This doctor has the absolute worst bedside manner of any doctor I have ever encountered. He is abrubt, rude and egotistical. He performed surgery on my 61 year old mother. After advising him that she has trouble healing he told her that it was her prior surgeon that didnt know what he was doing. This is not the case. 13 surgerys to remove dead dying skin had nothing to do with her past surgeon but everything to do with her ability to heal. Fast forward to a life saving surgery my mother needed for diverticulitis performed by this jackass doctor. Her incision is split and appears that her insides are protruding out. I called the emergency number to speak with the doctor and send a picture of what we are seeing. This Dr. Kassir was rude and down right mean when he returned my call. He asked me what I would like him to do? Really what I would like is a nice pleasant understanding response about my concern for my mother. He tells me if im that worried to go to the ER and that there is nothing wrong. I would love to know how he can determine this without seeing even a picture. I asked if I could please email a picture of the incision so that my worries can be addressed by him seeing exactly what I am seeing. He then proceeded to yell at me and told me he isnt going to look at any picture and continued to yell and berate me over the phone. A complaint is being made with the Arizona Medical Board regarding this horrible doctor and his so called medical judgement. I would advise anyone seeking any sort of bowel surgery to find another doctor and do not waste your time or put your life in the hands of this quack. We are now back in the hospital for healing issues.

Our experience with Dr. Kassir was in all aspects, excellent. My husband had to have colon surgery and we were fortunate enough to be referred to Dr. Kassir. Dr. Kassir is one of the few surgeons in our area (Scottsdale/Phoenix) who skillfully employed the robotic technique to remove a section of my husbands colon. This procedure was so much less invasive than the traditional surgery for his condition and resulted in a much shorter recovery time and excellent outcome. Dr. Kassir performed a total proctocolectomy and ileal pouch anal anastomosis on me just over a year ago. My experience from start to finish was amazing! Dr. Kassir is knowledgeable and possesses a rare kindness not often found in doctors these days.
