WRITING THIS RIGHT AWAY BECAUSE THE AWSOME DENTIST DR.WHITE AND HIS BEUTIFUL ASSISTANT ARIEL ..AND HES A HANDSOME GUY TOO LETS NOT LEAVE HIM OUT....THEY KNEW I HAVE SERIOUS DENTAL PHOBIA REGARDING CARE I HAD RECEIVED YEARS OF DIFFERENT DENTISTS WELL...LET ME TELL YOU THIS PLACE IS THE MOST PROFESSIONAL AND CARING I HAVE EVER BEEN TO ...BELIEVE ME IF THEY COULD DEAL WITH ME ANYONE CAN BE HELPED HERE AND I WAS NOT IN ANY PAIN WHAT SO EVER YOU JUST LET THEM KNOW THEY WILL TAKE CARE OF YOUR NEEDS IT WAS HOT IN THERE AND ITS NOT GOOD ENVIRONMENT FOR PEOPLE IT NEEDS BE COOLER AND THEY EVEN OPENED DOORS SO I COULD BREATHE THE BEUTIFUL MANAGEMENT LADY DID THIS...MAYBE THEY NEED TO KEEP COOLER IT HELPED CALM MY NERVES ...THEY WERE SO UNDERSTANDING AND ACTUALLY MADE SURE MY BLOOD PRESSURE WAS NOT TOO HIGH DUE MY PHOBIA .I HAVE ALREADY TOLD 3 OF MY FRIENDS WHO WILL BE GOING THERE ...I WAS NOT THE PERFECT PATIENT THAT IM AWARE OF AND IF THEY CAN HANDLE ME THEY CAN DO ANYONE ..SEE CAREGIVERS AND PEOPLE WHO WORK IN THESE FEILDS ARE NOT GOOD PATIENTS SEE THEY TRULY DIDNT KNOW ALL MY REASONS FOR COMING BUT THEY WILL SOON BECAUSE MORE WILL BE GOING ONCE I EXPLAIN MY VIP TREATMENT. .THANK ALL THOSE WHO WERE KIND TO ME I APPRECIATE IT MORE THAN U KNOW ...SEE YOU SOON ...SEE I WANT LOOK BEUTIFUL TOO SO ONCE MY TEETH ARE DONE HERE I WILL ....AMEN FOR YOUR HARD WORK ✌

Familia Dental was able to give me an appointment in just 3 days, which is hard to imagine for a dental clinic. The front desk operatives were very kind and welcoming, they answered all my questions respectably and during the day of my appointment I didnt need to wait very long like most dental clinics. Once meeting with Mrs Ariel the lead Dental assistant she had asked me very detail information about my history and was very knowledgeable with answering the multiple questions I had. Mrs Ariel worked together with Dr. Mahmood who was very detailed and diligent with providing me with the oral care I needed. The process took longer than I expected which made me glad because I could tell they both cared about my condition very much. After the procedure was completed, Mrs Ariel seemed very interested in answering all my questions and gave me information on how to prevent certain oral conditions. Overall the staff was very experienced and it was clear to me that everyone there in Familia dental enjoyed working with patients and providing the best service for them. I would highly recommend Familia Dental located in Kenosha WI

I had a hard time finding a dentistry that accepts state insurance that was actually good service, until I heard about Familia Dental! Its a 45min drive one-way but I figured Id give it a shot bc I need work done. This is not your typical dentistry! They have a small play area for kids, bright colorful walls, a LARGE waiting room, tvs in every section when youre in back getting your work done, and they accept a variety of insurances, again including state insurance. If my daughter wasnt already in the process of having work done, Id def bring her here without hesitation! The staff is awesome, especially DA Evaly! She was nice, professional, answered every question I had (and I asked a lot), just a complete 180 from the last dental associate I had to "deal" with at Mitchell Street Dentistry (stay away from them!). And Dr White as well. He was able on the spot to fix some over-filled fillings I had gotten from the dreaded Mitchel St Dentistry. He too answered all my questions, explained everything in detail and was completely genuine. I, for once, can not wait to go back to the dentist, thanks to Evaly & Dr White!

The experience I had here was amazing compared to the familia in racine! I rather drive 30 mins out of my way to make my daughter comfortable! The assistant Victoria was so amazing! Showed my 4 year old everything so she felt good about being there. The one in racine really needs to learn how to make kids feel comfortable! And shellby who helpped snap the photos of the x-rays she was so kind also! My daughter was pretty nervous about the doctor because of her experience with the racine one! But Victoria was right by her side saying it will be okay while dr white was counting her teeth, he was great too!!! Id recommend this one to anyone! The one in racine didnt show my daughter any tools didnt make her feel comfortable , kept tellimg her if she doesnt listen and open her mouth they were going to send me out! (Mom). I litterally got up and said Ive had enough ! And walked out! Who does that to a 4 year old!!!. They should just get rid of racine familia dental !
