I have been going to this clinic for a few years. For the most part the vets are good. Yesterday (Wed) I called in the morning to see if they had an opening for that day or Fri. My dog was in obvious discomfort from an anal gland issue. Since we are traveling next month and both the dogs need their shots I just took both in so I would not have to pay 2 office visits. No, they had no openings. The person I was talking to, and I did not ask her to repeat her name as she said it very fast and I did not catch it, said I will give you our walk in hours. She was hesitant. I know that when you walk-in with out an appointment you will wait. I have no problem with that. I have done that once before. By the way, I never just walk in for shots or nail trims. I always make an appointment for that. When I got there the front desk person said there are 2 walk-ins ahead of you, it will be a while. Just from the tone of her voice ( I was bothering her) I should have known this was not going to end well. I was there an hour and 30 minutes before one of the techs said " As soon as the big room is open we will get you in. We can not put 2 big dogs in the small rooms." Ok. There were a few small dogs that were put in there while I was waiting. Then at one hour 45 minutes the front desk person came to me and said "Do you just want to make an appointment, it is still going to be a while" First, the tone she spoke to me was she did not want me there. No reason for that. Neither me or my dogs have ever caused any problems there. Second, there was 1 other person in the waiting room. I have spent what to me is a significant amount of money in that clinic. I deserve more respect than that. I left and went to another clinic who was also busy but got us in with in 15 minutes. I will never go back to that clinic. Sitting there, invisible to them for that long was extremely disrespectful. I will be sure to tell my friends and anybody else who asks to NOT go to those disrespectful people. I guess you have to be one of their favorite clients in order to get any kind of fast, courteous help.

I love the vets at Lake Dow. I have one time or another seen all 3 vets. They were always caring, gentle with me and my Daisy. I saw Dr Hill the most. When it came time to let Daisy go they were patience itself. Even though they were short a vet due to illness and very busy. I had to move but I still drove over an hour from the northside of Atlanta to take Daisy. I will say that before I ever took my dog there I interviewed the vet (It was Dr. Hill) to see if we were on the same page as far as Daisys care and my finances were concerned. She was more than willing to take the time to do so. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The only thing I can say about the negative reviews is you get out of an experience what you put into it.

I seen Sandy McNamara post and I lost it! Sandy this is one of the best vets you can get! The best thing that ever happened was Marissa Craig left the place at the Kroger area.. We followed her to Lake Dow Animal Hospital. If you walk into any place without an appointment your going to wait however the wait is well worth it for the care you are given not to mention the price $. I really cant believe the negativity you posted! Lake Dow Animal Hospital has treated and taken care of my current 3 babys and the past 3 that I have had to make the choice of putting them down do to age or disease. The staff was there for my wife and I when we had to make that hard decision of life or death and shedding the same tears!

I absolutely love Dr Craig and her staff. They provide my 4 babies with extraordinary care. Their knowledge and bed side manner are always superb. Not to mention the prices are always great. They keep you informed about care and cost as it is taking place. I highly recommend Lake Dow Animal Hospital.

The best vets and staff are here. Always helpful and kind. The receptionists are wonderful. Dr. Hill, Dr. Carver, Julie, Mark and all the other staff are the best. Even with some of my uncooperative angels, they know how to handle them in a very gentle, reassuring way. Thank you to the whole team.

Very professional, very caring, and very reasonable. I have a dog that had heart worms which a friend gave me that was abandoned and for the care that he needed to recover was given and my dog is doing great! A big shout out to the staff and vets..you do care about peoples finances and their pets)

Dr. Craig is an excellent vet. The vet tech Mark is amazing, hes a dog and cat whisperer as far as Im concerned. Also vey tech Julie is very professional and amazing with the animals. Receptionist Christina is very welcoming and professional.Theyre all amazing there and have great prices.

I had a wonderful experience at the Lake Dow Animal Hospital. The staff was great, the never tried yo upsell anything to me and they were alway curteous. I do not know about Jippsies experience but sometimes there is no pleasing some people.

I have not had any issues with communication with this facility and have had a positive experience with every visit. Sounds like a couple of people with no patients and do not ask the proper questions to stay informed have had issues.

We have great respect for Dr Craig as a vet. She and her associates brought our little dog through two separate snake bite incidents and then gave him several extra years after congestive heart disease. This is a super vet office.

This is a great clinic with a very caring staff who love their jobs! They have always treated our pets with the love and done everything to keep them in their best shape! They are a busy clinic, but they are worth the wait!
