I took my chihuahua there Monday afternoon bcuz she was ill. She had nausea and diarrhea and was very weak due to dehydration. Dr.Braziel was the the one who saw my baby and her first words were " has she been fixed". I said no then she rudely asked "why not" and proceeded to tell me how hard it is to care for puppies. Then I told her I wanted to know why my baby was ill. She immediately told me my baby looked as if she had pyometra which has something to do with her uterus. Which that requires surgery. I asked for blood work to be done bcuz I wanted to be 100% sure before removing her uterus then she suggested x-rays. I agreed knowing my bill was adding up, but it was ok as long as I was sure my baby would get better if in fact it was pyrometra. She comes back in then tells me she probably needed to stay the night with an IV. Then changes it to "oh, well this doesnt look good shes critical and needs to be here a few days. I asked "whats this hospital stay going to cost"? A few minutes later they tell me its going to be anywhere from$1500-$1800 just for the stay and she would also need surgery. I didnt feel good about this whole thing as I didnt really feel she was addressing her illness, but rather the interest to " fix" my dog. I walked out with my baby and went to pay for the services rendered xrays and blood work $250. Blood work showed very high BUN & CRE levels and some others. Dr.Braziel immediately came out to the front counter to tell me I needed to get my baby medical attention as she was critical and would probably not make it. I told her I needed a second opinion. Good thing I did. I took her to another vet in Sulphur Springs Tuesday morning that redid blood work and x-rays and compared them and they were completely different. The counts were a little high, but nothing like Dr. Braziel claimed. Keep in mind my baby was critcal. I gave her pedia lite and chicken broth overnight and watched her very carefully. My baby was treated for a gastrointestinal infection not even needing surgery. New xrays didnt even show a swollen uterus like Dr. Braziel claimed. The Dr. over in Sulphur looked at blood work from Dr. Braziel and from what she saw it didnt look good it looked as if my baby could have kidney failure which scared me and it sadden me to hear she probably didnt have much longer to live. So she asked if I was willing to get new blood work done there and xrays. I agreed and it was not what Dr. Braziel claimed on her blood work nothing even close. She got 3 shots and meds to go home along with xrays and blood work all for $392.00 wow big difference. So as u may guess my experience there at Country Friends was horrible. I felt as though all Dr. Braziel wanted is to rack up my bill and not even care for my baby. Never again will I go there nor will I refer anyone there. Our animals are part of our family and not simply an easy way to make tons of money off of us. Dr.Braziel showed me that to her its all about the money not our pets best interest or health. Just for the record my baby is doing better and doesnt have any kidney failure or pyometra and now I know we can give her many more years of peace, love, & happiness. Very unhappy and totally not pleased with Dr. Braziel or Country Friends for that matter. I liked when it was a small clinic and all we had was Dr. Rhonda. Its changed alot.

Because of all the horrible reviews, I initially refrained from taking my geriatric cat here for treatments and was driving to Greenville instead. I found myself in a position where I needed to take my dog in, and needed a vet close to home due to her size, and the size of my two-seater car. Dr. Decker has been AMAZING with all three of my pets! I have 100% confidence in her and this place and wish I would have taken my cat here from the beginning. Dr. Decker has taken time to study my cats bloodwork results, taken by a different vet, and has provided me her advice and compassion over the phone, even after the paid visits. Yes, taking your pets to ANY vet is not cheap! Remember, these people are doctors and we all know how much it can cost for us to go to the doctor without insurance. They have employees and bills to pay as well. The doctor has taken all steps available to ensure I am making the best and cost-efficient decision for all 3 of my pets. The staff is always friendly as well. The ladies that answer the phone, the techs, and everyone else Ive encountered throughout my multiple visits. Its unfortunate that people typically only write reviews when they have a bad experience with a place they visit. How many of you have gone to the BBB to compliment a company? Not many--Im sure. This clinic deserves a much higher rating here and Im happy to contribute! I will confidently continue to take all of my pets to Dr. Decker as long as I live in this area and am grateful for her expertise, knowledge and service.

We love Country Friends Veterinary Clinic, have been taking our dogs and cat here for quite awhile, and always recommend them to our friends and family in the area. The facilities are very clean and conveniently located. The staff are friendly, very helpful, and care. Its affordable, and they dont try to "nickel and dime" you to death. The clinic is comprised of five, female veterinarians and an extensive administrative and technician staff. They also offer kennel service which my parents have used with their dog and all concerned (even the dog) had a very positive experience.

It was a blessing to come here. The staff made me and my cat Aaron feel very welcomed and we were attended very quickly. My brother and sister in law referred me to this Vet. Clinic because of the passion and care the whole staff provided for their pets and so I decided to come here; it was the best decision I made. Thank you to the whole staff at Country Friends Vet. Clinic and please continue providing love, care and compassion!!! :-)

Basically they killed my cat. 2 visits on a 2 week period. Made illness seem like it wasnt a big deal and treatable. They subsequently under medicated our beloved cat/family member causing him to die a slow painful death. Dont go here they dont care about your pet just your money. Were still heartbroken.

WoW, I am shocked! I just called to get a price to neuter our puppy that is 9.5 lbs. and I was quoted a price of $345.71. That is 2 times the amount that Dr. Taylor charges and any other Vet in town.
