Dr. Aust and the staff at Modern Family Dentists are amazing. My boyfriend had an infection and needed an emergency extraction. We are new to the area and didnt have a dentist. Realizing you need an emergency appointment at 11:15 am, when most dentists who DO have Saturday hours close at noon, can be challenging. Luckily I was able to find Modern Family, who have very flexible evening and weekend hours. I called and spoke to Jamie, who was extremely helpful and understanding. I explained the situation to her and she told me shed call back. In a very short time I got a return phone call and Jamie let me know that Dr. Aust was willing to stay late to see Tim. When we arrived at the office, I was pleasantly surprised by the waiting area. There are comfortable couches, a tv and a refrigerator with complimentary drinks. Jamie offered us a pillow, blankets and since we were that last patients of the day, gave us the remote for the tv. The office also provides wi-fi while you wait. Dr. Aust was amazing. He discussed what was going on, asked what our goals were for the visit and after a quick exam explained the options. He checked us out while Tim was numbing and we never once felt rushed, even though he was at the office an additional 2 hours today. Dr. Aust was the first dentist who didnt cause Tim pain. He quickly performed the extraction, explained direction for car and we were on our way. We have definitely found our dentist. The staff and Dr. Aust are welcoming and make you feel like welcome guests. I highly recommend them.

I hated going to the dentist for over 30 years - Modern Family Dentists completely changed my point of view. Both Dr. Austs are spectacular: intelligent, gentle, accommodating and, most importantly for me, they prioritize a pain-free dental experience. The staff theyve hired are competent and friendly across the board. But the facet of their practice which astounded me the most is that it is the best-administrated business Ive ever dealt with, especially in the medical field. Ive not once had a problem with insurance or payments or an issue with my appointment that wasnt handled immediately and efficiently. Quite frankly, Im amazed to be writing a review of a dental practice and have zero complaints to report. If you need a new dentist, theres no better choice in Kenosha than Modern Family Dentists, LLC.

Do NOT trust anyone here!! He said my son (16 years old, a first time patient) had 8 cavities, wanted to give him a crown and a night guard. I will admit he does need the night guard. All of this would cost me over $5000.00! I am a single mom who couldnt afford this and felt bad that I could not give him the treatment that he needed. Everyone at the office kept pressuring me to finance it at 18% since he needs this done. Since his teeth were hurting he went in for Dr Aust to look at and wouldnt do anything for him. I then took him to 3, dentists, 2 dentists and an orthodontist ALL OF THEM said he has ZERO cavities!! The only thing they would recommend is the night guard. BEWARE, this guy is a good talker. I cant believe he would put a child though that much dental work that he doesnt need.

Im a professional dental patient - because of what I attribute to bad genes (thanks, dad), Ive had a ton of work done on my teeth by a countless number of dentists over the years. That said, I know my dentists. Dr. Aust is fantastic! (Actually, both Dr. Austs are, but for the sake of this review, Ill just mainly refer to Dr. Mike Aust since hes done most of the work on my teeth.) He has an excellent, relaxed bedside (chairside?) manner to put you at ease and hes more than happy to go into as much detail as you can manage to process regarding your treatment options. In addition, and perhaps most importantly, Dr. Aust takes great pride in his work and keeps on top of cutting edge research and technologies. I couldnt recommend a practitioner more highly.

Ive been to many dentists over the years, and I know that the dentists I went to for the past 5 years have not been cleaning my teeth thoroughly enough. I recently had my first visit to Modern Family Dentists, and I was definitely impressed. Dr. Aust was not only an expert in his chosen field, he actually took the time to educate me on functionality and trivia. I could have listened to his info for far longer than my time allowed. This is not a corporate Dental office that nickle and dimes you. I know a fair amount about what I needed, and the suggestions given ranged from practical to the most expensive, but there were options and honesty. I cant recommend Modern Family Dentists enough.

I was referred to Dr Mike and I drove over 4 hours to have him take care of some major issues I was having with my teeth. I went to a clinic where I live and felt like I was not given the straight truth, best options and care for my situation. Modern Family Dental got me in right away, was AMAZING when I showed up for my appointment and took care of me in a way that is hard to find these days... Honest, Knowledgeable, and a Dr who cares about the people he works on. I have not been this impressed in years. Dr Mike was Great to deal with fun to talk with and has made a life long client. I would recommend this office to anyone in or out of the area !!

I am always a bit nervous going to the dentist. I was starting to feel pain and had Dr. Aust take a look. He showed me on x-rays and other photos cavities that were missed by my previous dentist despite routine check-ups and they were quite large. I had never had a filling done before and was especially frightened by the numbing process. Dr. Aust was great at talking me through the injection and keeping me calm, I felt no pain. He explains all diagnosis in great detail in order to help anyone understand and that made me feel a lot better as well.

The first time I called Modern Family Dentists, I asked if the dentist was nice and understanding about fearful dental patients. The receptionist assured me that he was so, I booked my first appointment. Since the first visit, I have felt that the entire team understood my fears and they worked to find the best approach with me to accomplish my dental needs. I had been to previous dentists who got frustrated and annoyed at fearful adults and I didnt think there was another option...until Dr. Aust. I highly recommend Modern Family Dentists.

My wife and I were extremely impressed by our experience with MFD and Dr. Aust. The whole staff was very professional, but also personal and accommodating to our needs. I was surprised by how careful Dr Aust was and how much time he took to examine me and talk to me about my teeth and answer all my questions. He was very helpful, very knowledgeable but not pushy at all. We highly recommend MDF to anyone looking for dental care.
