I brought my puppy in for occasional limping. I was not presented with an estimate before x-rays being taken. When I asked how much it would cost I was told they werent sure. Dr. McLean diagnosed my puppy with a broken leg and initially wasnt going to do anything but send us home. I was concerned that she would break it again so the vet put a splint on her leg. I was told I had to pay extra to send the x-rays to a radiologist and in a few days the report came in that she had a broken wrist and it wasnt healing as fast as it should for a puppy so she needed surgery. Dr. McLean referred me to a specialist and explained to me in great detail that the surgery would involve taking bone marrow from her healthy leg to be put in the broken leg along with a metal bar. At this time I requested that she do another x-ray to determine if any healing had occurred in the splint but she said absolutely not. Ultimately the specialist took more x-rays and determined that her leg wasnt broken and had never been broken. Several days later the radiology report verified this information. Everyone makes mistakes but its important to acknowledge them and correct them. I requested a refund and was very rudely denied. Cypress Creek Animal Hospital is one of the most expensive Veterinarians in Pasco county but dont be fooled because more money does not mean better care. Dr. McLean is very cold and has a horrendous bedside manner. My opinion is that shes only in this profession for the money, not because she is an animal lover.

Find another veterinarian.. Not very knowledgeable, and lack alternative treatments. I brought my 9 year old Jack Russell in with a skin ailment. I explained, in detail, that I had concerns with the medicines that are predominately used for heart worms & fleas these days, and was seeking alternative treatments. My concerns are based off industry knowledge of specific active ingredients being used in medicines. These medicines are being put on the market without, extensive, long term, research. First, I was challenged by the nurse and the doctor that the current medicines were safe and had caused no harm to animals. Specifically, the drug "Trifexis", which is all the Head Vet, Marcus Ressler, was wanting to give my dog. All I can say,,, is do your research on Trifexis,,,, very alarming information out there.... Bottom line,,, find a more seasoned vet.. Cypress Creek, seems more concerned about pushing a product, then finding the best treatments for you animal.

We recently moved to the area and luckily moved into a home right down the road from the clinic. I had to take my dog there and they were great! The receptionist was courteous, not extremely friendly, but courteous. The doctor and nurse though, were amazing! They were very understanding of our financial restrictions and even made recommendations for products that were less expensive. The next day the doctor even called to check on her! Im completely hooked on this vet!

We cant thank Dr. Wilson and Dr. Ressler enough for the love and attention they gave to our Lexus and LeeRoy as they ended their life in Florida. We had a hometown vet we absolutely loved in NC and now we have the same here in FL. Thank you for all you do - Great staff, great service. If you want someone who cares for your pet as much as you do, Cypress Creek is the place to go.

I have been so impressed with the staff at Cypress Creek as well as with the care that Dr. Thivierge has given my sick dog. He is compassionate and caring with her. He even calls to check on her. Because of his expertise, he is helping Coco get better. I have been to many vets--here in Florida and elsewhere--but I would say he is one of the best.

Ms. Connie from the DMV has relocated here in Florida and has a wonderful dog grooming shop in Wesley Chapel right next to Cypress Creek Animal Hospital that I personally painted. You will get nothing but smiles and good service and the simple comfort of knowing your pet is in good hands.

We really only see them once a year for shots but every time we go the doctors and employees are extremely nice. And I never felt like I am being pushed into buying services my dog doesnt need.
