I took my 3 cats to get declawed @ TCAP, the declaw/no sterilization (already sterilized ) was $165.00 per cat which includes examination/anesthesia/surgery/overnight stay /yesterdays news /Antibiotic ,over 2 weeks worth/Pain meds (Gabapentin for 4 days 2 times a day) /Onsior 3 days worth ) E -collar $10.00 , Rabies Feline Vaccination $5.00 bringing the total to $180.00 per cat . Upon arrival my cats were examined /weighed . TCAP has strict guidelines on the cats being 10lbs. and under for this surgery . Unfortunately , 1 of my cats did not meet this criteria. I called/scheduled Lake Lavon Animal Hospital with a young lady who told me that the surgery/no sterilization would cost $386.00 which included the exam/anesthesia/surgery/overnight stay/medicine/yesterdays news and rabies vaccination . Although this was more than double the price of TCAP , I agreed/scheduled as starving my cat to lose 1 lb . to save money was not an option . My 2 cats were now 5 days post surgery and doing remarkably well since day one . I had high hopes for my 3rd cats surgery with Dr. Lampling .I walked in and was approached by not 1 but 2 extremely pushy sales ladies (thats what they acted like ). My cat had urinated in her crate so I expressed my concerns with cleaning my cat /crate to ensure a sterile environment pre/post surgery . My concerns were quickly heard and immediately came the paperwork . I was handed an interesting printout of the service options that were no where near what was stated on the phone . As the one lady was going over this with me the other lady was breathing over her shoulder . When I asked a question she would chime in for backup . I found this quite odd as my cat was about to undergo a major surgery and had urine all over her body/legs . I then expressed that if they needed me to clean her/crate I would be more than happy to do so . They proceeded with the paperwork and express that they would take care of it . The paperwork gave 2 options LOW PRICE $493.15 and HIGH PRICE $636.95 . The noticable difference in surgery requirements between TCAP and Lake Lavon Animal Hospital was my cat was required to have the FVRCP vaccination for surgery and she could be 11 lbs. I agreed to the FVRCP shot for precaution. I didnt feel comfortable with the answeres provided as to why the price was so different (she probably didnt add all the medicine or something but its ONLY around $100 difference ) and expressed my concern. After the paperwork was signed I remained hopeful that this was merely a misunderstanding with these 2 young ladies and possibly their aggressive actions were a result of poor training . I did receive a call which was nice that the surgery went well. The next day I picked up my cat and was given instructions , Onsior ( 1 pill ) rabies tag and litter . I called and spoke to Dr. Lampling to express my concern with what transpired from the initial quote . The reason for my concern was the well being of my cat not the money . I expressed my concern as to why I was only given 1 pain pill and absolutely no antibiotic. He went into a long drawn out story on his experience since 2004 when he became a veterinarian. After he was done with his brevato I tuned back into the reason I called . My concern was that a cat uses its feet (surgical site ) to step into the litter box to urinate/ defecate where is the antibiotic ? And why only one pain pill for amputation? His explaination was simple" Its not necessary its for precaution" @ antibiotics and as far as the pain medication " one pill was sufficient". I found this to be awfully strange that TCAP provided added precautions/pain management and Dr. Lampling didnt. Dr. Lampling did require the precaution of having me purchase FVRCP shot though . Which seemed less likely for my indoor cat to get VS. an infection while having an open wound .

Dr. Lamping and his staff are so caring and friendly. I took my Aussie, Ethan to see them for terrible skin issues. Ethan was bright red, obsessive itching to the point of bleeding, hairless from his shoulders down and completely miserable. I had tried everything for about 5 years. No vets would listen to me that he had something more than allergies. Dr. Lamping listened and was genuinely concerned about Ethan, to the extent of consulting with other professionals in the industry to ensure he was treating our case correctly. We began an agressive, long antibiotic regimen and bathing with special shampoos and within a week we could tell a significant difference in Ethan. Its now a year out and HE HAS LONG THICK BEAUTIFUL HAIR all over his healthy body!! He has regained his personality and puppy like playfullness. I never thought vacuuming my house every day would give me such joy!! (aussies shed terribly!) Dr. Lamping personally calls us to check on him. When was the last time your vet cared enough to do that? If I need to talk to him, Dr. Lamping will take my call as well. Ethan is my beautiful fur child and he deserves the very best care. If you want that to, Lake Lavon Animal Hospital is where you need to go.

The staff at Lake Lavon is fantastic! They seem like they care about the animals they see every day. Dr. Lamping spends time to look over each animal thoroughly. At past vets, they seem to check the basics-- eyes, ears, teeth, but Dr. Lamping actually palpated my dogs and cats, checked flexibility and movement. He asked lots of questions to figure out what was ailing each during their respective visits. The front office staff and vet techs are also very friendly and helpful! I am so glad they set up shop so close to home. Ive referred someone there already and I would not hesitate to do so again.

I have been taking my dog here for quite some time and every time i come everybody is nice and very patient. My dog actually enjoys coming here because everybody is friendly and enjoyable to be around. It isnt something she fights me to do, its a very easy process. They are very flexible scheduling wise and so far with my appointments have been extremely helpful and understanding with payments and pricing. I would highly recommend coming here if you are looking for a vet and staff who genuinely cares for its patients and their owners!

The staff is super friendly and welcoming! Dr. Lamping is very caring and kind to the animals; I know my pup is in good hands when he goes to see Dr. Lamping. He spends the extra time to make sure all of our questions are answered, but also sends home extra reading material about the specific reasons for our visit. The facility is always so clean; you wouldnt know whether you were in a vet or a dentist office. You will certainly be pleased with your experience. :)

My wife and I are so pleased with the people and policies of LLAH. They whisk you away to a consulting room as quickly as possible. Think about it: that other dog in some other clinic sitting next to your dog has what: parvo, a cold, some other communicable disease? Don’t worry about that at LLAH. You fill out the paper work the first time, then you are separated for your dog’s safety. They really care about your pet. The price is right as well.
