The staff, some of them are really nice but others can be very rude and try to charge more than what it actually is. It takes forever to get your glasses, it can take up to almost month. The experience that i have had with my family was my grandma got a pair of glasses but she couldnt see out of them. She had to have them fixed up to 4 times until she was actually able to see out of them. My uncle had a similar experience where he was supposed to have thin lenses but his lenses were as thick as a fish bowl. He said that it was like looking through a fish bowl. The eye doctor was extremely nice but like i said earlier, some of the staff can be very slow and some can try to over charge us. my insurance covers my glasses and the lady tried to charge us 40 bucks for my glasses. if i had a choice i would never go back there. With such a terrible service and some of the staff being terrible i would never recommend this location to anyone. I would try going to a different eye doctor place if you live in allen park. Update: My uncle had to wait 3 weeks for his glasses because the lab broke one of his lenses while they were making them. In all honesty, they need an entire new staff, lab and eye doctors.

I love it there only problem I have is one of the employees always finds a way to get me to spend more money than I originally plan to spend. Maybe because its more beneficial for her pockets. She pretends to be saving me money but in the end someone else there always suggests a way I could have saved my money. I hope she isnt trying to take advantage of my kind nature. However the staff is super friendly, polite and very eager to help. You never need an appointment because youll be in and out in no time. i am overly satified with the optical options and overall service.

My visit could not have been more different than another reviewers bad experience. I went in the middle of the day, without an appointment. They had plenty of staff working, and I was helped immediately. The staff was courteous. My lens prescription is a bit more involved than the norm, and the assistant was knowledgeable and answered all of my nit-picky questions. She was well-informed about what my insurance plan requires, whats covered and whats not. My experience was very positive and I would not hesitate to go back.

Always super busy and very short staffed. Be ready to wait a while even with an appointment. Terrible lab work. My new glasses came back with one lense half in the frame and I had to return to the store for repair with in 3 days of picking them up.. While there waiting over 1/2 hour for this repair there was a person next to me who picked up new glasses two days before and there were two different lenses in the frames. This place is a joke!

I had a horrible experience... The guy who does the exams was so rude!! I almost wanted to slap him... He was by far the rudest eye dr Ive EVER been to! And for the staff the front desk lady is nice but the ones who help you choose the glasses are also rude and pushy! I finally got rude right on back with all of them! Wont be back and I dare my glasses to be wrong when I pick them up! Ill throw a Fit!

Ive gone to this location since I was 4 years old (now 28) never once have I gotten glasses back sooner than 3 weeks, sometimes as long as 5-6 weeks. I never went anywhere else because I thought that was the norm. I went to the SVS in Adrian Mi because I moved, and it took them 3 business days to get me my glasses. Never again wIll I go back to waiting a month for glasses. Absolutely rideculous.

I have been wearing glasses since the age of 8 months and this was by far the best eye doctor Ive ever seen. He was honest.. Almost brutal. But I appreciated it. He educated me more than anyone that worked there before. Staff was great and super friendly. It was the first time I left an eye glass store and felt confident. Had to leave a review because I really was happy.

The manager and staff at SVS went out of their way to help me out of a jam! Im here in Michigan on vacation, and found that I accidentally packed zero dailies total contacts for my left eye and double for my right!! With just a simple phone call and a fax from my doctor in NY, SVS provided me with enough contacts for the rest of my trip!! Thanks again SVS!!!

Ordered a pair of glasses for my mother. They did not call us when our glasses came it ( its was almost two weeks). I had to call them and the lady told me that the glasses just came in today but they dint have a chance to call. They had 6 hours between the time the glasses came in and when I called. We will not be coming back to this place. TERRIBLE SERVICE!

staff was super friendly! i dont think ive ever had better service anywhere! the eye doctor himself was very thorough with his work and made sure he answered any of my questions and the lady who helped me find my glasses was an absolute doll! didnt catch her name but she was the most helpful person ever, definitely recommend taking your services here (-:

Very helpful after a bad experience with Henry Ford Optimeyes Dearborn. A lady named Kym helped me out & was very patient with Optimeyes & their stupidity. Kym understood I was on state insurance & treated me with respect & got me what I needed. Thank you, Kym for everything. I definitely recommend SVS vision Allen Park for your optical needs.

The eye doctor was extremely rude, both times that Ive gone. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable with any question that I asked, he seemed upset answering them. Both times Ive had disappointing visits, i honestly DO NOT recommend this place to anyone ! Im definitely switching eye doctors and location.
