This is my first negative review ever. Ive always been one to offer praise and accolades for a job well done. However, this situation was handled so poorly that I had to speak out. This store LOST my daughters $600.00 duplicate glasses that were supposed to be overnighted to another location only 2 1/2 hours away. They also neglected to take a record of the tracking number so they cant even be located. She is away at college attending summer classes and needed a replacement for the glasses she had purchased from them just a few months earlier. She has no other way to see and was desperately awaiting delivery. It was a critical rush order for which I had to even repurchase the frames online from a different vendor because Visionworks no longer carried them. The whole process took almost 2 weeks for them to order in her complex lenses and place into the Kate Spade frames I provided them. All they had to do was transfer to their sister location for her to pick up. Not only did they not arrive the next day, it is now a WEEK later and they have yet to appear. I had been extremely patient and understanding until it became evident these glasses were clearly lost. The "general manager", Taylor, was very patronizing and condescending.. Rather than taking responsibility for their gross error and making things right, she continued to repeat what she would NOT do and refused to give me her supervisors name/number. She said I was welcome to call the 800 number. We have done business with this company for years. Under the circumstances, from a customer service perspective I would have offered a refund and remanufactured another pair. This manager refused to do anything of the sort. Ive now requested a refund and we will never do business with this company again. **UPDATE** My daughters glasses finally surfaced at their destination in Tyler, TX. As stated previously, Im a firm believer in giving recognition for a job well done. I would like to thank both Hilario and Marlena at the Tyler location, for reaching out to their District Manager, Teshlan, to "right" the situation. She offered to have my daughter pick up her glasses free of charge. That is the definition of exemplary customer service that many companies are missing the mark on these days. I am a very reasonable person who understands we all make mistakes. From a customer service perspective, its simply about owning up and taking responsibility for them. I would hope that some of their other employees would learn from this fiasco. Its unfortunate that this ever had to be escalated to this degree. It should have been handled in an appropriate manner by the manager where we originally made our purchase. Treat your customers with respect and appreciation if you want to keep them as customers. Great job, Teshlan! Although I will not ever return to the Grapevine location, I will now continue to do business with Visionworks.

Zach was rude. and wanted to sell me glasses at all cost. I had my eyes dilated and I told him I had to come back because my eyes were very sensitive to the light, therefore I could not try on frames at the moment. He got an attitude and said " well I have to cancel everything now. Thats why She (another rep from Vision works) asked you if you were getting glasses. I now started to get pissed as the way he was talking to me, I told him that I was getting some glasses, just not at that moment. He was very upset about it. I asked what he meant he had to cancel everything?? He just said well let me try to get in touch with your insurance and it would be like 20minutes. I said OKAY! I will wait. I always go to Vision Works at Wolchase or the one on Winchester by 385i and I never had an issue. Wont come back to the Vision Works ever again.

I had been a customer on another optical place for years. I was told by one of my friends about a great place in grapevine with good service I am happy to say I’d the best most satisfying excellent service at this store everyone with a smile so willing to answer all my questions so friendly with my children. I will be going there every year from now to get new glasses for the family. I was happy how the manager at that optical was so patient with my son showing him frames after frames my son is 10yrs old and to be honest no kid like to wear glasses at that age she convinced my son that he would be cool no matter what his school mates will say to him I felt she was going that extra mile for my son …THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!

I went to my sons 6 month ophthalmologist appointment today only to find out that the lenses I had filled at VisionWorks 6 months ago were completely wrong. No wonder he has been having headaches and having a hard time focusing on his work at school! I asked to have these lenses replaced for free, and they said that was not going to happen since it was longer than 60 days from the date they were filled. Im sure that was buried in some promotion, and the staff were nice, but it is frustrating that my autistic son has been struggling more than he had to because of this mistake. Update since the above post: After a call from my feisty ophthalmologist, our lenses are being replaced. Thank you.

The Vision Works on Ridgeway is terrible!! All they want to do is sell you the highest frames and refuse to assist customers after your purchase. I went there and had an exam. They dont sell Ray-Bans, so they tried to sell me the highest lenses. When i refused the tech immediately become defensive. Later when I tried to call back in for exam questions, the sales rep make it impossbile to speak with the doctor. Its like they only want you to speak to sales reps. PLEASE BE ADVISE! This Vision Works is the worst in Memphis. If you dont want to be treated terribly, take your business elsewhere. You will thank me for this advice later!!!

I was so excited to see the negative reviews that I just had to chime in. These people suck sooooo bad. My last prescription hurt me so bad that I went back to my 4 year old pair and have not turned back. This was the SECOND time they have given me lenses that just plain suck - telling me that I will eventually get used to it. No thanks - would rather just get something that doesnt make me want to quit living. Please stop shopping here so they can go on out of business and quit stealing money and hurting people. Always trying to up-sell, never able to comprehend - I WANT WHAT INSURANCE COVERS.

They charge you for 2 pairs of glasses and they say its a "buy one get one", then when you get there to pick them up, youre only getting 1 pair and it isnt even the pair you order. Then they want to argue and say that your wrong and make a mockery of you, and when you happen to order a pair for your daughter, and then want to just refund all of the transactions, they say youre punishing her. I ask you, I ask you, is this the kinda company that you would want to buy your glasses from? Im in another state, I didnt know where to go, so I trusted them, and now Ive learned my lesson the hard way.
