I had an appointment scheduled for today, June 2nd, at the North Bethesda location. I had spoke to a woman in the Columbia call center three times prior to arriving at my appointment. I experienced some trouble with the call center. The woman I spoke with first said that the appointment was at 9:30am, then she said that the appointment was actual at 10:30am, she then said she would email over forms to fill out. Immediately following our phone call I received a text message with my appointment date and time (6/2/2016 at 10:30am). No forms were emailed. I called again the next day and she successfully sent the forms over then confirmed that my appointment was for Thursday June 2nd at 10:30am. I arrive this morning at NAVA for my appointment at 10:15am leaving time for paperwork. When I check in I was informed that my appointment was actually at 9:50am. It is not as much that the times were switched and there was human error, because that happens to everyone it is how the front desk staff at NAVA Health in North Bethesda treated me. They acted as if I was lying that I was told the wrong time, they did little to try to rectify the situation, they said they were going to try not charge me for this even though it was their error. I even brought them back a copy of the original texted message saying that my appointment time was in fact at 10:30am and they insincerely apologized for their mistake. The most disappointing part of this mornings experience was how I was treated by their staff. If I felt that they were sincerely going to try to fix the situation to the best of their ability I would have re-scheduled my appointment and knocked it up to a time mix up. However, Im left feeling disappointed and saddened by how I was treated by their staff. Overall, a truly negative first experience.

Overall, my experience has been great. I go to see my acupuncturist, Hena Shomali. I love her knowledge and needling techniques. I barely feel the needles going in. I used to see her when she worked at Shady Grove Fertility and followed over to Nava. Shes well versed in how to treat all of her patients with any aliment. Currently, shes helping me prepare for an IVF cycle and while treating my anxiety and ADHD. I cannot take any meds to help with the ADHD bc of IVF. So, her treatments really make a difference. I leave there feeling relaxed and focused. Also, I particularly love that each appointment has the option of one hour as opposed to to the 30 minutes at SGFC. This is definitely saves me time and money. The front desk staff are extremely accommodating to help me navigate through the process of booking appointments and welcoming when I arrive/ leave. Long story short... Go see Hena, you wont regret it.

Great first appointment. The staff was very accommodating, fitting me in last minute. The doctors, nurses and front counter staff were very helpful, friendly and courteous. Will definitely be back!
