First I made an appointment over the phone and they took down my insurance information to make sure it went through (it did). When my mother and I arrived, a lady managing the front desk had trouble finding our insurance info and kept on asking us if we were sure that we had insurance. After an embarrassing encounter she finally called our insurance to verify that we did have coverage. We were seen right away by a kind, knowledgeable student who did a great job. We were then told to wait in the room for Dr. Cooley to come in. After 20min of waiting she comes in and we proceed to get our annual eye exam. Although the exam felt rushed she did a great job. My mother instantly found a pair she liked while I couldnt. After looking for 40min the optician pulls up on her computer the Luxottica site and shows me some frames. She tells me that I could go home and look for a frame on that website then call back in and tell them a model number to order and have me try on for free. After going home and then going on to the Luxottica site there was a username and password required for me to look at the frames that the optician was able to look at on her computer in the store. So I call the office and they tell me that I can come back to the store and look at the selection of frames on their computer or browse online and hope that they could order a specific frame. Frustrated, I didnt want to drive all the way back to use their computer to see their selection of frames they could order so I go on to the ray-bans website and picked out a few. I called them and luckily they could order the ones I wanted. After waiting a week I go in the office and try them on. I picked one of them but the temple length felt short. The ray-bans website said they were 140mm while the optician said they were 145mm. There seemed to be adjustable arms on the glasses and the optician said if adjusted it can be 145mm. After reviewing the types of lenses the optician assumed that I wanted the trivex lenses and ran that order. When I said I wanted polycarbonate she said it was a few more dollars for better UV protection with Trivex lenses. I asked, "dont polycarbonate lenses have 100% UV protection?" She replied yes. So I asked how trivex lenses provide more than 100% UV protection? She replied that it just provides more UV protection. After what it seems to be a pushy, non-informative sales pitch I opted to get polycarbonate with anti-glare lenses. Nine more days pass by and I call the office to see if my glasses are ready. The person on the phone says they will be ready the next day. So I ask if I can come in anytime the next day and the answer was yes theyll be ready when you arrive. I arrive the next day and they ask for my name. After waiting 5min an employee says that my glasses are not ready, they have to be edged and itll take 20 min and that I could go somewhere to run errands. I wait 20min and when the glasses are brought out I point out the scratches on the lenses. The optician wipes my glasses and then gets up without saying anything to head to the back room. So I ask if they were scratched and she replies that she just needs to get another eye glass cloth. With each adjustment, the optician stands straight up without saying anything and seems to be irritated then goes in the back room to adjust the frames. When I pulled on what I thought was the adjustable arms (which the previous optician said could be done), the optician seeing me that day said that the arms cannot be adjusted. I was so frustrated because I was told the arms cannot be adjusted after I already bought the frames. Overall, I had a terrible experience at this store. I dont recommend anyone to visit. There were lies, embarrassment, feeling like a number instead of a patient, and worst of all not knowing if my glasses are scratched and if they just put on a scratch remover because they rushed "edging" the glasses. My mother also received sample eye drops that were expired. The temple lengths of my glasses dont fit and its really depressing going through so much trouble.

A truly awesome experience! I felt like a VIP, and not like I was just another appointment. Dr. Cooley is smart, approachable, and fun to talk to. She explained the things I was unsure of and helped me make better choices in my eye ware. The office is full of great people who are friendly, helpful, and professional. Costs were comparable to other private practices, and I felt like I got much more than my moneys worth. The office is inviting, well appointed, and clean, and I liked the fact that I didnt have to find my way through a big office building to find it- it was easily accessible with its store front on Sawmill Parkway. They also welcome very young clients- my grand-daughter had her first exam here at the ripe old age of 1 year old. Ask about the fish in the tank- each has an interesting story, like the hunch-backed fish who has osteoporosis and has been there for 8 years! I strongly recommend this practice.

Tami and Jason are exceptional people with so many talents. I know them from Rotary where they have traveled in other countries to assist with eye care desperately needed by so many children and adults. I so admire both of them for being so charitable. Tami is my doctor and she is also the best eye doctor I have ever had. She is thorough, knowledgeable, and a true professional. I would not think of going anywhere else for my eyes. They are too valuable. Also, the entire staff is so friendly and helpful.
