I went here for a LASIK consult because they told me on the phone is cost $1600 total. I got there and had to deal with staff who acted like they hated their jobs and were not very friendly. The doctor who did my exam has poor oral hygiene and that is pretty nasty when they are less than a foot from your face and talking to you. They made me watch a 10 minute video which showed how if you go for the cheap $1600 surgery, they will be using something that looks like a cigar cutter to open your eye. That is how they scare you into upgrading to the $3600 surgery. They lied to me about several questions I asked. Later I found out from the internet and other doctors that the reason they lied was so that I would be scared into the $3600 surgery. I ended up going on one of their competitors and the staff was amazing, procedure went great and there were no hidden fees or marketing schemes to get me to pay more and the best part is that it was $300 cheaper. Why would I want rude people with poor hygiene helping to perform a surgery on something that could potentially destroy my vision for life? Thank god I didnt go to these guys and you shouldnt either.

Dr Feezel is the best optometrist I have ever had and I have been in glasses since age 7, contacts since age 12. During my eye exam, she was thorough and took the time to make sure she was giving me the right prescription. She explained any concerns she had about my vision and then went the extra mile to make sure that my eyes were in top notch health. She genuinely shows she cares about her patients- even entertaining my fussy 1 and a half year old! And if I even doubted that genuineness for a moment- she goes even further. Staying late on a Friday evening to wait for me to arrive (for an unscheduled check of the contact fitting..which I was not even remotely expecting)..just so I wouldnt have to come back in again. Dr Feezel is truly a wonderful doctor and I highly recommend her! And the staff? Just as accommodating and kind hearted. 5+ stars

I just had Lasik surgery at Clarkson Eycare this Jan (2011). I will start by saying that my surgery seems to be a complete success. I am seeing very clearly and have minimal halos at night. What I do want to point out is that the patient care at Clarkson is horrendous. They did not make it clear how little I should keep my eyes open after surgery and before I got home and into bed. So I apparently dried out my eyes too much and was in EXTREME pain. When I called them, they could of cared less about my situation and only wanted to blame me for my pain. They were more concerned about the surgeons schedule than what I was going through. I was very upset and scared, these are my eyes for gosh sake!

Love Dr. Walk! She is personable and fun. She explains things in ways that either myself or my child can understand. She even took the time to tell my 7 yr old what he needs to do about wearing glasses instead of talking to me and having me relay it. He was the patient and she treated him as such!

My son has the best experience here. The staff are very patient with his thousand curious questions, and great when he isnt always the most cooperative. The doctor is just as amazing and patient. He no longer fears going to the eye dr. for his yearly exams,which is a huge win for us.

Im not sure when the staff and/or policies changes over, but now they are rude and dismissive. I got LASIK with them 4 years ago and I was so happy with everyone. Now, I just made and cancelled an appointment same day and will be going to a new doctor.
