If you value ethics, morality, common good nature of humanity and Gods principles and values in caring for all life - These people have absolutely none. The killed my 2 year old miniature schnauzer over the night after they forced me to leave him with them even though I asked to bring him home after he was injured. I was never even given the courtesey to know what was going on or what his injuries even were or may be most likely so I could make an informed decision as to how to proceed. NOPE, the veterinarian decided HE would make the decision for me I guess and without any consent. The veterinarian just jerked him off the table and put him in a cage not allowing us to even know what was wrong with him so we could make medical decision that are rightfully ours. Our dog was fine later on in the evening waggin his tail and being happy, and them well "oh darn" he died - sorry. When I went to pick him up for cremation later in the afternoon, they had to audacety to tell me that 5 minutes of jerking my dog around at 5:40 the prior afternoon and then killing him later in night would cost $90! The final thing they did that prompted me to write this is when the actual veterinarian HUNG UP on me the following day when I called in to request if they had removed his collar before the cremation services had picked him up so I could get his microchiping information. He HUNG UP on me! I would not treat my worst enemy the way I, my family and most importatly my dog were treated - Christ calls us to love and lift up all people and care for all living things. This basic and fundamental value of being a human is just non-existant at Kaufman Veterinary Center. Even the front office staff were extremely rude and brazin in their responses. Understandably dealing with upset family members over deaths of animals is a natural emotion, and one would assume that the very professionals in charge of facilitating these occassions would learn even a bit more compassion and honesty in their dealings rather than looking at death and grief as just an opportunity to pad their pocketbooks.

I have been a client at this establishment for over 2 years and never had a problem until recently. I needed to purchase a product from the office this past Saturday. While on my way to the office, I realized that traffic was causing me to run later than anticipated. The office closes at 11:30 am on Saturday and I was afraid that the staff would be gone for the day when I arrived. I called the office to let them know that I was on my way but would be a few minutes late and to see if someone would be available to help me. The woman who answered the phone immediately put me on hold before I was able to state the reason for my call. I was on hold for approximately 15 minutes before I just hung up since I was only a few minutes away from the office. I arrived there at 11:33 am. There were cars still in the parking lot and I saw people inside. I knocked on the door to grab someones attention. After the third knock, a woman came to the door. She did not open the door. She spoke through the glass and asked how she may help me. I explained to her that I needed to purchase an item from inside. She told me that I had to come back on Monday. I told her that the visit did not require my dog to see the vet and that I just needed to purchase a product sold inside. She apologized (sarcastically) and said I needed to come back on Monday. I am beyond disappointed in the customer service that was given that day. I do not understand why I wasnt allowed to come inside to purchase that one item. Especially, when I can see people inside with their pets and staff attending to their needs. There was no need for her to be sarcastic and making her disinterest in my request clearly evident by not even bothering to open the door to speak to me. It is amazing how one person can ruin the way a business is viewed. Because of this one person, I have found a new vet for my dog and will be taking my business there.

I first started using this Vet clinic in 2005. I found out a short time later my uncle who breeds blue heelers also uses and trusts this vet clinic. In short, theyre affordable, provide necessary treatments and prophylaxis, and are extremely available. They are first come, first serve. If youre looking for a vet to do a whole bunch of procedures on your pet every time you come in, this is not the vet for you. They do the basics and whatever else you ask for. If they are unable at the clinic, they make great recommendations on where to go. Even when a dogs outcome isnt exactly as they expected, they do what they can to rectify the situation. One of my dogs had a skin tumor which they removed and it came back in 3 weeks. They removed it again, for free, with me only picking up the cost of running histology on it. They performed surgery and multiple nights care on my moms golden retriever after he got a bread bag lodged in his intestines and all of that was at least 1/5th the cost of one nights stay in an emergency clinic who just monitored the dog. Now, Im dealing with referrals for one of my dogs to have knee surgery and they have been nothing but sweet to my dog, me, and thoughtful in the referral process. On a side note, referring to the other post, I watched a family come in with their dog who had passed. They skipped the other customers, talked with the family, confirmed he did pass, and made themselves available to them. The family chose to take the dog home. Im sure they have bad experiences, but I have only had positive ones.

The vets are awesome, the staff are beyond horrible. I rushed my calf in one afternoon after he got into some pesticides. I got there just as the clinic went to lunch. The lady in the office refused to call the vet and wouldnt give me the number of any other vets who treat cows. I was told I had to wait nearly 2 hours before a vet would be back from lunch to see him. My calf suffered so much while waiting for them to come off of lunch while. One of the vet techs came over and laughed at my calf having seizures and refused to help him until the vet came back from lunch. My calf died at the clinic and suffered horribly when he could of been saved if someone would have cared to help him when we got there. I was treated badly by the staff the next day too with trying to get the information on if my calf survived the night.
