My wife and I had a very sick, elderly dog. He could barely stand, much less walk on his own power into the clinic. The staff was kind enough to come get him out of the truck and place him on a stretcher. Come to find out my dog had cancer in his lungs and we had to put him down. The vet that day was a fourth-year Veterinary student and she is going to make an EXCELLENT vet. She was so good with my dog and so caring and the assistant was the same. They both were truly bkessings at such a sad point for my wife and I. They were even kind enough to allow us to borrow the stretcher so that we could carry our dog back to our place and bury him under the tree where we had recently buried his brother. Without their kindness and letting us borrow that stretcher I would have had to carry my 110 pound deceased dog 150 yards to the pecan tree. I cant say enough how wonderful this place is and how we will definitely use them again.

This is a corporate store. Too many rules to help pets and their humans. My little 3 yr old yorkie girl got very ill on a Saturday. I drove a long way to take her to the only clinic that was open on Sunday. Well, without an appt. they would not squeeze her in. No way, no how. I called other Banfields around the DFW area and got the same robotic rhetoric. I was more than disappointed. My last choice was an emergency hospital even further away. It was very expensive. Most vets work in sick animals who need their help. I would never go back to a Banfield Vet unless than change their policies to actually work with the loving owners of pets.

I was at Banfield 2 weeks ago to get a bordetella shot for my dog. I moved to Rockwall in August and had not found a new vet yet. With that shot an exam was required and expected. I failed to realize that she also needed her distemper shot so I made an appointment 2 weeks after the initial one. Again they want to charge me $40 for an exam when they gave her one 2 weeks prior. That is Ridiculous! I am not a tight wad but there is no reason for the 2nd exam unless their first one was not acceptable. Definitely not a way to gain clients. I left and will find a local vet whose exams are acceptable.

My normal vet office was closed so I brought my dog here when he licked some spots raw on his skin. The vet told me it was fleas despite the fact I told her there was no evidence of fleas on my dog, home, or yard. I spent weeks and a lot of money on various flea treatments with no improvement. When I finally gave up on the flea diagnosis, I went to my normal vet and learned it wasnt fleas and that the skin infection had turned to staph. The misdiagnosis by the vet at PetSmart has cost me a lot of money, but more importantly caused my dog to be in pain a lot longer than necessary.

I was very disappointed when I brought my very sick schnauzer in. I had an appointment, but arrived early and they made us wait. They have a sign stating they will take sick or injured animals 1st. This was at the Rockwall banfield. We use to live in Stafford, VA and that Banfield was really good and would take walkins that were sick or injured 1st. Im really considering changing vets because of they way they treat people and pets.

Took my newly adopted cat here. More than helpful. Loved my vet. Took my 4 yr old with me, and she asked him all types of questions, and helped him understand how to care for our new kitty. I would give this place more stars if I could. Definitely my pets new dr.

Do not even think about signing up for a Banfield Pet Agreement!! Even if your pet dies you must continue to pay! They estimate their services to be worth twice as much as your typical local vet. OUTRAGEOUS!!
