My favorite veternarian practice; Im sticking with this one. They dont make me feel like a heel because my big male cat weights 19 pounds. I always schedule my three cats for their wellness exams in the morning and have never had to wait (much appreciated when your feline has howled in the car all the way there). They are very understanding of things including from the cats side; so they let my three cats hide their heads in my elbow as much as possible. My cats somehow believe that if they cant see the vet, they are not AT the vet. They also did an amazing surgery to remove an abscessed tooth on a very old cat I had. I didnt expect him to survive the anesthesia but his heart never missed a beat and he was back to his old self when I picked him up. Very happy with them!!!!!! Definitely would recommend.

My husband and I have taken all my dogs to Dunkirk Animal Hospital from the time it opened! We have had 4 dogs pass away over the last 20 years and Harold Schmeiser, Carey Goehle, and all the vets affiliated with Dunkirk Animal Hospital are the BEST! They are very aware of the importance of pets in your life and when the time comes when you have to make the awful decision- they stand by and help you thru the process. We now have 2 yellow lab sisters soon to be 2 on September 25th and I would not take them anywhere else. Kudos to the staff and all the vets at Dunkirk Animal Hospital- We are lucky to have this facility in Calvert County!l

I live in Largo Maryland and I pass several Vet offices to go the Dunkirk. I knew Dr. Schmeiser from another vet clinic and followed him to Dunkirk. I have been taking my dogs to Dunkirk for over 30 years; Chee Chee lived to be 19, Jesse lived to be 16 and Taylor is 16 years old. I contribute their longevity to the excellent vet care they received at Dunkirk. The staff and the vets are very good and I like that they have boarding, which I have used and like. The boarding is especially useful now that Taylor is older and have health issues.

They truly are a 5 star veterinary hospital! This was our first visit and we were doing a follow-up to emergency care from another vet hospital. My dog was scared when we got there but was wagging his tail and allowing Dr. Goehle to pet him before long. Both the Dr and the vet tech took their time getting to know me and my dog before doing any treatment. Other reviews were right, it really does have that family doctor feel. We found our new vet!

For many years, we & our pets have had the luxury of not only excellent care, but of excellent and genuine Caring. No one at Dunkirk Animal Hospital is Ever impersonal. They also Always take the time to comfort us each time they have had to help us to say goodbye~~they KNOW that it never gets any easier, no matter how many times it is necessary. At other times, it is FUN to get a Birthday greeting for our little ones! Theyre the Best!!

I have taken all of my dogs to Dunkirk Animal Hospital for several years and I am always happy with the environment, experience and staff. I recently had a dental done on my 10 year old Papillon who only weighs 4.5 pounds and has a liver issue. I was absolutely confident in the vet and vet tech to make sure my Papillon would be fine. She was and I had her home early that afternoon. Cannot recommend this veterinary clinic highly enough.

I have been coming here for 17 years and wouldnt take my Boxers anywhere else. Dr. Carey Goehle is absolutely the BEST! He takes the time to get to know you and your pets and doesnt rush you through appointments. Hes always willing to explain everything and offer alternative possibilities. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my dogs. He is a wonderful person, the world needs more people like him.

Dr. Carey Goehle is the most compassionate and trustworthy vet I have ever met. I will never take my vet anywhere else. He will take the time to explain everything and is very knowledgeable. Because of him, every vet experience is 5/5 because he loves my pets as much as I do.

We love the staff at D.A.H. All are courteous and knowledgeable. We have had many pets over the years and all have gone to DAH. Including a mastiff mix who had to have 2 hind leg knee surgeries at 3 years old, a year later she is now back to her "old" rambunctious self!

Dr. Goehle recently added Dr. Jeff Phillips to his team of doctors and my short experiences with Dunkirk Animal Hospital have been excellent. Everyone is so professional and their whole system is wonderful. I fool lowed Dr. Phillips to Dunkirk and I am so glad I did.
