Have you ever done a triple backflip on your way out of the dentist’s office? Me neither, until I started getting my dental work done at Smiles Dental. They are amazing! I am one of these people who is terrified at the very thought of someone reaching into my mouth and fiddling with my teeth. It sounds painful and too often, it is painful. But not at Smiles. Sometimes Ill be like, "Sorry, did you just fill three cavities and do a root canal, or did you massage my face and cook my favorite dinner?" Thats how awesome these folks are! Let me give you a quick rundown of your visit. First off, the ladies at the front desk welcome you with the warmth of a returning veteran fresh off a two year tour in Afghanistan. They go out of their way to make you feel like you are the sole source of life giving light and warmth to our planet. They are attractive and pleasant, willing to chat with you and laugh at your jokes, rather than glaring threateningly at you the entire time you mistakenly fill out the wrong form, which is what I get at most medical offices. They even attempt to pronounce your name correctly. Next, the hygienists? They are fantastic! Typically, dental hygienists can be sadistic man hands with thick wrists and a propensity to dig their fingers into your gums until you bleed. Not at Smiles. The cleanings are as soft and pleasant as riding a cloud made of baby butts into a giant hot fudge sundae! You’ll be begging them to sublet your tongue and take up permanent residence in there. Gone are the days of your dental hygienist barking at you like a trained seal just because you don’t floss every twenty minutes. At Smiles, they’re just happy you made it! Finally, along comes Dr. Stark, with his soft, graceful hands and his easy chair-side charm. He has a beard, which makes him folksy and lovable. He makes you feel like an old friend. An old friend he would go out of his way to avoiding causing even the slightest discomfort. I’ve had cavities filled that can only be described as “refreshing.” Trust me, Dr. Stark will make you forget you are at the dentist, and instead like you are crushing dragon skulls on some mythical island made of cupcakes. Delicious! Drop what you are doing and go make an appointment with Smiles Dental in Ridgefield! They also play music while you are there. The music is so-so.

Very pleased with my first visit to this office and Dr. Killpack. Im one of the many that dont like going to the dentist and, unfortunately, usually avoid it at all cost. This is the year that I decided to get back into the routine and decided to try a new office that I had heard good things about from a couple of people. From my first moments in the office greeted by Chelsea (sp?) to further discussions with Nichole and the hygienist Sara, everything was great. Didnt feel rushed, it was a relaxing experience and all of them have a great understanding of what it takes to provide the best possible experience from the moment you walk into the office. Sara did an awesome job with my cleaning and information while keeping to a comfortable and fun atmosphere. Dr. Killpack was great, easy to chat with, knowledgeable and supported his thoughts with a thorough discussion of the facts supported with photos of my teeth. I love the fact that nothing felt rushed! After not being in a dentists office for the past 4 years or so, those days are in the past and Ill be keeping up with the routine from this point forward as long as this team is around! Thanks to all invovled!

I have been going to Smiles for several years now, along with my husband and two older kids. My 3 year old son went in for a cleaning a few weeks ago and we found out he had a couple cavities.I took him in today to have one of his cavities filled and we met Dr. Killpack for the first time, and he treated my toddler son. He was absolutely awesome with him! My son was calm and happy and loved the fact that Dr. Killpack knew some of the character names in his favorite cartoon!! We have to go back in a few weeks for the other filling, and my son is actually looking forward to it! Great experience for my son, and myself as a mother!

This office has all I need. Where do I start........The front desk staff are amazing. The girls are so sweet and kind. The dental tech (Kim) was so sweet and funny. She even gave me a fuzzy blanket for my cold feet and a hot wash cloth afterward to clean my face. I have been a nurse for a long time, so when I say someone is fabulous, I mean it. Dr. Killpack is compassionate, kind, gentle, great with injections, and just a real person. No high horse or arrogance. This place is amazing. I would recommend him to anyone. I would drive many miles to see him. No unnecessary procedures and no judgement here. LOVE LOVE LOVE

From the time I walked in everyone was friendly and very professional. Nicol at the front desk greeted me by my first name in a sunny, cheerful manner that would make everyone feel welcome. Sara was my hygienist. She did a thorough job of cleaning my teeth. She has a positive and communicative personality. Dr. Killpack was most professional in answering my questions about my teeth. I chose this dental office because it is local and very convenient.

I was very impressed with this staff and the dentist, starting with my call to make an appointment to be seen for an abcess. I was given an appointment the same day and treated very well. I will be coming back for further treatment re my abcess and then intend to continue with maintenance checkups as required, Im afraid they are stuck with me as a longtime patient. They really are welcoming and friendly!!!

My tooth broke and I knew about Smiles from a friend and I immediately called them. They were able to work me in and fixed my tooth the same day. I was so pleased since it was Thursday and I didnt have to wait over the weekend to have my tooth repaired. I will definitely go back when the need arises and will recommend their friendly office to all my friends.

Even though my husband and I have only been to Smiles for bi-yearly cleanings and a few extras here and there, the staff know and recognize us from the moment we walk through the door. They are always friendly, and make me feel like they are genuinely happy to be working with me. Above all, they have been more than accommodating with my crazy work schedule!

I had a bad toothache and leaving for vacation. They got me in same day. Dr. Killpack gave me my options, did a partial root canal. Pretty painless procedure and next day feeling good. Everybody that works there made me feel very comfortable and were very informative of my options. I have a phobia of dentists. Not anymore, I will be back.
